    Evening all :)

Thanks for the heads up about the dawn chorus programme sparrer.

Ampersand, congrats on the babies. How lovely!

Which leads me onto my five pleasures for Wednesday:

    1. I was sure we had a blackbird's nest in the climbing plants on the back wall of our little courtyard garden but I had had no sight of the bird since before the weekend so I thought the little ones might have flown early or the nest been abandoned. I crept over to it and moved a branch very quietly to have a look and there was a sudden panic and the bird flew out. I beat a hasty retreat and felt awful but thankfully, about five minutes later, she flew back. It was a huge relief. I won't make that mistake again :o but it's lovely to know that the nest must have eggs in it still.

    2. Spent a couple of hours at the allotment digging. It was soooo blowy and nobody else was about. Very pleasant.

    3. A kind person has given me a little gas stove so that I can use to make hot drinks in my shed.

    4. Reading some of the barmier election candidates in our area's promotional leaflets and websites. We seem to have acquired several ...er... original and unique parties.

    5. Chatting to DS1 for quite a long time over supper. I so enjoy his company.

Big hugs, strength and healing vibes for tomorrow's day in hospital, Mhags and family.

    Sweet dreams

Early start done, just back and took tory neighbour to vote. &. Dressed in red, entirely:-) Together, we make purple, we joke together. .

    1. Little robins looking fine. A sunny start, important factor for any opposition on polling day.

    2. Have looked out great pic of & with Norman Kirk, PM and have printed this out,
In the early 1970s, New Zealand's Prime Minister Norman Kirk laid out a political philosophy which still resonates today. People, he said, don't want much. They want: "Someone to love, somewhere to live, somewhere to work and something to hope for."

-as recently spoken by John Humphreys in this excellent piece:

Ensemble with me at LPHQ today.

    3. Compline last night. My hopeless self, before all that is and awaits.

    4. Rang enzed famberley, asked them all to think of me, if only in my Mum's tireless footsteps today.....esp. speaking with my beloved Uncle, her brother.

    5. Can't wait for their Tour. Just a few more plays &, naughty.

Got through today, many tears shed ,much sobbing done.

    Pleasures?
    Kindness shown
All day parking nearby ...at a cost but not worrying about tickets running out.
    Late lunch

That's as much as I can muster. Another very emotionally confronting kind of day but no more hospital until Tuesday.

    Happy Election Day

Massive hugs and bundles of strength to you Mhags and family.

We (sons and I) have just got back from voting too, &, and I've seen our blackbird fly into the nest again so, indeed, all is well on that front.

Now, you knows that BoP, favourite of Social Jerkers, Educationalists and Humaine Remains, has another to add to the dark room with two chairs. Smartie Counters. Confine them to the backward facing chairs. Apols afforded to the real people.

5 POETS Day the morrow, so bags checked. Native treats sorted. Chocolates, unfortunately with & and her sun dance, will not travel. Nom. Nom.

4 Thursday curry day. So had roast buzzard instead. Rubs tum of BoP. Good for you. And soon to be watered down with a squeeze of wobbleade wench's sponge. Flavoursome!

3 On the subject, smarties counter, paid for by BoP, so not his money but mine, cannot add up. Will be getting his stamps in the morning and ... Rite mooding flock is BoP. Mind out! Note to youngster. His stamp card, so he can join the queue!

2 Day BoP has righted the world. And not voted as it is a comp... No, boP sorted his postal one out two weeks back.

1 Have we all been saved yet?

mhags and co tons of loves and hugs
goodness i'm tired. all the excitements of work catching up on me!
    1) main campus day today, leisurely walk in with xoh who then treated me to tea
    2) meeting with someone from humanities who wanted to know all about putting a course online and treated me to a coffee
    3) lunch with colleague from education (yes i did do some 'real' work between 1 and 2) and we discussed online discussions face to face
    4) then meeting which we'll gloss over as no mse pleasure there, then seminar which had wine and nibbles after. they didn't realise the red needed a cork screw so i had white. now i remember why i never drink white - goes straight to my head!
    5) after good chat with colleague (and meeting set up with him and college secretary monday) walked home with xoh and all family home to vote. we were all torn between 2 parties (not always the same two) and have a three way vote (2 each to the 2 i was torn between). we wait and see the outcome
not staying up, in bed already. zzzzzzz

    Good evening everyone :hello:

A rather busy few days. Took my class to learn about the reservoir etc yesterday. Absolutely fascinating, but thankfully they could all parrot about a reservoir being a man made lake, etc. :D I've taught them something, at least!

So, my pleasures for the past few days:

    1) Went to the gym today. Almost had fisticuffs (ok, so not quite) with a lady who wanted to put her clothes in MY locker, in which I'd already put some of my clothes!

    2) NSD

    3) Voted.

    4) Quick supper of pasta & sauce, washed down by a cup of tea.

    5) Whilst voting, bumped into loads of my new colleagues to-be. I have a new job starting in September! All absolutely lovely and all saying how much they're looking forward to working with me. :D They'll learn. ;)

Mhags - hugs to you all

    1. Voted and polling station busy at 18.45

    2. Tesco delivery arrived and some good substitutions.

    3. Chat with colleague at work - she understands some of the issues happening and feels the same.

    4. Another collegue is getting married soon and most people have taken in a wedding photo. It was fun looking at them and the different styles over the years.

    5. Lasagna for tea (from the freezer).
