    My pleasures for today

    1. Giggling about Frith's chicken going about his business in his new home.
    2. Drinking fresh coffee in bed brought by dh before he went to work, then shutting eyes & snoozing for another hour.
    3. Lovely sunshine & washing drying on line.
    4. Reasonable quote for carpet for 3 bedrooms and stairs.
    5. Good evening at college.
    6. Nice cup of hot milk before bed.

Good morning from Birmingham airport, we are hopefully going to jersey today to celebrate our silver wedding next week. Hopefully cos we are currently delayed

    Lol at Friths chicken

Pleasures for last couple of days

    1. Cleaner came. It's only a partial pleasure as, while its nice having a clean house, she is mugging me off big style and I think she might have to go
2 to escape the cleaner I went and had coffee with a friend
3 bought my first ever pair of DMs. They are beautiful - cherry red. Almost too beautiful to wear. The amount if walking I do don't half wear out my shoes, so hopefully these will help
4 out for a meal on Wednesday night to celebrate various birthdays (not mine)
    5 no hangover yesterday :T
6 took a different train company to London, longer but mor comfy
    7 nice walks yesterday
8 enjoyed the queen show last night

Ooh, got a go to gate.

    Laters

Edit false alarm, :( have a nasty feeling that we ain't going anywhere for a while...
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Have a lovely trip vis mum when you eventually set off.

Much rain has been so good for the gardens.

An hour of my life used up in Centrelink ( probably similar to DSS , if it's still called that!) wait, wait , wait some more. Anyway, got a cheque issued to DD2 refunded to our account, got some forms . Paid another cheque into bank, this was one from old school which no one has been to in 18minths but rewards from old uniform / book sale. Thank you!

    Books borrowed from library .

Haggis boy feeling better, been a bit out of sorts past couple of days...lets just say whatever was upsetting him has now passed!

Happy birthday to our lovely Queen.

    Have a great day :)
  • Only beginners! Now what happened on BoP and BoPsie's silver. :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls Enjoy your trip!

5 Bluster. Not got my cup this year. Selections were limited. Bu99er! Poor show by BoP! And I had to reset the projector as well last night, and shout the names. Phew. Hard work being BoP!
BoPsie though got a commendation again for her bloody flamingo thing. Guess I has to watch her head for a week or so! Mind you, I got her special cheese inn this morning and to cap it all. She walked off with the vino! Guess BoP's luck is inn. Pleasure 4-2 are assured!

4 Dumped BoPsie at work this morning, as she was feet sore, or big toe sore this morning. Would had kissed it, but you could grow tatties down that far! Please no telling BoPsie!

3 Just updating match list from last week. Should get a game I think. More later.

2 Night, as BoPsie has her winning wine and some special BoPsie cheese, we could have a games night. Please remember that BoPsie remains only one win away from the chance of two on the bounce at Scrabble!

Just went out to the supermarket to get some beans, but they've done a runner

Dd is back in the groove. Can't believe the last post was 8th April. Work has been manic! So without further ado congrats pk on job mhags on citizenship and sparrer on stone. I go to sw and I think it's fab. Hurry up mariners, come keep the hatters company. Also congrats to anyone I've missed out (was reading through while catching up on the horrible rob boooo) and hugs to all who need
So what have I been up to since 8th?
    1) back safely from sister's
    2) long weekend in Edinburgh with 100 others. Was totally fab (though heavy on the purse strings)
    3) terribly sad about Victoria wood, but yes bop the very clip I shared with dd2 and made us laugh (also discovered she's never seen brief encounter omg)
    4) 5 year review at work. Funny thing, I thought it went fabulously, 2 colleagues thought it was a disaster. The good new is we are approved for another 5 years. Also good news we have been given conditions I can work with, so developmental rather than young mr grace 'you're all doing very well'
    5) after 179 on first cohort have 204 on 2nd cohort.rather scary but also rather thrilling.
But I am absolutely cream crackered. Off to bed with large cuppa and fall asleep to last week's under cover. That and of course crying tears like purple rain

    Pleasures for today (Friday!)

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Work went OK - rather quiet.

    3) Quorn pies and veg for tea.

    4) Sons went off to role playing with my brother and brother in law and haven't long come home!

    5) While they were away, took washing to mum and dad's (my washing machine gave up this morning), went to the allotment, tidied up, did various jobs round the house.

    6) Watched Gogglebox.

Quite a busy weekend coming up. Smaller son has been invited to the cinema by a school friend (this is a rare event) and I am probably off to Hereford for a wander about. Hens are being collected on Sunday!

    1. Am officially old - DD is studying the 1980's in History at school...my teenage years!!

    2. Have loved the last 2 days being back at school - thank you letters, brochures to show next year's Year 4s what fun they will have and art, with a couple of no-marking maths lessons :)

    3. Can't wait to get my new reading glasses, have taken advantage of a MSE offer code to get 2 pairs for £52. I have a tendency to 'lose' glasses all over the place, so need as many pairs as I can afford!

    4. Finished off watching the film we started on Wednesday night.

    5. A bittersweet pleasure - DD didn't want to sleep in my bed last night as she said that we sleep better in our own beds (true!). Am enjoying being able to potter about at 3:30am but sad that I won't have cuddles when I properly wake up...my baby's growing up! Really glad I made the most of her whilst she did want to share my bed on a nightly basis :)
