Enough of all that. Jenny goes into overdrive! :heartpuls
Fund raising, gossips and giggles. Blue cheese buns, whatever happened to the toasted sandwich maker? Dark chocolates! And rugby. Get Inn!
5 Raffles subjected BoPsie to torment yesterday, with his butter melting eyes. Yes, BoPsie fell for his charms and gave him extra meats and treats. Just all he has to do is wince at her and his bowls are refilled! This morning, he was well after her buttered toast! Now, as we have for the last few weekends had double snorker fests. Again with fresh field mushrooms, toms. Slightly overbored with the sage on the star cut grilled tomato this morning, but the hen layed poached egg was perfect! Jam on hot buttered toast and tea was also wolfed down. Rubs Tum. Fress concentrate of lemons and spring fresh tapped water of BoP was also sipped!
4 Coming soon for tea, Fish, Chips and Peas. Bat On Carrots! delight of Angel, chocolate variety will also be wolfed down. Last night we had a snoggle inn watching I cannot remember. We were going to watch Lassie, you know, the one about the dog! But it is a tad tooooo much for BoPsie, she was near tears just looking at the titles! Oh well, in the box! Sticky Chickens were also consumed. Tad hot this week, thinks I overdosed on the chilli. Lovely!
3 Was watching the cricket yesterday! On box of ogle. Good job I recorded some of ite and having a wave to Frith! There done!
2 Just over a week until the kink in BoP's :LAD gets sorted out. Hopefully it is straight in and out! Rule of BoP No. 1 applies. It will hurt them more than it hurts me! And last time they tried to toss BoP off the trolley! Poor nurse get it full on. Lesson learned! The nurse was ok and took it like BoP would had done!
You cannot answer back to yourself0 -

MHags (((hugs))) to you and your family
My pleasures for today

3. Afternoon drinkies with MIL.
4. Apology from ds2 after outburst last night.
5. Roast beef dinner - yummy.0 -
Pleasures for today:
1) A lie in!!
2) Cleaned the living room.
3) Listened to the Archers for the first time in... a year?
4) Went to Sainsburys.
5) Went to see Dad for Father's Day. All siblings there, cards, presents etc. Mum not so hostile as in recent months. Then I returned home to 6 phone calls and a very aggressive text because I hadn't taken her to a nursery this afternoon (?) It was a "round robin" text at how "VERY DISAPPOINTED" she is in the 4 of us. So that was nice. Funny though in that Dad does not have a mobile phone so she would have to show him his message on her phone!
6) Sons came home and we checked the hens. 1 egg today.
7) Talked to my school friend on the phone.0 -
* It's Father's Day here in the US. I'm so thankful for my husband being such a loving supportive father to both his and my children. We are a blended family of three boys and three girls and everyone is grown and gone (save one-Aspergers). They all adore him! My youngest was just a few months past two when we married. He took the entire bunch on and did a beautiful job of being father. Love that hunk of a man!
* Celebrated at a new (to us) Mexican food restaurant in the next town. The outside was a dive in a questionable part of town. We went inside to a clean, friendly, basic place to eat. It food was out of this world! I have not had chile rellenos that good in a long long time!
* As we were driving back through town, we saw a man holding up a sign advertising a going out of business sale. We decided to look and I got 50% off lots and lots of shirts and shorts. Excited! :j
* Youngest daughter spoke today at a church service for 800 kids at the private school that employs her. This is my shyest child who wouldn't talk to anyone when she was little. Beaming mama here!!
* I don't have to cook dinner as we ordered carry out at the restaurant. Hubbies idea and well, I just couldn't say no could I......it being Father's Day and all.
* Cloudy most of the day. A wonderful break from the heat!Overprepare, then go with the flow.

MHags - I'm sorry that things are difficult for you at the moment x x
Yesterday's pleasures:-
1. The overgrown herb beds on the allotment are slowly looking cultivated again; three down, two to go.
2. I harvested lots of variegated sage, and took loads of cuttings before digging the old bushes out, gorgeous scent.
3. My children's support at a tricky time.
4. A huge bag of gifted wool from my sister who's moved abroad. Beautiful wool and glorious colours, sorted it yesterday and already have a jumper on the needles.
5. The act of knitting, it still amazes me that lengths of wool a be used to create beautiful things. Well, apart from socks that is. I do not make socks.0 -
Good morning all,
The start of a new week and new pleasures
mhagster - Sorry to hear your news. Waiting is the worst, I'm in the same boat just now.
milasavesmoney - I saw that subtle comment of the heat you've been having. Maybe we can swap and you can live in miserable Glasgow where the sun rarely shines???
1 - Podcasts. My favourite podcasts always get me in a good mood before going into work.
2 - Football. Love, love, LOVE having up to 3 football games a day. Wish it never ends.
3 - My Mum. Spend most of the weekend in her company. What a wonderful woman she is.
4 - My car. (touch wood), it hasn't cost me much in repairs lately and long may that continue.
5 - Coffee. There was a day a few years ago when I hated coffee. Terribly bitter and boiling hot. I had a friend who used to work at Starburks and at his interview the manager said, "do you like coffee?" and my friend replied, "no, can't stand it" and the managers reply was, "oh, you soon will" and that was his way of offering him the job. He soon loved it. Tasting a little bit each day he was in work. By the time he left and became a colleague of mine he was addicted and persuaded me to be more persistent with it. Look at me now.
Have a nice day everyone.0 -
A day of tears for me . Think I sobbed my way through most of it....walk to train , cried. Break at work , could feel tears so went back into kitchen, peeling spuds, tears, making brownies, tears, walking for train home, tears, walking hime, tears. I think too much. I project too much. I plan ahead for all eventualities too much. Always have done.
In between that there were pleasures to be found.
Early morning chat to friend from home.
Free train to work as I was starting at 7am. Got a forward facing seat.
Had a bacon butty on lovely white bread .
Spent most of shift hidden away in kitchen. Normally I love being out the front but was happy to be kept busy out of sight.
Nice chat with one of my customers at end of shift, he's just had his last radiotherapy, been doing cancer same length of time as us. Hadn't seen him for a while, so glad to see him. We agreed it was all rather !!!! but to keep on smiling
Train home and a set of 4 seats to myself.
Popped up to school to hand in hampers. Staff member being a bit indiscreet about someone else on PTA....she was very rude to staff member on Friday .I don't like her much either
Tea is a mixed bag...OH and DS having steak, mash and veg. I'm having lasagne from freezer with mash and veg and I think what the girls are having is pasta from freezer...I think that's what it is!
Right, I'd better go and get on. Have a great day0 -
The words you are looking for are on pages 3, 16 and 39. Otherwise here's another one from Jenny :heartpuls
5 Last night played BoPsie at Scrabble. I am afraid it was completely one sided this time and again BoPsie remains only one win away from the chance of going for two on the trot. Cocoa, proper red can variety, was slurped as well. Rubs Tum. Then watched the Frogs! Ball bursting and shirts! You never!
4 Just dropped BoPsie off at work, and it is a good job as well, as tree decided to block their entrance this morning. I think they are all drinking tea though wandering about what to do. Our car is outside safe!
3 Got the wobbleales inn for the big match tonight. Cheese, nuts and wotsits. Ready. Not long now before we are out on penalties again. No, this time is ours!
2 Morrow we is off up north again to bid farewell to BoPsie GodFather.
