    1) A lie in.
    2) School fair today, so I bought some home made lemonade and a couple of raspberry canes. Next year, I'm going to donate some gluten-free cakes so that weird people like me can have a treat too - everything has flour in it. There were cakes, biscuits, scones with jam and cream, burgers, hot dogs and pork steaks in buns. Someone very kindly gave me a pork steak in a napkin, which was lovely. I resisted the bric-a-brac stall but it was a near thing.
    3) Picked a bowl full of strawberries from the garden and passed a couple over the fence for the babies next door. Lots of squeakings.
    4) An impromptu invitation for drinks from our next-door but two neighbour, so we met the extended family and it was lovely. I got to see his veg patch too.
    5) The rain coming down in stair-rods. We need it for the garden and the allotment so it did stop the party but I am very glad for the crops.

    Evening all.

    My five for Saturday:

    1. I know (from years back) one of the young people playing at Junior Wimbledon who did really well in their match today - it was fun watching the scores online as they happened.

    2. Loads of washing done and dried in beautiful sunshine. Sheets tomorrow methinks. I love pegging out washing.

    3. A really, really tidy house. :D

    4. Easy supper of quiche, salad and baked spuds. Salvaged the last remaining beetroot (from the vegibox before last). It was about to expire but I found it just in time and baked it along with the potatoes. Just lovely.

    5. Another NSD.

    Sleep well.

Its still hot! Here's my 5:

    1) Took bigger son to his animation workshop and he made the Wererabbit. He also got the signature of the man from Aardman (not Nick Park but his collegue).

    2) Little son and I did Ludlow's 2nd hand shops and found a top from White Stuff which is my sister's favourite shop so bought it for her.

    3) Drove over to feed my sister's cat. We were all getting a bit grumpy then as it was ridiculously hot in the car. But we got that job done.

    4) Got the paddling pool out back home.

    5) Had fish and chips for tea.

    6) Enjoyed watching Dr Who then Casualty later.

    7) Spoke to my neighbour and it sounds as though his horrible week is picking up a bit now, so that's good.

Looking forward to tomorrow. I don't know if I've already mentioned this but it is sons' school's Classic Car Show and we are staffing the book and toy stall from 1-3 (might be quite hot!) Usually, everything finishes at 3 but the man from the village pub is bringing a big screen on to the field and we're all going to stay and watch the football and there will be a BBQ in the interval (do you call it an interval??)

Morning all! Going to be another scorcher here. My 5 for yesterday:

    1. Doing the Core Blimey class at the gym and enjoying it - I've booked for next week. Also did a fair bit of cardio work.

    2. My favourite crime dramas on TV in the evening.

    3. Loading more stuff/programs onto my new netbook. Can't get Outlook to work, so need to get that sorted.

    4. Gorgeous hot sunny day - so good to see everyone in shorts and summery stuff.

    5. Cuddles with Fudge and Willow - always a pleasure.

    Nice to see you, Jexy!

    Here's my five for yesterday:

    1. Making a lovely tea which was done on the grill very quickly so as not to add to the heat. :) We had marinated sweet chilli chicken skewers, mini kofte meatballs, salad and potato salad. Yum! DH commented that the skewers were amazing.
    2. While we were out in the garden and the house had all the doors open, I cooked a small gammon joint in the slow cooker for today.
    3. Having a nice look around Mr T - I was on my own and had a good long look.
    4. And resisting to buy some things! Happy me :D
    5. A good night's sleep. :)

Hi Jexy! Hope you're doing ok :) Well, it looks like it's going to be a hot one here. There's not a lot planned except trying to keep cool :D Have a good day everyone.
