Welcome Y V. Is mard rind 'ere!
5 BoPsie saw off old neighbour this morn. Came home, good show. Amazing, we knew him for thirteen years and never knew he was another boni night kid! There you go, if eleven people are in a room, two will have the same birthday!
4 BoP was out at the quack for pills etc. Picked up from pharmacy. Good. Just as well! Old dear was in there. Oh no she not want to trouble the doc. Husband had the trots, so only wanted some Imodium for him. Pharmacist refused to give her some, she'd been in twice the week already. She muted he was well past eighty eight. Good advice from pharmacist, and off to consulting box. Think she did not want to hear, but ...
Bloody good we have this and people who care. You'll not get that service in an emporium outfit!
3 Me and BoPsie slipped out last evening and snook a wobbleade each! Noses were rubbed, wags were chortled. No food was partaken. The world was corrected and put right. Got that!
2 Night watching the T20. It is raining! More later! Just had crunch tea. Salad, and special egg and bacon rice nices. Recipe available on request. Not available by Mr Ben!

1. DH and I got up at 5am to get all the animals to the vets, one to be neutered, one to be treated for suspected adrenal, an unknown bad tooth removed, animal MOT’s and all re vaccinated, the vet fund was completely used in full:eek:, thankfully we are lucky to be able to call the vet a friend, people travel far and wide to her for her surgery, and she moved further away recently hence the up early.
2. The vet is very near the sea so we walked down and spent time enjoying sea air, and stopped at a caf! for a snack.:D
3. Home and mowed the front garden, weeded the back garden and spent about an hour cleaning up the pond while trying not to disturb the newts. Mowed the back lawn well scalped and put down weedkiller on the patio as the animals need to stay in tonight.:)
4. Tonight is wholemeal rice and hm chicken korma.
5. Sleepy very sleepy and it’s only 8.:o0 -

Oh boy! - &'s hometown name just took 5th wkt!!! Good stuff. Jesse Ryder, another Monty P-style bit of troubled soul, and NBHS old boy bien sûr, is settling in nicely with Essex. Another touch of redemption and we can never have too many of those.

1. Suspected cba day pretty much enforced, as rain thundered down at all the wrong times.
2. Finished book to sound of above, with feet up in garden room. 1st extended time spent therein. Verdict? More and more:-) Planned out guttering to another rain butt. That means earning chez Spits asap. but that can't happen until new exhaust goes on &obile. Exploratory not until 9 Aug.
3. Excellent vicarage time this a.m.
4. So good to see mhags' msgs. Safe home soon.
5. Frith - phandom, stardom! ''Hens very jolly and got a good video with Barbara staring into the camera. :-D''

pk - quick read pulled me up on your no.3, You didn't MOVE the front garden at all...
Okay bop, 127 isn't too much of a target, but oh no.....silly boy Jesse. Gone 2nd ball.
Lainey - 8 Oct for blowers and swanny is a most auspicious Norwich-y sort of date. I'm looking forward to it and liking the knowledge that there's plenty of looking forward still in wait.
Yvieblue - I realise I've not added my Bienvenue to you. I've enjoyed your posts so much, they already feel part of the furniture here.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Another enjoyable day off
Breakfast in the garden, sun was out but chillier so coffee went cold too quickly.
Couple of days ago picked up some 200 thread EC sheets in WC sale, 50% off and already delivered, washed, dried and in airing cupboard.
Hour or so reading in the sunshine before clouds rolled over.
Into Uni City for hair cut, Captain avoided all coffee chains and had hot beverage in proper caff.
Home again and evening walk with the girls avoiding rain clouds so smart hair is safe. Now just finished bowl of strawberries with choc ice plonked on top, yum.
PK, hurrah for all lovely vet friends who look after our animals
& tickets for Norwich will be booked, anticipation of good night
KK love thought of all those flowers and :j for Prosecco.0 -
Thank you for all the warm welcomes - feeling at home already:)
More reading here - sun had hidden by the time I picked up my book and alas no garden room; something I aspire to:) but the book is good - an Icelandic crime story - as was the accompanying cuppa and choccy biccies!
A nap followed - no guilt but definitely a pleasure after a restless night's
sleep.
A walk in the warm breeze earlier and it began to rain a little, like a dripping tap - the raindrops were extraordinarily cold when they hit my
arms and as there were so few of them it wasn't an unpleasant sensation.
A young Fox came out to explore the garden earlier - small dog was most put out and barked loudly from behind closed doors; he's braver that way!
Oldest child (who is no longer a "child" at all!) is out with friends and staying at one of their homes this evening so am engrossed in watching some photographers compete on TV until I hear from child/adult that they are home safe, then it's off to sleep between crisp clean sheets.0 -
Hopefully you are nearly home now, MHags. Enjoy the Haggis reunion.
Pleasures for today:
1) A lie in!
2) Painting done so cleaned kitchen - drawers, cupboard fronts etc.
3) Finished cleaning sons' room.
4) 3 egg day for the hens.
5) Babysat my niece! She didn't wake and I didn't dare go in to check in case I woke her up.0 -
Thursday's five:
1. The mortgage application is moving - would love to have the bulk of it out of the way before I go back to work
2. Cherry berry lemonade - in love with this!
3. Lit some nice candles that I bought ages ago and they smell lush - Amazonian Lily
4. The dog clearly missed me while I was out most of yesterday, so got plenty of cuddles when I got home
5. Other half making me laugh and just being fab with everything that we've got going on0 -

5 The wager fund increased last night as I watched the T20 cricket. Tonight, the pots and pans have gone inn on ... More tomorrow. This week BoP is up.
Please note, BoP used to invest his money with unit trusts. Never made money. More fun doing it this way!
4 Car insurance has come in again another year of BoP wheels on the road. BoP drives without conviction. Off the streets.
3 Tried new rice mix last evening, you know, none of that benny carp, long rice, pan fried with chopped mushrooms and onions, shredded best back, in soy sauce. Then chopped soft hard boiled eggs. Looks and tastes excellenti. You know you want to try it as well.
2 Night, BoP has gathered all the stocks of red paint. BoPsie will be in the glad rags.
On later tomorrow, everything you wanted to know inn painting the town red0 -
Got a feeling BoP is going to have to eat his head scarf.
Interview at College next week to be a lecturer
No, I has not gone and back tracked on my words!0
