Jobs, the workers are changing theirs. Good luck to all new sweeps!
5 De clawed. BoP today has trimmed his claws, so please be patient if I is not as sharp as normal! You know you just want the hairs on your back to get a feel of the rough. BoPsie unfortunately found the toe nails in the bath! Stopped the bubble mess at least! Please note, it was not BoPsie's birthday!
4 Today BoP is currently having a dish of organges, but unlike last week where they were as sweet as the current BoPsie can be, this week they are like BoP. A taste that makes you want more and more!
3 Last eve, BoP watched the Uni Challenge and managed to out do BoPsie inn the answers. I know you lot of BoPettes will not offer congratulations, so I will blow my own trumpet! There!
2 Nigfht will be live games, more later. Please remember BoPsie is only one win away at Scrabble from the chance of winning two on the trot. Currently BoPsie leads at Backgammon!
Talent will give you the game, but teamwork wins the championship.
Edit
Seems emporium of t is desperate for my cash, Now offering £6 off a online shop. Only problem is they want £74 off me as well!0 -
Congratulations Lainey, fab news0

Damnation to the lost lengthy post..
Well done Lainie on your new job. When do you start?
An early start at work , slightly overstaffed but we finished up early.
Confused myself as I'm working different days than usual this week.
Just had some heavy rain after a day most warm and humid.
Nice day out yesterday, we took a drive down the peninsula , as it was Australia Day , it seemed so did a lot of people. Very busy.
A lovely baked potato with tuna mayo for tea last night and a roll and leftover tuna when I came in from work earlier.
Do have a good Wednesday0 -

Cards will be sent to those who ...
5 Too much wobbleade, not enough duvet! What can I say except hic!
4 Supper last night was cheesey bits, crumpets and marmite. You know, just what you wanted to have after all that jazz. Apologies, but BoPsie found a Monroe. And the jumper fits as well. Perhaps its was the film. And it was in colour as well.
3 Just been in town and saw ex mp. Seems cheerful now he does not have to go through us lot again. Good to see him smiling!
2 That reminds me, where did I put my X on that bscrap of paper last year, seems so long ago now.

For the past few days...
1. A good run up to Yorkshire, took a friend this time so the journey wasn't so tedious. No hold-ups on our side of the roads, felt (a little bit) sorry for the poor souls in a 20 mile tailback heading south.
2. Stayed with a dear friend in her gorgeously haunted (I shared my bedroom with Victor) 17th c village home with moorland views in every direction. A huge old kitchen with original flag stone flooring, windowsills 3 feet deep, original features in every room and a super table in the bathroom laden with amazing books of poems. Spent rather too long in there one morning! Unsurprisingly the house has been featured on several occasions so it was a great pleasure to be able to stay.
3. The Wedding, the main purpose for our visit. The bride wore a simple Victorian gown of white linen, her OH a deep red chiffon tunic and trousers. Simple but so romantic. There was an elegant afternoon tea for wedding invitees followed by a bigger evening gathering, with pie and peas served for supper. Interesting, not to my taste but the Yorkshire guests polished off plates of it.
4. Tootled home on Sunday afternoon, pleased to say the two long queues we saw were heading north this time. Lucky us. Stopped for a cuppa at a roadhouse in Lincolnshire, the sort that one seldom sees these days where the tea is good, hot and strong served in mugs, and the snacks are the size of dinner plates. I struggled to eat a bath bun, my friend who has a healthy appetite couldn't finish her rather generous scone. The bill came to £2.40, if I lived near there I'd be the size of an elephant!
5. Home to a sleep day, did a nominal amount of laundry then settled down on the sofa with the dog at my feet and the mog snuggled in at my back. I moved only for tea and essentials, slept most of the day and all night. I love my visits away, I love my home equally so was a very tired but very happy sparrer.
Back to routine, which right now is a cuppa and slice of hm cinnamon shortbread
Have a good rest of the day0 -

4. EoN have reduced gas prices from 1 Feb so have switched tariff - already with them so no exit fees
Nice one Skint yet Again. Glad you've switched tariffs okay. You're right, we don't charge exit fees for moving from one of our tariffs to another. Thought I'd pop on to let you know, if you don't already, that you can also sign up for Price Alerts.
This is an online service for customers on our Fixed Price Tariffs. We send an email to tell them if a new version of their tariff is available. This will be no later than 10 days after the new version launches. As there's no exit fees for moving between our tariffs and provided the new version is beneficial, customers can switch product straightaway. It's a good way to make sure you're aware of our latest offers. If this is of any interest , you can sign up online or over the phone. They act as reminders but, for more instant updates about our tariffs and those of other suppliers, best to keep an eye on the independent comparison sites or our website.
Sorry if I'm telling you something you already know Skint yet Again but hope it's of interest.

Some recent pleasure,
The just past full moon rising through the beech trees on Monday night, atmospheric against the clouds.
Famous last words, walking equine pal down the lane after friend said looks like rain, we came back soaked!
Second episode of SW, good job done by cushion of protection during gory parts, am squeamish but curious.
Couldn't sleep last night so got up and came downstairs to read, my big girl just kept snoring but my little spaniel came for a cuddle, ssssh don't tell Captain Scarlet but she snuggled on the sofa with me.
So, after days of hideously slow broadband an engineer turned up to fix it, apparently the problem is with our landline, who knew as it never rings apart from cold calls so is studiously ignored.
Mhags - the new job starts on 8th Feb, think need to review working wardrobe as have lived in jeans or jodphurs for the last few months
Sparrer. - your friends home sounds glorious as did your whole weekend.0 -
1) Lighting the woodstove early on a cold, wet and dreary day.
2) Jacket potatoes for lunch, we love 'em!
3) The rain eased off enough this afternoon for me to give Cookie a nice long walk but it was still very damp in the air and being half poodle she ended up VERY curly.
4) Spoke to DD1 who wasn't shortlisted for the Deputy Head job she interviewed for on Monday and finding that she is OK about it, not feeling rejected but very philosophical.
5) Snowdrops and naked lady crocuses (the mauve ones that come up flower before the leaves) and wild primroses too all out in fair numbers through the village, sign of hope that it won't always be cold, wet and January! Hoorah!!!0
