For yesterday
1. Singing very loudly to old 80’s stuff found - Def Leopard, Aerosmith and guns and roses, still smiling, and we built this city on rock and roll.:o
2. I found myself watching – and enjoying star trek!!!!!!!! I’ll be off to see this new Star Wars film before I know it.:o:o
3. We had a Costco pizza which was both lunch and dinner, extravagant and delicious.:D
4. The house looks like a laundrette I have run out of drying spaces.
For Today.
1. More washing cycling around, I will get back up to date soon..
2. I returned a whole host of calls one very promising about a great job, one about my df, and one not so wonderful necessary evil to get out of the way.
3. I went to Mr T, to see if I could get any reduction help on refilling some empty freezer drawers, they did the mark downs early so I was there for the tail end, some people got great bits, I can’t complain I got the over counter ham they do marked down, sausages and bits for literally pennies. I have to be honest I can't quite believe that people pay the prices they are supposed to be? One pack of the cut ham I picked up was marked down from ten pounds to 90p.
4. The woodpecker and all sorts of birds in the garden.
5. Dinner was all YS chicken, coleslaw and pots.0 -
Just in from Compline after all day out as well.
Oooh Lainey, it's been murk autumnal hier et aujourd'hui, without the mellow fruitfulness, just grey damp gloom and definitely chilling fast. It's a 2hwb tonight and there'll be no daffodils left to bloom either. All done already.
vjm - how dare thee not! 'tis thee as 'as led us in these wykyrd ways.
Okay Raffles, wot's this fillum then? Must be French or Hurrrchrrs. You're starting to rattle the un-cage a bit. No wonder you espressoed yourself down the sink. Precision targeting AND a treble word enchantment from Lady bopsie. boop-boop-deboop.

1. Of all the people & might guess at meeting at the Fitzwilliam, x and y would not make twelvety-thousand-eight-hun'ert'n'numpty thewsand, four more hun'erts and ninety-seven....and & would be wrong.
Lovely meeting, just as & arrived with ancient bronze singing bowl at last, to nugget out knowledge. Ongoing, of course.........
Will next see x and y upon occasion of oval ball, samedi.
2. Another odd, unexpected, crossover mtg at Library. & loves CCL and CUL.
3. ....by which time, Monsieur Lewis, Jean, expected & for tarte au citron et cappuccino, gratuit, on 3rd floor. Mannerly & obliged. Num num. Read more book, too, when not looking out over old rooftops of academe and thinking good thunks....and the mighty crane doing other things, of which less said etcetera.
4. Coach booked for Mond>Lond, better than car for purpose. Wanted to be in Paris+Place de la R!publique again this Sat, as last year, but can't make dates/days mesh. Have a certain day Sun, for which & needs to be in hexagone. Might get across Channel after Sat rugby, but must be back for 5 bells @Trumpy, lundi... Borrowing Lainey's boy therefore, the Hoovèd One, not the Captain.
On verra.
5. Should never go within 7 leagues of Fitzwilliam shop, even for post-crimbo bargains...so, tonight, au lit, & will luxuriate in:http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/gallery/2013/aug/25/derek-jarman-sketchbooks-in-pictures.-just one copy, now &s, rtc £5.

- these were stunning and & has trunk of old heavily worked redundant brocade and silk vestments: copes, chasubles, albs, stoles, amices et al, from outside Marseille several years back. Lots of cording, silver, silver-gilt, and pure gold threadwork - purples, greens, golds, ivories, creams, scarlets, crimsons, no blues though. Amazing survivors, glorious work in true sense of Glory.

Wonderful book. & bought a little Martin Bros piece in Camden Lock years ago, 1st time x took her there. Knew nothing brocante-y then. A lovely little beach scene, Gladys McCabe ptg, the next week. They've both helped & since.

This has dominated my thoughts for some days now.
A bat flew the length of the aisle after compline. Went very near our beautiful Christmas tree on its last night. Epiphany in deed.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Ampersand Sir Billy of the Eliott saddled and ready for when required, be careful mind, he is more charger than palfrey m'lady. FW museum shop has a siren call that few can ignore as does FB Chelsea Buns, the Captains favourite.
Some pleasures for yesterday include,
Foggy first walk with the girls, muffled the sounds of the road so eerily quiet.
Have applied for a job, preferred hours at a family firm specialising in Organic skincare a few miles away so no ridiculous commute. First such application in 14 years so slightly strange but fingers etc crossed.
Invitation for meal out with pals on Friday at fenland pub, BOP will report back on authenticity.
Gentle saunter down the lane with Bill and pals, home in the gloom, hi-viz a necessity.
All Yule decorations now removed, next celebration is Imbolc but snowdrops already up under the beech trees.0 -
LT be careful there in the Fens. I hear yocals are wild. Use rule of BoP, just have a wobbleade shandy. You can't be too trusting, as some ales BoP has sampled only give approximate strengths!
5 Just bin out to get the cash for camera club this evening. Met neighbour who walks his cat. Raffles tags along. It a long story! Think he treats him!
4 Escaped kinema last night. Was a film so the & and DDs of this world. Probably impact would be good, but ignorance. Could had been better. Worth a see for the SW amongst the flock, and would give DDs studies a major.
3 Mince pies, was £3 more, reduced to crumbs on BoP's plate. No wonder they had too many left. BoP was only testing, in case viewers are tempted to give them a try next season.
2 Day BoP is doing training videos. Oh no, press the three finger keys and put puts out of misery!
Foreclosure. It changes everything.0 -
Ooo, it's been 11 years today that I left the ex husband!
Pleasures for yesterday:
1) Healthy eating continues
2) Work must have been ok in that I can't remember it.
3) Almost up to date with the washing.
4) Neighbour talked to me about his roof repairs (a big chunk of tiles and brickwork missing with more tiles on the slide).
5) Invite to niece's first birthday party.
6) Enjoyed watching 24 hours in A and E.
7) Sons went to sleep well so they are getting into the school routine again.
8) Did half an hour of Wii fit.0 -
Have not posted on here for an age, but I do love reading through everyones posts;
* Two NSDs in a row!
* Heating not on until we get home.
* Rang bank and ordered new secure pin and cheque book.
* Up to date with washing (probably for about 12 hours!)
* All meals from stores
* Read some books with my little girl. She adores stories.
* Emails all up to date. Unsubscribed from many newsletters. I don't need the temptation!
* On plan with Slimming World0 -
1) Another dry and sunny walk with my canine pal today, nice walking when the wind was behind us but coming home we were straight into it and it was quite hard work!
2) Lit the stove at lunchtime and blissfully warm now.
3) Planted the primrose plants that Cookie bought me for Christmas in the front lawn next to the two self sown ones we have there already, hopefully many years of beautiful springs are in the offing!
4) Met a very nice labradoodle on our walk today, just over a year and a standard poodle/black lab cross. You can tell it's descended from water dogs though as there are some natural dew ponds on the footpath and the little pest managed to splash his way right through the deepest parts of all of them, much to my amusement and his dads annoyance, he was LOVELY!
5) Made some leek and potato soup for our lunches for a few days from the last of the home grown onions, home grown leeks and home grown potatoes, really love it when we've actually produced most of the ingredients in a dish, very satisfying.0 -
Firth: happy ex anniv? that just doesn't sound right:rotfl:
1. A very promising job has been applied for, I’m really hopeful for getting an interview.:j
2. I lost the morning to a migraine, they are really annoying now, but up and about by midday, on painkillers admittedly but managed to properly top and tail the whole house so it can’t be too bad now.:p
3. The animals downright playing around and with me while I was trying to clean and tidy.:)
4. 2 more loads of bedding washing and we’ll be back up today on washing loads- phew that was a mammoth task.
5. There is a country pancakes jar candle burning which smells delicious, and dinner is cooking away minted chops, cabbage, carrots, sprouts and new pots.:)0 -
My Grains, BoP tip. Look at grey, steady contrast colours on thirst throb.
Or take plenty of wobbleade, but be careful in the Fens!0
