    1. After a rubbish night's sleep (all the excitement of going back to school I reckon), I had a fab day - especially the parts where I role-played the key characters from Little Red Riding Hood! Grandma was Catherine Tate's Nan without the swearing; LRRH was my DD; and the wolf couldn't show his claws as he'd just had a manicure and his varnish was still wet :)

    2. My Thai vegan curry was a huge success for dinner, nomnom.

    3. Played one of my favourite board games with DD after dinner :) We worked out it's 34 years old, as it was bought for my bro when he was younger than Miss Kitty!

    4. Lovely chats with my former co-teacher on the book of faces; she's such a great support (and kicker up the bum when I'm putting off marking....which I'm still doing!)

    5. Had a lovely hot shower when I got in from school, and so am hoping that it will help me sleep better once I do the last few(ish) books!
  • 1. We spent time trying to re design the last bit of our bedroom an awkward bit under the built in wardrobe, the rest is redecorated DH wants to build the bits for under that bit before it can then be painted and the carpet down, I don’t want another part decorated room at the risk of sounding grumpy,;)

    2. Took everything out of the corner unit in the kitchen it’s one of those double layered swing round things, everything falls off, so did an inventory, as we are using up things, but we really do need to do a fresh shop now.

    3. Big prawn salad for lunch with a little amount of mayo admittedly, chucked a chilli together for dinner but it wasn’t nice. Sometimes I should be banned from the kitchen. Today was one of those days:rotfl:

    4. Just back from Mr T, only for camomile and lactofree, they had a couple of Belgium cakes snaffled for 10p, and they put their pet range on throw out, chicken bits reduced to 15p so snaffled 5 of them for the animals, I decided to find my voice and actively complain about a seriously surly checkout person.:( It's not like me to voice my opinions but I did.:o

ETA - glad you enjoyed Amsterdam, Bagpuss. We liked looking round a branch of HEMA opened in Birmingham New St station!

    Pleasures for today (Monday).

    1) A not bad day at work, besides one peevish email of complaint from a colleague. :-/

    2) Got a few jobs done round the house - hoovered then steamed floors downstairs, changed my bed etc.

    3) Went to Sainsburys.

    4) Currys phoned to say I would be refunded the money I paid to have my fridge freezer delivered on a certain day. Only fair as it was 24 hours late!

    5) Did my dad's car insurance for him and got it down from £191 to £114. He is on antibiotics now and will have bad teeth out next week.

    6) Sons quite happy tonight though smaller son had an altercation with someone and was kicked in the back of the knee. His knee buckled forward into a radiator (!) and has gone brown and yellow! So will have to mention that to someone tomorrow.

    7) In bed now with 1hwb and about to put the radio on.

    8) Oh, and much better today! Felt wobbly still until lunchtime but now really only have a bit of a sore throat.

    3) Really nice walk with Charlie Retriever and his Mumi and Cookie.

Some pleausures for the last couple of days,

Getting through my backed up emails and finding that I understood about 80% of what they were all about.

Managing to put my point across to an obtuse colleague who may as well have just handed me an egg and told me to get on and suck it! Might be new in that role but have been doing my job for over 30 years, have letters after my name and everyfink :rotfl:

Woke up at 1am this morning with coughing, realised that had forgotten to slap Vic on, did just that and slept right through to alarm.

Went for walk at lunchtime today and found nice bench by river, cold by sunny and gave me time away from office stresses, perfick.

My lovely lad calling across the yard when he realised it was my car tonight, gave him a good groom and loads of cuddles + an apple.

Driving out of the yard, a full, red moon rising in the evening sky, beautiful.

Congrats to Jenny for keeping BoP on fine form

    1. Looking out at the garden to see daffodils and crocuses in the sunshine, the shrubs in bud, everything so much greener after the grey of winter.
    2. A good session at exercise class this morning, core strength much improved since going to hypervibe.
    3. Shopping with DD and DGD, lots of ys's, bogofs and a very tasty three for two lunch.
    4. Unpacked the shopping, made a cuppa and had a lovely afternoon nap when I got home, woke feeling as though I could climb Everest but did a pile of hand washing instead
    5. Watched Holby to round off a relaxing day

    Sweet dreams :)

    Well done, Jenny.

    Pleasures for today (Tuesday)

    1) Not quite a long enough sleep!

    2) Work OK and had an hours admin today (the second this year!) Tried to do some of the coursework we have to do. We are supposed to have several hours free to complete each module. On module 3 now and have had 2 hours to do the lot :-/

    3) Went for a cup of tea with a school friend after work.

    4) House reasonably tidy.

    5) Wrote smaller son a stern letter to take to school after he was made to do contact rugby including being tackled on to his back several times. That'll do his kidneys good - the ones that had a "holiday" from working back in August. :-S He told them his back was hurting but couldn't explain why. Hopefully the letter will put a stop to having to do such a ridiculous sport as a spindly 12 year old.

    6) Watched Holby City and also a documentary with bigger son about a tribe in the Amazon making first contact.
