2) lunch with friends and dd2
3) packing while watching another episode of dr who. Only one behind now
4) mum and I staying in a budget ibis. No tea making facilities but we have our travel kettle, tea bags etc

We're in quite a good spot for royal history. Prince Arthur (Henry 8's older brother) lived in Ludlow for a while and there is a stone post near my house where the coffin was supposed to have been placed whilst on the way to his burial in Worcester Cathedral.
Pleasures for today:
1) Not a bad sleep, though took me ages to go to sleep in the first place.
2) Went to see the hens and planted a row of rainbow chard.
3) Carried on tidying up, washing, cleaned the bathroom.
4) Listened to the Archers.
5) Made Jack Monroe 10p burgers.
6) Blackleaded the stove.
7) Played football with smaller son.
8) English Lit revision with bigger son (exam tomorrow...)0 -

-also linking to my 3 young pupils during our first proper 'lesson' on Friday.
Again, remarkable and rewarding, which is not to say & is not working and prepping for them, too :-)
2. Something finally sorted and done yesterday, after some time, personal wrestling and difficulty. Will shortly ring Australia to discuss and confirm, hoping for good news.
3. What fantastic rugby semi-s to listen to yesterday! Good excuse for not doing the drowning run into emporium during thundering downpour. So sorry Vicky, Tigers pipped at post, but so glad sarries were snuffed by Exeter Chiefs earlier. If only glorious Maro Itoje wasn't in that wrong, wrong team. Later back up on gallops to watch weather theatre as darkness fell

Frith - Somehow will manage Spits prep AND be with Keir Starmer in Town of Gown on Wednesday@13h. Like him, deffo. future PM.
Really cross with grauniad Cambridge piece yesterday. Inaccurate, hugely. Their Liblurch-Demonic surfaces. Our Dan unseated their candidate, who voted 782 times with tories.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

* chicken, snow peas, celery, green onions, carrots and celery stir fry with a little Asian style sauce I mixed up. That make 5 good things today.
Thank you & and Firth and DD! Looking into this history is fun.
Tired of the same ole Billy the Kid stories from my part of NM. Although a woman I went to church with many years ago had a MIL who used to feed him and his friends, at her ranch house, on his way by her place.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Had a good weekend.
Friday had furniture delivered. I managed to put the desk together by myself. Feeling pleased but bookcase needs 2 people but partly done.
Spent time in the garden and then out to a local pub/ restaurant for a meal to celebrate my birthday. DH, DS2, DS1 and his girlfriend all came so was lovely.
Saturday- my parents came over for an hour or so and looked at the garden. I then went for coffee and cake with a friend. In a place we hadn't been too in ages and it h as d been newly decorated.
Spent rest of the day gardening while listening to rugby and then glass of wine in garden.
Sunday- friends came over for a BBQ. Very relaxed with lots of laughter. Very sunny and warm.0 -
1) We have tickets for the rugby final at Twickenham next Saturday &. DD1 treated us and bought us rail tickets too, Oh My Goodness am I looking forward to that!
2) Successful boot fair (yard sale Mila but not at home, it's held in a big field with lots of people taking pitches and selling their own things) where not only did we make a substantial amount of cash towards a new table but took the left over clothes and textiles to the clothing bank last night too. Books will go in the book bank today!
3) He Who Knows grows me a couple of rows of Sweet Williams each year, usually on the allotment but this year we put them into one of the garden beds and they've just started coming into flower and such a range of colours so today I'm going to cut a huge bunch to come indoors and fill the house with that 'clovey' perfume, I love 'em!
4) We're starting to harvest from the polytunnel, only little gem lettuce and parsley at the moment but have courgettes set and growing on in there and the peas have fattening pods on them, the beetroot are showing bulgy roots under the leaves and the basil is getting taller. Lots of spring cabbage in there growing on too but that will take a couple of months to be big enough to cut.
5) Trip to the allotment last night where we look to have an extremely good crop of gooseberries coming along this year, I love making gooseberry jam and am always intrigued at how a fruit that is green and sour transforms into such a sweet and delicious 'pink' jam!0 -

DD, oh Lake Garda looks amazing it's my DB's favourite place.
Over the weekend
1 Visited the in-laws yesterday, and stopped in at the cheap shops on the way down.:p
2 We took a big bag of various stuff over to in laws, and they loaded me up with plants, they have very green fingers.:o
3 We ate too much, we eat a lot less now, so the meals just seemed big but very enjoyable.:)
4 A beautiful day watered the plants and hung out 3 loads of washing on the line.
5 Corned beef hash well with amended recipe so it’s new pots mixed in just a little health friendly.
6 Rather blissful, the neighbours have replaced their fence and DH is enjoying planning to make something for me to grow things up,:T
For today
7 Sorted the plants to areas and transferred the toms to a grow bag, rescued beans from greenhouse where something ate three quarters of the plants!
8 Made fish and veg for dinner, and made plans to batch cook tomorrow.:)
9 Switched on the van fridge and put the clean bedding on and in.
10 Sort of enjoying the weather, wish my complexion would let me enjoy it more!0
