This is just perfect and captures everything I would like to say.
All the emotions you are going through and you still managed to find pleasures.
Sending our hugs across the pond, I know it doesn't cut it but know your online friends here are here.0 -
Not wanting to bring the mood of the thread down so will try and find some pleasures for today, we were given a diagnosis of terminal cancer today . Kind of what we were expecting but bloody hard to hear.
Met some wonderful people today. Much kindness shown.
Home to our house . Fabulous being away but lovely to be home.
Made lentil soup for lunch.
Lovely lasagne bubbling away in the oven and veggies steaming. Smells lovely.
Lovely ,but sad, chat with friend in Sydney.
Lovely phone chat to Alix from the Palliative Care Team that will support us.
As always onwards ...and maybe just onwards at the moment

Oh Mhags. You have all fought so hard, as Ampersand said - practically useless but full of love and light hugs sent virtually...
I will list pleasures, in the hope of a smile being raised.
Since Saturday
1. gardening on Sunday- looking much better.
2. Lovely leg of lamb and a glass of wine cooked by OH (lamb, not wine)
3. Had to go to friend's mums funeral on Monday - that isn't the pleasure, obviously. It was a lovely service for a much loved lady. The pleasure was seeing old friends again.
4. A quiet moment for reflection in the garden of remembrance. Mum's funeral was there, so my thoughts were with her.
(Not doing much to raise that smile, am i?)
5. DD is home - crazy, messy, scatty, lovely DD, for the whole summer. ALthough she will be in ice cream town for a few weeks of it working to pay off her overdraft....
Have a lovely day allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

Dearest Mhags, prayers for strength and courage for you, your precious DH and of course your children as you all face the coming days ahead. Such a horrible diagnosis for you to be told... I'm really truly sorry.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

BoP I do boil the water in my electric tea kettle. This is correct tea making procedure?
* plumbing saga continues as the washing machine drain overflowed last night but the plumber, bless him, showed up first thing this morning. More floor to be destroyed in order to replace this old drain. Now it's the laundryroom and the bedroom but the plumber said it needs to go all the way to the bathroom toilet.
* everything on site to make chicken tacos for dinner
* grandmutts we are keeping for DD2 are being so good. They are both rescue dogs and have wonderful sweet personalities. DD2 has to travel this week so we have hound dog duty. Our old silky tolerates these two, just barely. He feels like he has to constantly patrol their behavior>> in between his naps.
* :j the 1lb gained over weekend was gone this morning
* it's wonderful when company come, it's wonderful when they leave. I'm parked on the couch in front of the TV with my ice tea. No other plans!Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Wednesday:
1. Got loads of work done today so now can enjoy the football and a cheeky beer tonight
2. Plans for a bit of pamper in the shower once I've caught up on posts - face mask, hair treatment, nails polish and anything else I can think of
3. Got the last few learning activities of one of my MA modules completed - just the essay to go!
4. Hug from Mum
5. A nice 30 mins of peace and procrastination0 -
I suppose you're all waiting for BoP to say it.
Flocking Bowl Hocks!
There, I know you all wanted to say it, but we can only live to our best. Sometimes our best is not good enough!
:heartpuls from Jenny, who is due some test shortly!0
