Skint, wow that is a bargainous meal deal.
Mhags: wow to those knitters, bless these people who are involved.
1.The lidls specials next thurs are great for us and I have made a mental gardening list. We also want the weekend olive oil offer as we use that as a base for a treat for the fuzzies.:T
2.After a dreadful night, and feeling sorry for myself, while still rough I did feel more with it until now – urgh.
3.The storm has been a battering, it normally never hits us so I’m surprised, the neighbours tree plant went rolling down the road, our car protected ours but got bounced about so much the alarm kept going off. The other neighbours fence which has only stayed up by our help previously is now over and I am relieved it blew their way rather than on to our kitchen. I know it may sound a bit selfish but phew as neither DH or I are feeling up to moving it.:p
4. Had a grilled bacon sandwich which served as both brekkie and lunch, I will make cawli, tomato and something later yesterday’s food today now the razors in the throat are letting up a bit low carb/low GI. Remembered to take various chicken things out of the freezer for tomorrow, it’s nice to see we are using up things and the fridge is rather empty I think we will have to shop tomorrow
5. More cuddles from the animals, I am starting to feel a bit of caged ness as I haven’t been out since last Saturday but hey in the same vein, all those NSDs and NPDs.:o0 -

Not the best of days today.
Found out rather a lot of things last night that certainly haven't helped bigger son's behaviour or mood over the last few months :-/ Did not go to sleep until after 5am, after that little lot.
Pleasures for today:
1) A lie in - still not enough sleep!
2) Went to feed the hens, walking through Storm Doris.
3) Nothing important blew away.
4) Took smaller son for his prescription, popped in the charity shop and also into the new library.
5) Very understanding doctor on the phone and managed to get bigger son in for an emergency appointment. She did what she could and has made an emergency psych appointment...
6) Made fajitas for tea.
7) Sons are now at role playing evening with my brother and brother in law.
Grotty day continues in that I have had to drive through the storm, rain, fog and dark to drop parents off at local brewery. Have to set off at 10 to pick them up again. To top that journey off, ran over a badger on the way - couldn't avoid it :-(0 -
A brief hello .
We had a big fright yesterday , one of the ways which OH may die is by his tumour haemorrhaging . Yesterday his tumour haemorrhaged. It was the most horrific moment of my life , not just the vast blood as such just the horror of this is it.
However, it's not it yet. We then went on to spend a lovely family afternoon/ evening playing cards and chatting.
The kindness of nurses and doctors. I was hugged and held tight by a few yesterday.
One of the care assistants bringing in a vase of apricot roses.
We know we don't have long at all but every little extra moment is precious.
So a new day begins and we will see what it holds in store, kids will come in and we will be together which is just so important.

frith just hang on in there with your boy. Hopefully you will get through this period with him and will be able to look back on it.
Continue to lead them by example ...tiny little hugs as I know you're not huggy!0 -
You can have a hug, MHags, but I've been told it's like hugging a telegraph pole! I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with my arms so often end up slapping the other person on the back.
Thank you for your words about bigger son. Sorry to hear about your day yesterday, that sounds very shocking. Hope today goes smoothly for you. x0 -
Jenny is five years old. Her battery has eight years left.
And here she blows for them in deed! :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls
Good read about DD. Good to see people take their enthusiasm for work, challenge the norm and be rewarded. Inn a way, that is how my team work. We talk about what we have to do in our huddle, all inputting our four thoughts, what I did last week, what I am doing this week, what I did well, what I need help on. That gets the huddle going. And, see below. That is delivering!
And please and thank you also help!
5 Back with BoPsie. Raffles helped her out. He found a frog.
4 Back at the mill. Project is going well. We do what we can, prioritise and highlight. Looks a good one. Oh, and software speak as well. How things have changed from my early days!
3 Watching spurs. :rotfl:
2 Night snoggled up to BoPsie!
Give :heartpuls to those around you. Whisper as you hear their words. Never let a curse offend you and bloody well think of their good0 -

Telegraph pole hugs for frith you are an amazing mum
And :heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls to Jenny
1) students delayed due to sleet. I then explained the difference between snow and sleet.
2) excellent workshop on social networking and professionalism dilemmas. Very interesting hearing different experiences and viewpoints. I gave this site as an example of virtual friends.
3) then talk by the lovely jo Clifford. Sadly not well attended, perhaps due to weather and medical school being a bit of a track from city campus
4) met friend I haven't seen for ages a short I was leaving. He's a porter, normally on level 5. I was getting the lift up to level 7
5) stew from the freezer. Tasty and quickMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Thinking of Mhags and Frith as they go through such tough times.
Happy Anniversary to Jenny.
Nice to 'see' you DD
Some pleasures for the last couple of days,
Making a big batch of carrot and butternut squash soup, one of my favourites with plenty of cumin.
Unexpected visit from my SIL, lovely to see her and catch up on all the news.
Window cleaner turned up this morning, dressed as a trawler man ready for the wet weather, not sure I would go up a ladder in these winds!
Trip into BurySt, productive in hunt for new vehicle for Capt S, hairy drive home with trees down.
Staying indoors this afternoon and avoiding the worst of the storm.0 -
Mhags, jeez, that must have been a scare beyond all. Can't have done your BP much good. Beeg hugs. Well done also on restoring normality. My Dad loved playing cards right up to and through his last days. It was the last thing he and my sister did together. His wreath from her and my niece was the Ace of Hearts.
Frith, aw shazbat re DS1, but hope some moving forward can come of this.
Ach, re the badger but thank God you had the reactions not to try avoiding it, if that makes sense.
Badgers are lovely but well, badgers.. You in one piece is what counts.
This is so minor and petty compared with what all others are going through, however...
Facebook has banned me for three days for videoing a version of 'Walk of Life' from the live music club. I'd already deleted it but someone had spotted it before it was deleted so I was duly punished. Oh... B*gger as Unlucky Alf would say.
On the up side I got ten product reviews written for Amazon plus other things done instead of FBing in supposedly idle moments. Dr C. dropped by, much better than he has been and we had an enjoyable meal together for the first time in ages.
We escaped Doris. The neighbours' blue recycling wheely bin fell over in a bit of a breeze on Tuesday night, when it was windier than it was today.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0
