Beautiful day here - felt positively summery! Spent the afternoon tidying the garden and at one point almost felt like lighting the BBQ! Felt a bit down about my single status thinking it would be so nice to have someone to share the joys of maintaining a house and garden! Hey ho - onward and upward - just have to get on with it!!!

Sorry to hear you are having a difficult time mcculloch - hope Dr C gets sorted and can be independent soon!

    1. Lots of Yellow thing - and even felt warm!
    2. Lazy morning with the other chef on TV
    3. Delicious chocolate muffins made from chocolate I had hidden in the baking cupboard - DS helped and now knows where the chocolate stash is though!!!
    4. Screen ban for DS didn't make him grumpy at all - he helped in the house this morning and made a great job of clearing the raised bed in the garden - rewarded with a friend sleeping over
    5. NSD - which is great for a Saturday with the kids! resisted the call of the take way on the way home from picking up DD2 and made kids sausage and chips and me curry from the freezer!

Judi: Sharing the pleasures of home owning - that’s a great way of phrasing it, made me smile I hadn’t thought of it like that until then…
    1. Made the most of the weather by weeding a boarder but only one boarder as I started to squish crocus’s in the lawn so gave up but not without a big bag of garden rubbish.
    2. Two loads of washing on the line to dry.:)

    2. 3 vases of daffodils in the house :)
    3. The fridge and larder have been cleared of all 'naughty' foods ready for the new season's eating plan. Looking forward to it
    4. To the theatre this evening to see The ELO Experience, thoroughly enjoyed every minute
    5. Back to a friend's house with a Chinese, ages since I've had one and won't have another until I can get into my summer clothes

    Agood day.

    1. I had a chat with a friend on the phone - she has been ill but is improving and sounded very cheerful.

    2. Up early and made lentil soup and have frozen it ready for lunches. It makes morning so much easier.

    3. A lovely walk to the station - it takes 25 minutes and across fields but spring is on the way.

    4. Watching rugby and we won.

    5. Seeing sisters with their faces painted - the eldest about 10 had a really pretty, glittery, flowery face and her younger sister had a vampire face. It amused me how different they were.

Best wishes to DrC. (Brother of Frith is also 31 and it seems nothing will persuade him to leave parents' of Frith house. There are a lot of arguments about it, it seems). Sorry to hear about the fall downstairs also. :-(

    Pleasures for yesterday:

    1) A lie in! Smaller son slept until 10.30 (he is still asleep now).

    2) Bigger son had a very active day, starting with walking to his father's (4 miles).

    3) Smaller son and I had "Subway" sandwiches for lunch - nice rolls with chicken, avocado, pepper etc.

    4) We all had lots of games of football and tennis on the grass behind the village hall.

    5) Popped to town to get some cash from the cashpoint and had a quick game of football on the sports field there too!

    6) Went swimming with sons and my brother.

    7) Bought fish and chips from the van and had tea at my parents'.

    8) Watched Star Wars.

    9) My school friend phoned (the one who has moved away recently).

    Pleasures for Friday:

    1) Up to the Black Country for relation visiting so saw some new charity shops! Very warm and sunny.

    2) Visited Aunty and we had a sandwich together and watched the news.

    3) Tasty tea.

    4) Bigger son went off roleplaying with brother and brother in law.

    5) My friend's baby came out of hospital. Lots of antibiotics given by the nurse at home each day now.

    6) Enjoyed watching Gogglebox.

    yesterday:

    1) beautiful sunshine
    2) morning spent with dd (6) as ds was at a party, in the park looking at flowers and climbing trees (her - in a party frock and flip flops!)
    3) treated us both to a snack in an old fashioned tea shop and we took some spare welsh cakes away in napkins to finish in the park on the way home
    4) garden very much waking up, birds singing and skittishly fluttering around
    5) friend popped over on bikes, and the children made a den in the front garden.

it's back to weather as usual now (grey sky, light drizzle) which is good because now I'll get some indoor chores done and won't feel hard-done by about being inside.

    have a lovely day everyone!
    :AA/give up smoking (done) :)
