The Ides isn't until the 15th BoP, you're quite safe until then. Unless you bump into a mad young hare...;)
Get in early, just to keep you all on your toes!

5 Just had home made cheese burger. No mess and no carp. Rubs Tum. And it was covered in toe nail style onions! Rubs Tume. Goes well with tea. And dirt cheap!
4 And we have enuff left over so we can have the same again on Saturday! That will be after the usual BoP snorker fest! You know it is good for you as well!
3 Nearly have the website ready. All go!
2 Night, there will be silence in BoP house as, PM2DD #UTM, watches the mighty mariners! Wobbleades have been secured in readiness! Cheers!
    Mad March, any hares?

Belated birthday wishes to Miss Mhags
Yay to Frith in the allotment news :j
So, so jealous of that warm weather VJsMum, safe journey home

    Some pleasures for today,

Cold out but we had a blue sky most of the day, only just clouding over now but still light :T

Went into Mr Sparks for some bits and pieces as had vouchers, chuffed with my YS haul, mostly meat for the freezer which is now full for the month.

Also picked DM a beautiful orchid for Sunday, she is one of the few people who seem to be able to keep them, or is it just me that manages to kill them..

My big dog loves her orthopaedic bed, she was a bit dubious at first as it sort of crackles when she gets on it but soon got over that. It's big enough that she can really stretch out but much more supportive for her older joints.

Lovely afternoon over the yard with my fella. He saw the vet in the week and she confirmed what I had already guessed that the steroid injections haven't really done much for the arthritis :( whilst he is more than happy to walk for a good while he is still really quite lame in trot. She suggests that it's the extra bone/cartlidge that is causing that rather than the inflammation round the joint and of course there is nothing to be done. He might get bit better when the warm weather comes so now it's just a case of keep reviewing, small amount of Bute each day to keep him pain free and see how we go. Guess we won't be troubling the selectors for the Olympic squad then!

Last but not least there is a bottle of something cold waiting for me in the fridge, hurrah for weekends.

    Evening all!

VJsmum - your holiday sounds like it's been fab!

1 - Dozed for another hour after alarm. Didn't need to be anywhere so it was nice to doze.
2 - Went for a nice long walk in the sunshine today. We've had a couple of nice days here but I believe it's going to change overnight.
3 - Got 2 modules done of a workbook that I have to complete. Found them quite interesting.
4 - Baked a chocolate chip banana bread today to use up some super ripe bananas. Will be trying that with a cup of tea shortly.
5 - Dinner at the table with my OH. We make a real effort to sit down and enjoy a meal together even though he is particularly busy at the moment.

    1. day off work :j
Was hoping "new to me" car would arrive today for test drive but still waiting :( however, spent a lovely day mooching round the local shops and chazzers :D

    2. lovely and sunny (blooming cold though)

    3. got DS a diary he needed for work after a search round the local shops... in the sale 39p ! Not bad for 10 months use left ;) Also picked up some cheap birthday cards for stash 59p each ... will save me money in long run as there will be no last minute buying cards from co-op near to home costing a fortune when I've remembered someone the night before their birthday :o

    4. then went to lunch with friend I haven't seen for ages. We went for a 2 for £8 and it was nice food and great to catch up with her

    5. made a beef steak mince chilli for tea and DS has taken some too to eat on night shift at work - he's said for ages that he doesn't like chilli which is a real pain as I do like chilli and its such a quick easy meal (I hate cooking !) so I will be really pleased if he decides he does like it now

Have a good weekend everyone x

Good morning from the weekend ....and bonus....a whole weekend off and another one next week to look forward to !

    My Friday pleasures included

Free train and a forward facing seat on the train! I'm having to start earlier now as I'm opening as the key holder .

Crazy morning at work and then very calm after 11am. I did the grocery shop and banking for work and then left at 2pm ...an hour early ! Fabulous!
I have a sense of satisfaction when I am home in my house before I would even be normally leaving work!

Soooooo hot, 37o .languished in the heat but we did have some stormy rain .

Tea provided by leftover party food.

Today I have podiatrist appointment in 45 minutes to strap up my feet in anticipation of my walk tomorrow . It's to be a bit cooler today at 26o .....I'm so over this heat . Another hot week ahead. Quite a few houseworky things to do that didn't get done as I'd so many appointments on my days off and honestly when it's so hot I absolutely cannot be jigged! A list has been made...let's see how much gets crossed off!

    Have a good weekend !

Vjsmum: Your holiday sounds warm and lovely.
Firth: Wonderful news re allotment find.

I’ve noticed I seem to be getting far more creative as I have my own time all be it hopefully temporarily at the moment. Today I dead headed and weeded the front garden, pleased to see the crocus’s and tulips all up. I’ve made a stencil to paint some garden pots, and just trying new things. I’m reading up on both Bach remedies as I was gifted a big box of them a while ago, and aromatherapy as the coconut oil is working well.

    1. Old bedding through wash, and hung out to dry, clean bedding and new duvet unravelled. Animal bedding cleaned.:)
    2. I now have summer ready hands and feet, clay face pack done and deep conditioned hair with coconut oil.:p
    3. I spent about 4 to 5 hours deep cleaning and tidying the house today and I have to say I am absolutely shattered now. The pleasure being the house looks better than it did, I had one of the animals following my every move bless him, he didn’t seem to get tired of helping.:)
    4. Dinner is a really nice big butcher type chop from Costco, marinated, and served with new pots and veg.
