Ginger snap I have no idea how to do links so here's the freebie board thread I found the CM detector on. Hope it's 'legal' to put it in like this, I'm useless at techie things!

I put in my post code which certainly isn't in the north, but they sent it anyway. Good luck :D

    Early evening all,

    1. As its been really muggy here I have been to bed for a bit. Lazy thing!
    2. A text from a friend.
    3. Cooling off now with some rain.
    4. Nice Sunday lunch out.
    5. Seeing a blackbird make the most of the rain, and is off worm hunting.

I don't post on here as often as I should but I do take time to think about the good bits on a daily basis.

    Mine for the entire weekend.

Starting and finishing a revamp project on my bathroom - I'm lucky enough to have the time (albeit snatched in short bursts) to spend doing crafty stuff at the moment.

Making some lovely home made food for an impromptu BBQ which resulted in spending some much needed quality time with DD's.

Enjoying the fact that DH's new electric wheels allowed us to go out for a 3 mile wander without me pushing his wheelchair.

Take away and wine last night - very much needed and very much enjoyed.

Listening to last nights storm, the lashing of the rain and watching the lightening whilst cosy in my bed.

Evening all! My 5 for today:

    1. Spending the afternoon with friends, sat outside in their garden.

    2. Going to buy timber treatment stuff for the back fence and varnish for the front door and deciding that actually I probably don't need to do it - so some money saved there.

    3. Taking some old shoes to the charity bin at the local supermarket and clearing out some old carpet to take to the tip. My house is emptying slowly...

    4. Yummy homemade curry and rice for tea.

    5. Getting a phone call from my prospective lodger/tenant, saying that she is happy with the email that I sent her, setting out details of what I'd charge for rent etc. All is moving along nicely!
Life is not a dress rehearsal.

    6. Finding 3 whoopsied ready meals for less than half price in Asd@, which I have frozen. (Hope that's going to be okay...what does anyone think re.freezing on last date)

I've certainly frozen such bargains in the past and will no doubt do so again in the future. I've lived to tell the tale!

Kittikins your holiday sounds blissful. I always think Devon is the perfect place for a UK holiday especially with children :D
niksyg well done pup for a dry night and well done you on your bargain find :T . I love shabby chic and am planning my 'new' kitchen in that style when it arrives
Ginger Snap clues please on how to leave a supermarket after buying only one thing. I can so seldom do that :o
wssla well done on your great car boot buys, didn't you do well :T
Kitchenbunny lucky you getting a thunderstorm, I love them too but only saw rain :(. Hope your head feels better this evening ;)
mineallmine I agree, it's been too 'close' to do much else than rest, so much the better if it's in bed :D. Isn't it nice watching the birds enjoy spring rain? Hope you blackbird found a good dinner
Pooky the elec wheels must make a huge difference to getting out for a more leisurely walk, wheelchairs aren't the easiest things to manouvre. Another one who had a storm - unfair  ;)
ralloctiger nothing like coming off a night duty to a quiet house and cool bed. Sounds like you had a real chill out day to follow - bliss :D
wogglemaker - and you had a nice chill out day too, I envy you your roast pork as it's one of my favourite meats, even better when you have someone to make it for you:)
savingforoz good that you don't have to treat the fence before you go, hope it lasts for the time you're away. Sounds like you've got a really good prospective tenant, they're few and far between so I hope it all stays positive :)
GirlySquare lol I'm already wondering what I can grow on the shed roof! Well done doing a meal plan, it must make things so much easier, I will do it, one day...

    My 5

    1. Up and out by 10 to meet a friend for breakfast in a country park cafe, she needed a sounding board. Got home at midday only to get a call from another friend in a predicament so spent an hour listening to her problems. Not very OS but it did stop my plan to go to a car boot sale where I'd no doubt have spent money I didn't need to ;)
    2. My little olive tree looks as though the harsh winter has killed it off so I cut it hard back this afternoon. I understand one isn't supposed to but I'll try that rather than buy a new one.It has one year to show signs of life or it's chips:eek:
    3. Managed to put the shutters on the beach hut but I need some brawn to drive the screws right home - at the mo they're all only half in. Will have to wait til someone with wrists tougher than mine comes to visit and persuade them they really want to help :o. I'll have to learn how to put a photo on when it's completed
    4. My £1.99 peony tree (which turned out to be two trees when I took it out of the packing) which I planted last week is showing lots of new growth already. Thank you Freebie (Low Spend) Board :T
    5. Had a sausage salad sandwich, followed my a Magnum for my tea. So piggy but so delish :D

    Night night, sleepy tight
