    Quick pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Work OKish.

    3) Went to my old sixth form college! Bigger son was grumpy throughout including telling the nice physics teacher, "Oh, I've no idea what I want to do. SHE made me come here". Weirdly, he was enthusiastic as soon as we left! Trouble is, it doesn't offer an A level in Product Design, whereas his school does. (He really wants an A level in what we would call metalwork or woodwork, or even resistant materials). If he decided on 3 sciences (or at least not Product Design!), think it would be great.

Realised it doesn't offer A level Home Economics any more either, so no good for smaller son! But does offer level 3 Food and Nutrition. Is that 2 A levels worth? Who knows.

    4) McDs for tea (bribery).

    5) Stopped at the park in a nearby village on the way home. It's always been well cared for but now has a complete new set of playground equipment and adult size keep fit stuff! After testing all that out, we went on the path through the woods to the football field at the back. Bigger son tripped in a hole and 2 walkers coming the other way asked if he was OK. He said yes then disappeared up to his knee in a badger sett!

    6) Hens were OK and 2 eggs today.

Just re-read other posts thoroughly and DD - exciting times!

Well, good afternoon from hospital, DD1 is currently being operated on and I'm just waiting on the call from surgeon to say all went well. But of a whirlwind day, problem cropped up on Wednesday, bit worse yesterday and absolutely needing dealt with this morning. Saw GP first thing and sent to this hospital ....do you have private health insurance (HI) ? Yes!

So we took a taxi over here , had to pay $280 straight away to be seen at emergency ( it's a private hospital) then handed over health insurance card, DD2 wheeched round to a bay and all very super efficient!

Then admin guy comes round and says HI say we are not covered , policy has not been valid for 12 months ( policy has been valid for 11.5 months) and does not cover pre existing conditions. This is not a PE condition, it's an acute emergency condition....I was irately straight on phone and whilst I appreciate they are just doing their job I'm trying to do mine as a mum!
So, HI would email me a form to get filled in and emailed back to say that it was not a PE condition. Meanwhile ....I had to pay $2080.00 upfront! This isn't even surgery fees! Luckily OH was paid yesterday and there's money in account. So doctor filled out form, it's been emailed to HI and I'm hoping that it gets sorted out pronto! And I get a refund ASAP. Honestly the system out here is truly awful!

Everyone we have seen here so far have been lovely, DD had some horrible reaction and lost consciousness for a few moments and crash team were just coming through curtains as she came to. Horrible....she just felt like she'd had a weird sleep!

OH is on a flight back from Perth , so he's up in the air for 5.5 hours then has to go home first then out here.

I've had a sandwich and a few texts back and forth with OH as he was boarding flight....he's sat next to someone carrying a crystal ball!

    Will update later....just venting slightly!!

ETA : now back on ward and snoozing , had a wee chat and back to sleep. I shall just sit quietly at bedside...I'm good at it, had plenty practise.

Have a lovely Friday one and all.

    Hope all OK, MHags.

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Last day at work for a week!

    3) Sunny day.

    4) Sons' old passports came in the post which has cheered us that perhaps they are working on sending us the new ones...

    5) 2 egg day from the hens.

    6) Sons went to games night with my brother and brother in law.

    7) Had a chat with my parents after dropping sons off. Mum is having first cataract done soon and booked in for corneal transplant in August.

    8) I put the second coat of gloss paint on the front door frame. Bigger son can nail the draught proofing strips back on over the weekend.

    9) Had notification that Autism West Midlands is running another summer holiday trip! We went in 2014 and it was marvellous. Don't know when they will be open (Tuesday?) to put our names forward.

    10) Funny to see people we knew on BBC Midlands Today including the lady who is picking mum up (mum now partially sighted until August) to drive her to Eastham church on Sunday so she (mum) can play the organ! And the MP pontificating as though she can magic the bridge back up from the bottom of the river.

    11) Watched Gogglebox and have HIGNFY and the News Quiz to listen to in bed. (2 hwb).

    12) 2 lbs lost this week.

Some pleasures for the last few days,

Started a mini five day break from work on Thursday so went out for lunch with CS to celebrate. We went to a pub in BuryStEd and had a lovely meal in their courtyard garden.

Dropped my watch in for a service and had general mooch around the town, saw a possible dress for my eldest niece's wedding In August. I don't like showing my legs off at all but this is a maxi dress so won't have to!

Messages throughout the day from youngest hollow-legged SS who was doing some re-takes, he seemed pleased on the whole and doesn't have anymore now until middle of June. He has a place at Uni for September but wanted to improve his grades.

Went into a well known DIY shop yesterday for couple of hooks for hanging baskets and come out with a lampshade and a standard lamp :T We have been looking for ages for one to put in the lounge, got it reduced by £60 so very pleased.

Also, finally took the 5 minutes necessary to change our electricity supplier and am due to save £150 a year :money:

Gogglebox with wine and a small amount of my Easter choc that had sat in the cupboard for last eight weeks.

That makes BoP 1/4" puncture wound on the arm look ... Jenny pushes a :heartpuls to down under.
LT. Chocolate wool not last eight hours with BoPsie around the pad!

5 Yes, ripped theplaster off last evening, and all that stickiness. Washed up the remnants of the iodine infused fake tan. Lovely puncture where the wires went inn. No hairs were removed when the plaster was removed!

4 Breakfast this morning BoP had hot buttered toast, topped with two poached eggs. Snorker, best back, and two star cut toms topped with sage and pepper. Washed down with tea. Rubs Tum. Saturday tea of hit sticky chicken is brewing on the side. Rubs Tum.

3 BoPsie is cleaning the refrigerator this morning. It will soon be filled with ades of wobble, enough for most of us, including DD's share as well!

2 Night we has a classic recording. Railway Children. Pretty chuffed about that!

And at last, we can see tomorrow!

Edit. Excellent news. Emporium T has wrote to us, thanking us for shopping with them and voucher has arrived! We will use the voucher as a fire lighter! All £0.00 of it! Good, not much of our monies has greased their filthy pockets. And all we have to do is collect six more points to get a voucher. That'll be August blank holiday sorted!

Edit of Edits. More excellent news. Just checked that my tariff with board of electricity and gas was the best, and after only changing it seven days ago to the best tariff, I find out they have a better than that offer. It has duly been claimed. More wobbleade pennies inn pocket of BoP. Cheers!:beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:

Another edit! Just checked at ur stitched website and they offer me no alternatives. BoP is on the cheapest tarrif. Wobbleades are flowing. Now hope the wickets come the same way.
