Pleasures for Wednesday .one of which is its Wednesday , woke up and thought it was Thursday( so back to work on Friday ) so when I realised I still had an extra day , I was happy!)

With trepidation my hoover and I ventured upstairs to the rooms of doom.

Eyebrows waxed by nice beautician ( one is slightly judgemental !.....do I judge her on her orange skin from too many fake tans..?) also got 10% off.

Whilst walking over, 2 beautiful rainbow lorikeets flew right past me. They are stunning.

Made chicken and veg pie for tea and a big tray of brownies.

Just generally pottered around, keeping an eye on DD1, picked up DD2.
Cuddled my dog, had a snoozette . Actually went and lay down on bed.

    Watching Australian Masterchef,

It's officially our first day of winter, certainly felt like it! Brrrr.

    Have a lovely day
  • 5 Ripped open a new box of Golden Flakes this morning, and lashed it with ice cold milk. Tea was drunk as well as concentrated orange juice and water, just like it is when it comes out of the carton, but the water comes out of the tap! Rubs Tum. As there is very little jam left, no toast was burnt during breakfast.

4 Elevenses, a mug of loose leaf tea with cakes of Jaffa. Rubs Tum. And later, the second of this weeks individual jellies with fresh chopped oranges will be addressed! Rubs Tum

3 Just checking the real time train timetable for the sake of it, may go out and get a snap of the flask, but not running today. Oh well!

2 Night is another blast on the T20 cricket. Slogging it with BoPsie on the sofa! Last night, after putting BoP inn quarantine for wind, she decided to upend her drink of proper cocoa all over the plaice! Raffles was unharmed in the process. Other items were covered. BoPsie has recovered. No foam drinks were taken.

Ms Monroe would had been 90!

    1. It was beautiful bank holiday weather which always helps when away in the van.:D
    2. I look healthy from it, always handy.:)
    3. Greeted by people we knew from steam fair it was a nice social time.:)
    4. We ate “junk” but enjoyed it.:o
    5. B12 injection today should also add a bit more perk to me.:)

It has been a hard May, 3 of our animals have passed away from different causes, with the latest heartbreak last night.
That’s why I am glad I am at least looking healthy because I am feeling absolutely miserable, and I am terrible at putting up a fake front which isn’t helpful. :(

evening all - back home again... :( s'colder and cloudier here than glorious Wales

DD - yep, can hardly believe it myself. LIFE CHANGING magic indeed. To think it started with tidying my sock draw :D
Mhags - I do the "enforced jollity" thing too. Especially with the (rather negative) MiL :p

Frith - glad you are getting the good weather too. I don't think the rest of the country believes us
BoP - mmm golden flakes with ice cold milk. Blue variety I hope. I used to put cream on mine when i ate such things - and loads of sugar :o
PK - Sorry for your sad losses.

    Pleasures for yesterday and today.

    1. Glorious sunshine.
    2. Getting the next stage of thesis into some kind of logical order. Loving this bit of the process....
    3. Walk along the beach to Aberdovey - half in the Brit, half in the Penhelig , and lunch. Got a bit sunburned. :o Train back
    4. Cooked chicken curry for me and DS. He is much nicer away from our (main) house.
    5. DS did the hoovering
    6. Soak in the bath with the first episode of hollow crown from this series (not all of it in the bath - it's 2 hours long :rotfl:)
    7. Walk by the sea - glorious
    8. Bought some chalk paint for the next round of furniture painting. Want to go back to ICT to do some garden painting there. Hopefully will in a week
    9. Saw the Osprey nest from the train.
    10. Home and lasagne from the freezer (left over from last week and frozen). Dinner on table within 10 mins.

About to have a lovely cuppa.

    Night all

Edit - seemed to have use the word 'glorious' alot.... :D

2 familiar pub names there, VJsmum! Haven't been to Aberdyfi or ice cream town for over a year.

    Pleasures for today (Wednesday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Went to see the hens - 2 eggs today.

    3) Sons have gone to their father's (booo) but are going to Weston tomorrow.

    4) Went to local shopping centre this afternoon for hair cut. Am growing it from 1 inch spikes into something else but still need the neck and fringe cutting while the rest catches up. Also had eyebrows threaded (bit too thin for my liking now). A trip to TKMaxx got me a new duvet cover (am under it now) which is very posh and a copy of Leon (the cookbook). Had lunch in M and S caf!.

    5) Have escaped all rain today so have washed sheets and dried on the line (has been grey and overcast).

    6) Have been tidying up half heartedly.

    7) Made a date and walnut cake whilst watching Springwatch.

    8) In bed and about to catch up on episodes of Holby City.

A rather lazy day , bit headachy , bit of 4th day off a week is one too many.
However back to work tomorrow ( will be moaning about work soon enough I'm sure! )

Ordered flowers for friend back home from Wild and Bloom, I have a 10% off order code for next 7 days if anyone else would like it? You must use in next week but flowers can be ordered a year in advance.

Had to pop out briefly , had to go to pharmacy, take library book back and buy a jam doughnut or two..for me and my boy!

Had to pick up DD2 at school. Got a lift home arranged for her tomorrow , saves me doing a mad dash after work.

Took bags of stuff over to Salvos.

Tidied back porch, got son to deal with 2 small side tables that were rather cobwebby. They've gone from porch and will go to salvos. Swept up leaves and watered plants.

    Making spag Bol for tea.

    Have a great day :)
  • Hello everyone, just back from a few days away visiting the girls and the Zebra child then on to Somerset for the Bath and West show, very nice too!

    1) That Zebra charging across the lawn to me shouting 'My, my, my, my Oma' with his little arms stretched out for a cuddle, those moments are beyond price!

    2) Lovely day at the show yesterday, many beautiful livestocks particularly the heavy horses, lots to see, lots to do, a day worth having.

    3) Good run back today, no hold ups and all roads flowing smoothly.

    4) Polytunnel and gardens all OK!

    5) My bed for a decent sleep tonight, hotels are fine but home is FINER!
  • Oh dear, BoP has bin gagged! Probably too much sense! May have to kill off BoP!

    5 Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

4 Bin to the quack, tablets ordered, crazy, got note for my money! Test for Jenny booked for next Friday. Could be interesting!

3 On the way home, after getting some feast for lunch, Raffles was waiting at the end of the road. Crazy Cat! You cannot own them. Just now done his tea and he has nose turned it. Well, as was explained earlier, but no longer available. Like it or lump it. Tuff!

2 Nite I am going to toss off, some pancakes. They will be covered in sugar and cocoa. Go on, you never tried covering pancakes, tossed inn pan, with cocoa, and now you'll just want to try. Cream ice of Viennetta , and chopped oranges will also be tossed on top!

BoP, is living on the edge of
