Quickly re-read, mcc
- so it's not 'Work settling down with prospect of decent earrings.'

1. Nasty day, all day, began with toxic neighbour rushing out at me in physical attack mode, fists up, words and accusations to match, spittle on my face. Perhaps in her late 30s? No idea why she's like this, but she did give herself away and has been using t'internet to search things out about &. Mistaken language 'I've got you on film. That's criminal damage. You touched my car.' No - hadn't, didn't, wouldn't. & said nothing. Have wondered why, beyond usual delberate nasties, she's parked her car outside &squat across &drive for over 2 days. Not sure I can allow her continued harassment. Was woken near 0200h today and heard things going on outside . Went quietly out, saw teenage son sneaking back up drive. & still saying nothing, but keeping note.
Oh well, sorry - not a pleasure, but a diary point of sorts.
2. Failed MOT, all to do again demain - expense. Another not pleasure.:(
3. 5p reverbe and 73p off next shop abandoned spit at about to close Mr T when fuelling again on way back - too many litres this week.:( Big new Mr T opening alongside, Thurs.
4. Rugby Saturday - funereal result, could only promise to do darnedest via ABs to avenge albion. All the teatowels back and washed and ironed and out with & again today, but no. 2 meant not yet....
5. Who else said it's cold? Surely is - and wet - just like everywhere else, so 1st porridge of the season this morning - and it was good.
###
Freezing right now, so quick 2nd half of h-g sorrel omelette and not sure what else, except hwb a certainty.
Really disliking all Hurrchrrs Titchner storyline garbage and wuss yet, JAM's back again[again give all mine to kk and frith - you like it, don't you|?]...and tory conference, so it's mostly france-inter listening for & this week.
Please wish & and car well o/n and for tmrw, and &'s worry for flood-hit friend in that part of France. Haven't been able to make contact for a fortnight.. Still no spits resumption still, with repair bills, new cooker therefore delayed and blah blah.
Havng a major whinge/rant double - hope I feel suitably ashamed if I see this actually goes and stays. Putah and comms have been nowhere for 36hrs, altho all mob credit disappeared o/n without cause. Replaced by Mr T. sans quibble. That should be no. 6. :-)
#
Correcting again and again - suddenly see ludicrous letter and word changes actually appear before my eyes 7 or 8 lines up or down and screen jumping....
#
Frith - same sort of day-ish, sounds like - and now mob. went bzzbzz, nothing there, but screen has just leapt all over the place, in patchwork pieces, with a slashed circle symbol zooming all over the place.
No idea what's happening, except one thing...switching the lot off. NOW.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

So dark this morning, the year is sliding by
Pleasures for today
Constructive meeting first thing, moving towards successful conclusion re work problem.
Took DM to hospital to have a 24hr monitor put in place, appointment on time, cardiac nurse we saw was lovely, took time to put my Mum at ease but we were finished in 20 mins, back tomorrow to drop monitor off.
Weather surprisingly mild, helped friend at the yard to bring horses in as she was there by herself.
Come home to smell of chook roasting in oven courtesy of my lovely DM, what a treat being cooked for, Captain Scarlet not so good with cooking.
Quiz night on Tv, UC, OC , gets the little grey cells working, bit of help with cheeky few Liquorice Allsorts, nom nom0 -
Sorry to hear about your neighbour woes, Ampersand. Definitely keep a diary (with times) of incidents.
Nothing to report re: MrN's replacement except we had a bit of a titter at the weekend when he spent AGES (like, an hour) fiddling about under the tree opposite with a step ladder. When we looked again, he was hanging upside down and twirling about from some gymnastic rings!! He's older than me and looked a bit of a chump. Then he got his little stepladder and took the rings back down again. :-D All this in a tree in a public (albeit village) car park, next to a main road!0 -
Ampersand - what a horrible day all round!!! Your wise words would tell me to rise above it and tomorrow it will be better - however my gut instinct would be to drink wine, eat chocolate breath deeply and tell the world to leave me alone (in not such polite terms either!!!) - I do hope things improve tomorrow! but in meantime sending you lots of virtual Vin Rouge et chocolate! Sorry won't even get that as your IT is part of today's trouble! Sorry!
So pleasures for today!
1. Work was ok - its 'hospice cares week' so lots going on but feeling like I am doing the right thing staying put! Part of a great team and felt very proud today!
2. NSD - first for a while! Must do better
3. Love the autumn colours on the way to work - but not loving the oak leaves and acorns covering my garden!!!
4. Still managing to keep the heating off although I doubt we will last much longer! Thank goodness for couch blankets!
5. Friend has a batch of sloe gin on the go for me!!! Will be ready just in time for Christmas!0 -
My pleasures for today
1. Good interview but didn't get the job unfortunately. Good practice though.
2. Wore my CS m&s linen dress and cardigan.
3. Bought a wooden sun lounger with cushion from CS for £20 - bargain - think will have to wait till next year to use it. Looked online & didn't realise how expensive they are, really pleased with my bargain.
4. Enjoyed a glass of fizz to drown my sorrows re job.
5. Looking up ideas for setting up a business from home.0 -
Evening all
Five pleasures for Monday:
1. Waking up very warm in bed and in a very clean bedroom.
2. Enjoyable writing class this morning. Dug deep into memories and pulled out some long forgotten ones to write about. Polished it off at home as homework and emailed it to tutor before I got cold feet over it and changed it all. It won't be hanging over me all week now.
3. Smoked haddock, spuds, carrots (the last batch of home grown) and broccoli for supper.
4. University Challenge on iplayer.
5. DS2 spotted a toad walking along the wet front wall of our house late this evening. I like the idea of having a toad patrol.
Sweet dreams

Heydy doody!
Hope all are well.
Having had a dreadful monday, I shall attempt pleasures.
1. Didn't brain smallest little when she told me with 5 mins to go till drop off that she was dressed whilst still completely naked.
2. Smiled bravely when I realised I had missed the memo about school uniform and now clothed littlest was only child in summer uniform
3. Got to bus stop to go get new uniform only to realise that my purse and bus pass were at home. Pleasure being that I went home, made a cuppa. Sobbed and vowed to start the day anew.
4. Popped into to wi*ko and bought stationary I didn't need but made me happy, then into g*eggs for a sausage roll to make me fat but happy.
5. The knowledge that I survived a sh*tty day, but that for some everyday is hard.
Phew turned a bad day into some pleasures. Sweet dreams my lovelies xxx
ETA-broomstick I love love love the idea of toad patrol made me smile xxxSIMPLY BE-££577.11:eek:

Thought I'd just come here, see everyone's nasty Mondays truly banished. Whatever lurgy accompanied yesterday[cold, screaming throat, sniffles-dkw] has not gone, but will.

1) Cookie and I managed a walk just after lunch when we only had one very short shower, the rest of the day is and has been wet, wet, wet!
2) A neighbour came to visit with her little 2 year old grandson, oh the fun you can have with a cuddly doggie and a canvas crawl through tube!
3) Home made cauliflower cheese soup for lunch today, nice to want hot food, we've been on sandwiches and salads for a long time now with the benign weather so nice to make soup again.
4) He Who Knows has decided that his short sleeved shirts are going into storage as it's cool enough to want long sleeves, must be autumn.
5) The pansies we planted up into the window boxes and big patio pots are full of blooms now, such lovely colours and cheery on dull days like today.0 -
One for Ampersand from last night ;-)
Put Just a Minute on to listen to in bed and a chorus of "Hoorah" came from the other bedroom! So I had to put the laptop on the landing so we could all listen to it.
Pleasures for today:
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Survived work with the worst reflux in the world. I really feel as though my chest could burst into flame at the moment.
3) Something rather radical put in place for the one I feel I cannot help at work...
4) Went for a cup of tea with my school friend after work.
5) Have bought sons some strawberries and chocolate to melt to dip them in so they're pleased.
6) Looking forward to Holby City later.
7) A sad little answering machine message from south of Spain sounding mortgage company (despite the silly officious emails telling me I haven't emailed them stuff when I have!) Well, they have a few days to sort my new mortgage out or I shall be off to the other provider (actually have an appointment there on Monday but it is already agreed in principle).
8) Booked a lesson in November and December for driving for sons. :-)0
