5 for today to add to yesterday's:
A cooler evening and a nice early evening stroll was enjoyed
The wonders of New Zealand - have just been watching on TV; stunning images and fascinating creatures; the world is a wonderful place if we'll let it be.
Cake! Shouldn't have had it but it was nice - and why was it invented if not for eating?:D
Doggy cuddles - our little fella is getting on a bit but the temperature dropping did wonders for him today and he's been a happy, playful little chap this evening.
Snuggling into bed for an early night - hopefully for another good nights sleep.

( I feel I may go and buy Percy Pigs tomorrow - I have a real craving for them now!;))

Coffee grounds all the way here, Ampersand. I get a massive bin liner full each week from the cafe in Dunelm.

    Quick pleasures for today:

    1) A lie in!

    2) A trip to town to see a friend I don't get to meet very often.

    3) Turned round and went to other town for a cup of tea with my school friend! (Got another bag of coffee grounds).

    4) Popped in to Homebase where there was a big sale on. Got 6 herbs for £2 that have perked up tremendously after being repotted and watered. Was a lemon balm in that lot, which I had not got. Also a new "bulkhead" light for the porch, after the glass on mine got broken...oooo, 10 years ago!

    5) Bought a new kitchen bin so it was a pleasure to throw my existing kitchen bin into the dustbin, complete with contents! That saved cleaning it.

    6) Went to see the hens and was glad I hit the shed with the hoe as there was a lot of scratching and a rat ran away. :-/ There are 2 blocks of poison outside but I shall put a fen trap there tomorrow. Hens all well and I cleared out their nest box etc.

    7) Healthy eating is going well so back down from 13 stones 1 to 12 stones 10 (again). 12 stones 9 is the lowest I have been over the last 4 years so looking forward to breaking that record. Would be nice to be about 12 stones 0 before going back to work.

    8) Second coat of paint on half of the kitchen. I can only do part of it because I have to push the fridge, cooker etc to the other side. Should finish the lot before the end of tomorrow.

    9) In bed now with 1hwb and will put Clue back on. Went to sleep yesterday so did not hear much of it.

    Hi Yvieblue!

    * Did not succumb to a carry out pizza craving but made dinner with things I had. Pats self on back.

    * Freezer storage containers arrived. I found them online (a good brand) for 1/2 of what I would have paid at Walmart. Win!

    * Better day today. Started off rough but improved as the day has gone on. :)

    * New chocolate bar started. I break off little pieces as I walk by and it will last almost a week. Did my nose just grow longer?

    * Clouds covering the sky and thunder heard. No rain but clouds help cool things off. :D

    * Gorgeous bluejays parading up and down the fence. There are two pairs this year and they all hangout together.

    p.s. How's Jenny?
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Wildlife - five lions yesterday (albeit in the distance), giraffe, 16 elephants crossing the road in front of us, a mother and baby rhino coming to drink right by where we were parked, the funny warthogs, zebra, buffalo...... Got our big five except the very elusive leopard. Hippos and crocs today, I hope
Scenery - mountains, beyond mountains beyond mountains
Food - such a variety, Mozambique fried chicken yesterday, seafood platter a few days ago
    People, so friendly.
    Wine, cheap and delicious

Regrettably not weather - we are 25 degrees south so the weather should be about the same as the canaries in winter, but there is a rare cold front going through and it's a bit cooler and wetter than it should be....
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Oh yeah, you want to read this!
Wow. VJsMam chasing big Pu55y on safari!

5 Jenny after her retune and reboots over the last few weeks is performing as normal. BoP continues life testing. Note to readers. The number of pills BoP is on means he will live forever.

4 Dumped BoPsie at her mill. Dumped the motor of BoP at garage. Bo.p is inn town. I nose, early?

3 Breakfast is served. Not often does BoP join the nomads and scoffs out! Well, I had to see how you lot live your rich lives. Snorker, best back, griddles egg and toast. Tum can be rubbed.

2 MoT live. Myrtle has passed. There you go!

I feel more distant from this thing than ever before!

Last day in Scotland before the epic journey back home. Looking forward to getting home...not really the bit in between .

Yesterday was a day of more catch ups, more hugs, more love and a few wet eyes.

Had a nice lunch and our nephew kindly paid. So much hilarity.

Today we are going to kelpies , which we are looking forward to.

    Catch up when I can

    3) had a tummy bug which makes me grateful normally I have a caste iron digestion
    4) super church service Sunday. 3 bishops, Brechin, Swaziland and Iowa who had spent a fab 10 days in the diocese with young (18-30) year olds from each diocese
    5) lunch with gbf. He wanted to use publisher so came into work to use one of the hot desks then we went to the botanics.
Love to all. Work very busy as we once again find ourselves a lecturer down. But my first cohort (178) had an 85% pass rate with no rise in resubmission rates so very happy.

    Pleasures for today,

Woke up to rain although it was still warm, garden needed it..

Went into horsey town to visit the library, come home with four books including a M C Beaton as have enjoyed the latest Agatha Raisin series.

Captain S treated me to lunch out - & the ding dong in Kennett, very enjoyable, had prawn and crab gratin which was delicious.

Listening to my dear old thing and Swanny being interviewed on R2, very tempted to catch the GBSO tour in the autumn, perhaps Norwich..

Lovely sunny evening, swing seat now perfectly positioned to catch the late sun, read out there for a while and enjoyed just being.
