ManaM90 - I bought the cages and just put them together.
Sparrer - I tidied the leaves in December but hadn't touched them since and perhaps I shoud have done.

    1. Met a friend for coffee in a small independant coffee shop.

    2. Watched some of the rugby - good matches but a shame that England didn't win the 6 nations.

    3. Met friends for dinner and had a good evening. Spent much of the time talking about chickens! and making agricultural land into gardens.

    4. Changed sofa covers to wash them. It changes the feel of the room.

5 Saw red yesterday. And it was the goalie who walked! Bloody cold and I bust me zip as well. My coat zip that is, some 17 years old that coat, going strong, bin wetted more than once. Gone, well not completely though.

4 Yes, the MSE bit, the sleeves are offed and being used as lens covers for the BoP image machine. Saves a fortune, but new jacket required!

3 Had a decent rub tum this day, snorker, bacon, mushrooms, loads of, two poached eggs, and beans, not broad! Washed with tea and orange. Rubs tum.

2 Day is day off feet up and BoPsie natter!

    Pleasures for yesterday (Saturday).

    Sudden and vicious cold notwithstanding:

    1) Not a bad sleep and a bit of a lie in.

    2) Went to Croome (National Trust) and sons enjoyed the RAF museum and having lunch in one of the 1940s blocks.

Found a geocache and bumped into parents' neighbours!

Bigger son managed to sustain 3 injuries (this is not unusual). 2 were from abusing the facilities offered in the playground by climbing on top of the "castle" instead of using the slide. The first was a cracking splinter which meant I had to use every tool in my Swiss card knife (apart from the pen!) https://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Victorinox-Swiss-Card-Quattro/257940011?ULP_CAMPAIGN_ID=3&gclid=CjwKEAjw0LmoBRDHuo7UkaKXhn8SJADmDTG08NIqZzLBiE3WWyP61n4sIF6MrVlMHspGvXGhn_yxQBoCLrvw_wcB

ETA - the card in the link isn't quite the same as mine as I have a knife and scissors!

The second was a normal scrape from hooking himself to the edge of the roof whilst climbing down. The third was when we found ourselves stuck on the wrong side of the ha-ha so he gave me a leg up, toppled over and headbutted the wall!

Still said it was his favourite day out this year.

    3) The chip van did not appear in the village so we had to drive to town for our fish and chips.

    4) Enjoyed the Voice.

    5) Did my criminal check thing online for my job without problems.

had a lovely day yesterday, so here's 5
    1) dogs woke 7:03, took them for a lovely walk up Balgay Hill, glorious sunshine
    2) Saturday soak in the bath, reading book, bliss
    3) after obligatory housework met dd1 in town and took her out for lunch at Oshibori, new Japanese restaurant.
    4) then to friends' flat for gin and rugby. stopped at Mr T en route for red apples (for the Caorunn), strawberries (st george's), mango (sapphire) and cucumber (Hendrickes but didn't get that far) and dips. very exciting rugby
    5) then home, tired and slightly disappointed that we couldn't quite clinch it.

Just taken me ages to catch up. Not sure why I've not really managed to get on.

    Congrats on the job Frith!!

Here's some pleasures for the last week.

1 - Smashed it at work this week. We are doing so well (hope I don't jinx it) and it's so nice to celebrate together.

2 - Despite doing a crazy long day on Tuesday I really enjoyed it.

3 - Night out to see a local band on Wednesday. I kno one of the members so I said I'd pop along. Added pleasure was I didn't spend much.

4 - Long overdue catch up with my parents. Mum made me egg and soldiers and it was delicious.

5 - Leaving the parents with bag full of goodies (always happens).

6 - OH home for the weekend.

7 - Made a super yummy sausage plait.

8 - Night out last night to our old local. Great band playing and as I'd been given a little money as a gift this week all drinks were covered by that.

9 - Reached pay out level on survey site so bring on the £50.

10 - Most definitely the best pleasure though is a surprise visit from a friend who has been extremely unwell. It as the best ever. Made me so emotional. Her strength and determination is oustanding.

    me too.
    and for today
    1) xoh back so 'slept' through early doggie alarm tee hee
    2) sunday school outing to friend's church to see other forms of worship. he does 'cafe church' which revolves round doughnuts and coffee (juice for children). was really good, rather different to the high church service we enjoy at the cathedral. provost asked if i was going to defect. no, but i might go back for the occasional visit
    3) macaroni cheese for lunch. recipe said 500g for 4(!) cut it down to 300g and still made 5 servings, 3 of which now in freezer
    4) discovered recipe for falafel using mung beans (we have an enormous bag and i am determined to work our way through our stocks)
    5) excitement of the day - we have a new bin timetable starting tomorrow, maroon bin for glass, blue for paper and plastic, brown for compost, grey for non-recyclable and small green for kitchen waste. grey used to be weekly, on a monday, and is now every other tuesday, new kitchen waste weekly on monday. only me and one other neighbour has gone for kitchen waste, everyone else has gone grey. you see how exciting my life is ;-)

Loving the bins DD! Simple pleasures!

Busy weekend for me - so not much done in the house - refuse to feel guilty as this weekend was my only child free time for a while!

    1. Friday night met a friend for tea (was meant to be a few friends but the were running late!) I managed to get from desk to ready to going out in 45 min and they were running late even though they weren't at work! - the result was my friend had voucher in the pub so I didn't pay for food or the fizzy wine! We went to another friends 40th and had a good night and ended up a night club (something I never do) met someone from my old work who told me I was an inspiration to her which made me warm and fuzzy inside - and no it wasn't just the wine!!!

    2. Saturday - had a lie in and watched the Yorkshire chef's 400th show which was quite funny in a chaotic type of way - Jonny Vegas was hysterical!

    3. Saturday afternoon - caught up with another friend - went to watch the rugby in the pub and he paid for the beer!

    4. Had a lovely picture message from DD1 saying ' 'The more I grow, the more I realised that my mum is the best best friend that I have ever had' - made me cry and smile at the same time

    5. Had a nice afternoon today with DD2 just pottering around a new home wear store - she even started to talk about the things she would like when she had a place of her own - not trying to get rid - but I was worried that she was planning on staying at home til she was 40!

    6. DD3 and DS back from Dads tonight - watched the canal program again - they are seriously nagging me to do a canal holiday again - can't decide whether I am being crazy or courageous even thinking about doing that with just the 2 kids - DS thinks he's a big man and says he will be able to do everything that another adult would do!

    7. 4 day week to look forward to this week - using up the last of this years annual leave for a sneaky day off on Thursday - going to use it to tidy the study and do uni work! So rock and roll!
