Been busy over past few days so a few in no order

On Friday went to Wisley gardens with a friend and had a lovely day wandering around and came home with lots of ideas.
She kindly then dropped me off at a station and I went to see Harlequins and Bath. It was a good evening evev if we lost. It was a good sendoff for the retiring/leaving players especially with Ugo scoring twice.

Saturday I spent time in the garden with a bit of help from DS2 who had come home to watch the rugby. Then dropped him off at the station.
It was lovely in the garden warm I managed to achieve a fair amount.

Sunday some time in the garden and then to MIL - I picked some more rhurbarb and cleaned the house as we brought the bed downstairs.
Visited her at the hospital and they wanted to send her home today. After discussion yesterday and DH phoning them today the OT is going to do a house visit and to make sure all equipment is there before she is allowed to go home. Sense at last.

Work not too bad did change sites at lunch time and so enjoyed the sunshine.

Thinking of you all mhags, keeping you in my thoughts and prayers x

Just sitting here steaming having thrown the new garden hose down in a fit of pique. Or a strop, to be honest . I've never had one that worked properly, the water either comes out in a dribble or like the last one leaked like mad. So I treated myself to a new one, but can't fix it to the garden tap without it spurting water everywhere . Oh well, back to the watering can.
But if that's all I have to complain about life must be pretty good so not difficult to find 5 pleasures...

    1. Started pulm rehab course this morning, had a jolly good workout and a chinwag with some of the ladies who have also been on the course before. Lovely to see them again.
    2. I was very organised yesterday and put an old concertina file to use as a birthday file. It already has 19 cards in it, 6 of them for this month alone.
    3. Checked my till receipt from yesterday's shopping, two items went through at the wrong price. Took them back today and got a refund from a very disinterested young man who told me it was my fault for using the self service check-out. I don't use those things as something always went wrong when I did so spoke quietly to the supervisor who refunded my whole bill. I was both amazed and delighted, I like that little shop and have never had problems before.
    4. Bought some more bits today, salad leaves and cucumber at 9p each, a bag of pearl potatoes, fresh beetroot and a punnet of tomatoes for 15p each. Salad days :).
    5. Also got another bunch of chrysanths for 9p, the last YS bunch lasted more than two weeks and I feel sorry for YS flowers, I feel they should be given a good home before they're thrown away :o

Have a good rest of the evening :)

If I've got it right, your tomorrow starts soon, MHags so I shall think of you all before I go to bed and when I get up tomorrow when your day is done.

    Pleasures for today (Monday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Sons seem to have had good days at school. Well, haven't heard otherwise!

    3) Bigger son has handed in two (TWO!!) pieces of homework and started his third tonight. :-)

    4) Work OK for me today. Head teacher talked to me about the voting job last week.

    5) A colleague (no idea who, just had a round robin email) is selling off lots of her old clothes and the money is going to charity. All size 16/18, which is helpful! Really lovely stuff, Boden or posher. So I now have a Dickens and Jones dress and a Boden coat! She put price stickers on and it was £6 altogether.

    6) Have felt grumpy and unsettled all day, for no reason. So went into town after school (only 7 miles from school to town, but about 18 from here) and looked round the charity shops. Didn't find anything so will be content with the dress and coat.

    7) Texts from brother in law. He is taking bigger son camping and climbing in half term. I have been talking to smaller son that this is a rare chance for us to do something that only interests him. I was thinking seaside, long train trip..... no, he wants to go to see the steam railway, just down the road!

Can't think of anymore for now!

    Evening all :)

    Five pleasures for Sunday/Monday:

    1. Bits and pieces of work completed while in bed this morning. (Laptop and phone to hand so why move!) :D

    2. Looking at the before and now photos of the allotment. I'm keeping a photo diary in the form of a private blog,

    3. Loads of useful things done at the lottie late afternoon: all hoeing done, slug nematodes watered in, almost all grass and weeds strimmed, spuds earthed up, more digging... and DS1 helped a bit as well this evening after work.

    4. Easy pasta supper.

    5. Watching the final of Young Dancer on iplayer. Loved the winner's performances in particular. Not surprised they chose that dancer.

Mhags, hubby and children - I am thinking of you all and sending huge hugs.

    Sweet dreams
    B x
