well done on eastleigh
5 Had hammer out, no sparra not the toffee hammer, the full 16th one, to those in new money, the 1lb version. And a long of swing. Good for your tackle, that is.
4 Ex wardrobe of BoPsie bits is now firewood. Turning into carbon. Well she was falling apart!
3 Rescued BoPsie from duck works and bought her a cup of tea. Proper stuff. They also sell foamed coffee as well. Bop also snook a ice cream in.
2 Night bag of BoP packed for sparrashire. Two nights only as Jenny, is tested on Thursday.

Much love and hugs to mhagster and Mr mhags. x
Pleasures for the past few days.
1) Went to see a film by myself as DH was away - and I survived! A few sympathetic looks, but other than walking about to the car I didn't need anyone!
2) Trip to see the rugby yesterday. Amazing atmosphere away and I went with new acquaintances, whom are fellow fans. Great day and managed to keep up with three of my New Year resolutions: watch the Leicester Tigers away, have more fun and make new friends/meet new people.
3) Baked my cake for tomorrow night's cake club. The theme is "My Childhood" so I've baked a marble cake!
4) Visited Mr T's and.... wait for it..... managed to stick to my list and bought no more than that!
5) Bought tickets for a friend and I to go to the Good Food Show Summer, and used a 20% off code from Lakeland. Managed to get tickets into the supertheatre to see James Martin. The friend I'm going with is delighted. She's hoping for a proposal at least. :rotfl:
Right, time to get ready for bed. So exhausted and my body still aches after loads of shouting and flag waving yesterday.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

2) lift from dd2 to church where i was doing sunday school. third in a row (!) but was showing ropes to 2 potential newbies :j
3) then lunch with 7 other friends from the cathedral at a new tapas bar in broughty ferry. yummy.
4) back to the ones whose flat is closest to the cathedral for coffee and pudding (so a little bit mse?)
5) then back to cathedral for big diocese thing with substantial nibbles and wine after.

Well the day before major surgery has arrived ( in lots of ways , thank goodness in others oh no)
Day off work, which would be my usual day off anyway.
Up early , phoned friend from home and had a good chat with her.
Took DD2 to school
Took DD1 to uni, finally arranged to catch up friend ( this is the one who will be my hospital chauffeur , so nice to catch up before it all happens) , normally just drop DD off but said you go buy a parking ticket whilst I park. She was gone for ages , so much so, I was wondering where she had gone....she was almost staggering ( exaggerated ) under the weight of the cash windfall from the ticket machine! It wasn't working, she put in my $2 for a $1.50 ticket, it wouldn't come out so pressed the red button and out came a whole load of coins! She shared some with the girl behind her ....it was about $10 in total. We then had to find another machine as I didn't want a $90 fine!
Met friend, at cafe I used to work in on uni campus, was saying hello to little boss man and saw a $10 note under someone's table. Said to old boss, there's $10, we asked the guy at the table, is that yours ? Nah....but he kept it anyway....so it's all about the $10 today!
We had a good catch up, I had a nice hot chocolate, saw quite a few familiar faces which was nice. Walked back to the car, said hello to the Ducks and the moorhens.
Very lazy after that, ate some mothers day chocolates and had a snooze, which was fully of strange dreams.
Returned one set of crutches to physio....fed up tripping over one pair or another every blooming day!
Picked up DD2 at school. Then had to take her back up as she has a drama production and will have to go back out for her in an hour or so.
Went to bakers shop, got 6 free dinner rolls with my loyalty card, then fruit shop for some F&V.
Home made lentil soup for dinner...''twas delicious , I've had mine already.
Bought my UK mags....just the one month behind!
Met DD1 whilst I was walking up to post office, so she came up with me and carted a huge parcel home....don't think the postie knocked very loudly that neither me or the dog heard him.
I'm now going to keep myself busy for another hour or so until OH and DS get in from work and then will settle in for night once I've picked up DD2.
Have a lovely Monday.0 -
Hi everyone.
I'm back (again) to see if I can keep up with this challenge for the nth time.
For yesterday.
I had a very pleasant,longish walk.
I went down to the lake.
I saw the pair of swans with their four cygnets.Three eggs remain, but neither parent was on the nest. Not sure why.Can they sense that these eggs aren't going to hatch?
I did my stretches.
I made a proper meal, instead of just picking.
Wishing you all a good day.0 -
Right, sitting on the edge of SparraShire sith enough in bag for two nights.0

mhagster sending you a big, virtual (((hug))),having read through your recent posts.0

mhagster - thinking of you & your family today (& chuckling over relieved Haggis) - a machine voice? For a while. Huge hugs!
MrsLurcherwalker - small people playing are generous with their delight & it's infectious.
DundeeDoll - "tackle for life" - dear gods yes...
Frith - we had a polling clerk colleague stagger in, view her inbox & make the intelligent call to reset her out of office & retreat back to home, & bed. However, I hope the better mattress is worth your effort!
VJSmum - "liberating" cuddly toys has set my imagination off.
ampersand - comment ca va?
OS Pleasures recently
"Flabilicious" - love son's deft bending of words...
"Nonsense & Weather" on the radio, cheerfully advising "Morning, nice & bright, no reason not to vote!"
Despite plans to show the chaps How We Vote (within reason) they elected to sit outside & make loud squeaks on blades of grass. Much happy tootling as we walked back, with beaming pauses to check we'd admired a particularly loud squawk.
Scout energy! With the usual meeting place earning as a polling station, we went up onto the hill & played games - scouts can't half run when so minded!
Ah, the squeaks when the suggestion "get the chip butty doings sorted" is heard. Not entirely MS, but not a bite wasted.
Eavesdropping on the yells & chuckles as the chaps watch some zombie thing. Not my idea of fun viewing but hearing them whoop? Good times.
Seen - a superhero all masked & otherwise covered in Lycra. Couldn't figure how he got in, (or out) of costume... As for plumbing?!
Overheard "Shall we try & sell the spoons?" From a lad to mate, each clutching tubs of icecream, & one a bag of 50 plastic teaspoons! Hurrah, entrepreneurs of the future!
Happy car boot time! One child with framed papyrus, another with a tin that looks sensationally like a very exotic hardwood & Himself with a handful of Sabatier knives still in the packaging, dusty but potent...
Dug & planted & strung & watered in my pease patch. I'm not fit to be seen but the grin? Is that of one eyeing real AngloSaxon pease pudding in the months to come, with blossom en route. And the faintly regretful awareness that I'll be paying for these exertions for a few days.
Smashing forecast of lovely sunshine by day & reliable drizzle by night - no lugging watering cans required!
Big big hugs to all who need them, good luck healthy meals & plenty of sleep to all households facing new or familiar challenges (GCSEs, marking, reappearing socks etc) and do make time to enjoy things - the laundry can wait a few minutes!0 -
hope the op goes well mhags
