Mine are in the midst of an annoyance-

I love the term annoyance, it beats exaserbation (sp) into a cocked hat, although i'm not too sure what A & E would make of it ;) (must remember for next time).

LOL yep. My nurse was like you are SO brittle. I was like er no... not brittle.... it is annoying. I think they should change the words to something more realistic!

    my 5 for Saturday

    1. Lie in til 9am (I'll beat you yet Ginger snap, just practising at the mo :p)
    2. Made a slatted bench to stand pots on...like Hong Kong, I've run out of space to spread out so I'll just have to go up :D
    3. The weather was perfect, warm and sunny all day then a good downpour at watering time :D
    4. Postie brought me a free carbon monoxide detector to stick up by the boiler :j
    5. Using up day, I had half a chicken breast in a sachet of korma sauce with some ratatouille and a slice of brown bread - a really strange combination but it was actually quite morish

Just going to make my phone call then see if I can sleep til 10am...oops, just remembered I have to be out by 10am. Drat

    Night night, sweet dreams

Hello everyone, I'm back from Devon :):) Hugs to all, I've read a few pages, sounds like lots of lovely pleasures going around.

Here are a few of mine for the past week

    1. The cottage was as lovely as we remembered it from the first time :)
    2. When DD and I stopped off for lunch on the way down, the waitress told us of a different route that cut out a lot of congestion around Stonehenge, lovely lady :)
    3. Good weather all week, and I'd already planned an indoor activity for the one morning it rained!
    4. Lovely to be on holiday with my best gal, we had such fun together, a mummy/daughter week of fun and frolics
    5. We both made new friends on the beach ......
    6. Went up in a hot air balloon (tethered, but good enough for us to say we'd fulfilled a joint dream!)
    7. We went only slightly over budget, I blame the cream teas!
    8. We found a new "favourite" beach in case we go back for a 4th holiday in the area in years to come :)
    9. I loved being on holiday on my own with DD, we had complete freedom to do as much or as little as we wanted each day
    10. Listening to the rain beating down outside and knowing we're home sweet home.

    Morning!
Well I've had a lovely couple of days - been finding it hard to pop in!
Friday we went to the Royal Bath and West show, had a lovely day.
My pleasures for yesterday are -

    1) Woke up to find that pup had had a clean nihgt - no mess to clear up first thing.
    2) Filling up my car cheaply thanks to Mr T money off coupon
    3) Spent the afternoon in the garden, and it's starting to look really good :T
    4) Went to buy more garden supplies and on way popped into a second hand shop for a mooch - got a really lovely pair of bedside tables that I can paint and make shabby chic, plus the guy gave them to me for £40 instead of £45 and he gave OH a book on the Royal Marines for free because he was looking through it and when they guy asked and OH said he was in RMR he said, "well, you'd better have that as a gift then"....what a charming chap!! :)
    5) OH and I made a new flower bed, with our Belfast Sink (soon to be water feature) in the middle - as we were admiring it pup jumped into the sink (no water in it yet!) and then just stayed there looking all dopey! Gave us a right giggle...
    6) Had BBQ for tea - mmmm, 3rd one this week!
    7) Cuddles on the sofa watching 300

All in all a great day and a good end to my week off.
Have a lovely sunny sunday all :)

Molly the westie:those testing sites sound just up my street, please which ones would you advise starting with?
Savingforoz: your £2.49 is megga impressive, when you compare it to our usual £150 in Asd@ a week (admittedly now reduced to about £80- and I thought that was good until I saw your total!!)
Ladyhawk: enjoy your hols, very lucky you!
Wssla00: I love Victoria Wood too, and all those sketches with Julie Walters in. Please how did you manage to get the free seeds from Alan Romans?
Sparrer: love your Hong Kong analogy! Bet your patch is looking fantastic. Where did the carbon Monoxide detector come from pls? Now feel it is something I should have and am starting to worry...
Kittikins: your holiday sounds so lovely! And what perfect weather you had. Are you prepared to share the name of your perfect beach you found pls?!?! (I might be in that neck of the woods later in the summer)

My 5 for today so far:

    1. Kids spending the day with some very good friends of theirs who they haven't seen for 6 months so I am happy for them and also happy to get a few hours peace!:j
    2. Planning my Asd@ shop through MySupermarket, printing out my list and being ecstatic at the checkout today (cue bemused cashier!) to find I was actually IN BUDGET! There's a first time for everything...:rotfl:
    3. Popping into Sainsbods for some Gillette razors which are on half price offer at the mo, and resisting temptation to buy anything else!:D
    4. Cooking a delicious ham in cola for tea tonight with jacket potatoes, yummy!
    5. Enjoying the cooler weather.
    6. Finding 3 whoopsied ready meals for less than half price in Asd@, which I have frozen. (Hope that's going to be okay...what does anyone think re.freezing on last date)

Ginger snap - I probably get most trials from cosmetic research (thread here), its not just cosmetics, I have had household items from them as well. If you shop frequently at Tesco and have a clubcard you can join their panel (details of how to join here). Or you can become a BzzAgent, which is where you get sent products and you tell all your friends and family about how great they are.
There are loads more panels available, a thread here has more. Hope that helps!

They are doing a special offer for june. If you buy three seed packets then you get three free. The packets are only 59p a pack and are great quality. All my seeds come from there. Just planted up some more yesterday so all in all a happy bunny!

Afternoon, everyone. Ooh, had a few too many drinkies last night - my head still feels a bit spinney. I very rarely indulge, so I'm not too fussed. Here are my 5 pleasures:

    1. Going to a friend's barbecue last night. It was a lovely time, and they had a paddling pool to cool off in. I didn't overeat either!
    2. Having some of those little chorizo empanadillas I made earlier in the week. They're great for the morning after. :)
    3. DH bringing me a cup of tea in bed.
    4. Steak sandwiches for tea. Yum!
    5. The cooler weather, and last night's thunderstorm. We sat on the doorstep and watched it - great entertainment.

I'm feeling (apart from headachy) incredibly OS today. I want to make do with what I've got in and make tasty and varied food, and I want to share that with people. Unfortunately, none of my friends are as interested as I am (I think) so it's difficult. :s Oh well.

Newlywed - I envy you. I'd love to have a raised bed (eventually) but I can't see it going down too well! Those brownies sound awesome too!
gingersnap - One of the best things about roasts is leftovers! :D Well done on the shopping list - I need to learn how to do that. :)
Ladyhawk - I treated myself to some new glasses earlier this year. It's brilliant being able to see things clearly again. :)
GirlySquare - Ooh, lovely - breakfast in bed. :) I got a cup of tea, and that always makes me smile.
Savingforoz - I miss going to the gym. I used to be a real gym bunny but gave it up as I couldn't afford it. Now, I find it difficult to get motivated to work out at home :s
Mollythewestie - Sounds like you had a nice day :)
wogglemaker - Glad you're feeling a little better.
berniesmaster - There's nothing like your own bed! I love my bed :D
wssla - I love Victoria Wood. I'd love to see her on TV more often.
sparrer - Nicely done with the bench!
Kittikins - Going up in a hot air balloon is something on my "life to do list" I ought to write them all down somewhere so I can tick them off. :)
niksyg - We just got 300 and I'm looking forward to watching it :D

Right, I'm off to raid the cupboards. The only thing about the morning (afternoon, even) after is the munchies. I've been perpetually hungry since I got up this morning. Must be good. Must be good! Have a lovely day everyone (((hugs))) to those in need.

    Kitchenbunny xx
