A collection:
Video of our Boo, who is now officially registered to race as Angrove Mumsbuns, on FB being ridden for the first time, so calm and willing. Went round beautifully left and right handed.
Unlike her half brother who had a thing about going left, I think it was. Either way it meant that there were a lot of racecourses he wouldn't run at.
In the event he never ran much anyway, didn't like racing.
I've made my own instant porridge with some success, something else to use up the kilo of whey protein I was sent to review. Blitzed the oats and whey powder in the food processor until it was as fine as it could be.
Nice goodies in post. Passed on a pile of stuff to D Son IL and DGC, DD being at work.
Friend's son has just graduated, went for his dream job at his very first interview and got it. He thought the job had gone to another candidate who seemed to tick all the boxes.
That happened to me once at an interview for a local college as a learning adviser, but it turned out that I had what they really wanted which was familiarity with the huge matrix of online resources they used.
I could do the job with no extra training which the candidate in our group who was acting like she already had the job couldn't.
Thank you for yours.

Purple Kitten and Skint!!!! Thank you so much for the Agatha Raisin info. I've read the books and now I've found the series on YouTube Sky. I'm thrilled!
* snuggly dog
* DH loved the red meat enchiladas. Heaped praise.
* great Amazon Prime day sales and I've started my Christmas shopping. Bought a wooden kitchen for preschool sized child...DGD >>>>at 45% off!! Stoked!! Yesterday when at annual ENT Doctor visit in Texas, I was able to buy expensive King sized sheets for 85% off! I could have never afforded these for DD1. They are beautiful.
* talked to 4 of our kids today and one yesterday. Great reports from all.
* DD2 found a beautiful dresser and a coffee table for 70% off. She was over the moon. She had neither and is putting her first apartment together so these are big space fillers. :T:j Plus she loved them!
* dried some spearmint for my iced tea and it is wonderful! Add lemon and sweetener. Today was 109F  so we need cold drinks to stay hydrated.
*Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Good morning, it's Thursday here, have came back to bed absolutely frozen, having been sat wrapped in a blanket on the sofa , making phone calls to UK. Fingers and toes are soo cold!
Anyway , Wednesday passed by fairly uneventfully. Exciting news has came to fruition....more about that next week.
Made a delicious lasagne , one for us and one for the freezer. Trying to bulk cook for when we need it.
Had a nice but breezy walk with Haggis.
Started our Very M-early advent as we are having christmas next month. Have decorated my mantlepiece with candles and a few decorations , the advent calendar is a string of different sized and numbered bags that are strung along above the fireplace.
Santa mugs are on top of the coffee machine and more decorations will be added as the weeks go on.
We saw GP , who's reaction was a typical Australian swear word response ! We agreed!
Today is our only appointment free day this week and I really ought to get my @rse in gear and get organised. Back at work in 2 days ...boo hiss.
I need to traipse around the shops I left begging letters at for PTA event.

Have a nice night0 -
Good Wishes to you all on a sunny morning here.
Yesterday's pleasures:
1. English strawberries from the allotment, so sweet and fresh.
2. Taking off more honey, this was a very dark honey, totally different from the honey from our first hive. Odd how every hives honey is so different.
3. Choir last night. One of our older members was 90He brought a cake he'd made and a glass of wine for everyone, and he played the flute for us after the interval. Such a frie ndly, cheerful talented man.
4. Singing last night - chased the blues away.
5. MrC brought me two tiny roses in ceramic pots from Morr***ns after calling for there for petrol. They are very pretty, were very inexpensive, will last indoors for ages and later this year I will plant them outside in pots to enjoy next year too, all being well.0 -
Hi,
Just in from parents evening at school, it's blooming freezing out there.
I've just remember I need to make up my bed ...before I can get in it tonight!
Ticked every thing off my list today , apart from plant up primroses at front porch...there's always tomorrow.
So this morning I set off to go around all the local shops and businesses re raffle prizes for school fundraiser....except it seems someone had been round before me! By the third time I was told someone else had already collected I gave up! So it seems a very enthusiastic staff member had been round after I'd been in a couple of weeks ago and had picked stuff up . She hadnt been asked to, she just decided to. I looked increasingly foolish . Went into school with the things I did get and saw the list of places she had been ...just as well I gave up as she'd been in all those other places! Anyway, it's all for the benefit of the school but I don't like looking daft!
Made potato and leek soup with some crispy bacon bits, soda bread and an upside down pear cake for pud.
OH was given 2 portions of tiramisu today. Had a bit of one.
Was having an odd snoozette when phone rang, it was someone from hospital so I had to wake up suddenly and sound more alert than I actually was.
Right , I'd better go and make my bed as I really need to climb in!
Have a great day0 -
