    Evening all

Well, I am finally home! Long day today packing up the caravan then driving to Bristol to visit family then 5 hours to get home!!!!

    Anyway, mine for today

1 Our lottery syndicate got 5 numbers!! :T So dh said I can have my nails and hair done and whats left to go off credit cards.

2 Sunday lunch at mil - lovely! :D

3 Visited my parents. It was nice to see them again but just reminded me why we dont visit. The house is such a mess and so dirty (sets off my asthma with all the dust and dog/cat hair). I nearly went out to the car for my bottle of stardrops!!! :p

4 Packed lunch in the car on the way home to save on stopping and burger king prices.

5 I am now sitting down (unpacking can wait until tomorrow) with a glass of wine catching up on a weeks worth of eastenders.
  • Evening all and hugs all round

Welcome home nuttybabe, you sound like you've had a great time in the caravan this time :)

    Mine for today/yesterday :)

    1. The sunshine!

    2. DD and I had a fabulous time at not one, but 2, R*ald Dahhl museums yesterday, they were well worth the entry fees for us, as we really enjoyed the exhibits, especially at the council run museum we went to first.

    3. DD was really helpful after grrr-ness of me falling over on a wet path in Aylesbury shopping centre, of course I didn't see it was wet until I was falling flat on my face and hurting my s*dding back for the day, grrr. She told the friendly security guards who came to make sure I was okay that she's going to be a doctor when she grows up, bless her.

    4. We had a lovely picnic in a field on the way between the 2 museums, complete with strawberries we bought in the market as we were passing by.

    5. DD and I went for a really fun swim this morning.

    6. My pa lent me his car as mine has already burned through nearly 3l oil in a week.......he's going to see if his mechanic can take a look and do a compression test of the engine or something :( Doesn't sound good.......but thanks daddy for lending me your car without me asking (in fact he checked the oil and told me what was going to happen).

    7. Loving watching programmes on my $ky+ machine, the novelty hasn't worn off yet, yippee!!

    8. Just opened my post - and found I've won £25 of L0ve to shop vouchers from G*ngerbread/0ne parent website for doing a survey :)

Well, my sons are staying with my sister. The last night they spent away from me was Feb 2009 (with my sister). I'm just realising how much they turn over and talk in their sleep, its really quiet.

    5 for today:

    1) Lovely weather.

    2) Was invited to look round by my new (ish) neighbour. Quite strange to be in another cottage almost identical but subtly different...

    3) Spent half the afternoon with my other neighbour who is splitting up with his wife (at least, I think he is).

    4) School friend came for tea.

    5) Boys went off with my sister and she's just texted me a photo of them fast asleep!

    6) I have painted one wall of the living room.

    7) About to go to bed and listen to the Archers on iplayer.

Not posted for a day or so, I know I have a lot to be thankful for but we lose sight of it sometimes...my dear Aussie friend in Beijing (the one who was diagnosed with Alzheimers a couple of months ago) has got prostate cancer and was rushed into hospital on Friday night. I just wish I could go to him.. Sorry to be a damp squib on such a positive board.

Anyway have a good week all, be thankful for the good things
    'night n God bless

Aw Sparrer (((((HUGS)))))) for you. hope sharing your sorrow has eased the pain a little bit. Of course you can tell us we're your friends and fine friends we'd be if we only ever wanted to hear about happy times.

I was just popping in to see the news but cannot go without sending Sparrer warm comforting thoughts and many warm wishes for her friend's health. I hope things will resolve for the best.

Sparrer please do not worry about "being a damp squib", the board is here for all of us in all our emotional states, we cannot be 100% positive all the time (otherwise we would all be living in California!). Seriously, thought, I hope you know that you are among loving friends here ((((((HUGS))))))
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Morning all! My 5 for yesterday:

    1. Unexpected phone call in the evening, summoning me to the pub! :D

    2. Good session in the gym. I've been going a bit easy on myself recently so decided to push myself a bit harder.

    3. Walking into town and back - it's about a 5 mile round trip, so some free extra exercise, and money-saving because I didn't take the car or the bus.

    4. Unleashing my inner domestic goddess again - making soup, hummus and chilli with plenty left over for the freezer. The chilli was delicious!

    5. Coming up with the plot for my next short story. This one will be a dark tale of obsession and revenge...will get the bones of the plot sorted today and tomorrow, then get down to writing.

(((Hugs))) to sparrer - thinking of you and your friend.
