Great news on the house VJSmum. Ampersand sending hugs and hoping your absence is putah related rather than injury related!!!

    Well had good day today:

    1. Early start in work so felt ahead of the game from the morning
    2. Difficult conversation was easy!
    3. Amazing parents evening for DS - can't explain how hard the last 18 months have been but suffice to say I was proud, he was proud, and then set himself his own improvement targets and even mentioned doing A levels instead of running away and joining the Marines at 16!!! I know it only one day and things might change tomorrow but for today I am ecstatic!
    4. Found out I get a 2k pay rise in October - and if I pay it off my mortgage it will reduce my term by 2 years 5 months!!!
    5. Have done some constructive reading for my dissertation tonight!! Might be getting an idea!
  • BoP Tour Latest.

To those reading at work, ha ha ha. Last eve BoP could not make his mind up what to feast on and ended up treating with Monkfish, and pea risotto. Washed down with a wobbleade or two. Rubs tum.

Today BoP will at the summit. Then I just do not know. Right nows the snorkers are waiting to feast on. Rub tum again.

Good day yesterday as I was off work.

    1. I went for a walk round the Pinetum locally.I walked for about an hour and a half in lovely surroundings and talked to a few people and it was sunny.

    2. Watching my chickens wandering about.

    3. Managed to avoid shopping but must go today but ekeed out food for an extra day. It helps that I drink black coffee and DH finished the milk this morning with his porridge and had to drink his coffee black!

    4. A few daffodils out in the garden. Most are still in bud.

    5. I cleaned my car - never sure why I put it off so much as it doesn't take that long and I quite enjoy it in nice weather.

Well, I have tried to post the past couple of days but posts have gone wherever it is they go!

Have worked very hard but very happily last 3 days ....another 3 to go and then hopefully time off. New boss is very nice ( so far) , has a sense of humour ( and is a kiwi ampersand) and is not afraid to work hard.
Amazing what a lick of paint , some foresight and probably a bit of money can do to a business. We have been very busy since we reopened.

Went to PTA the other night, I enjoyed it but oh my , some people just like the sound of their own voices!

Cooler weather has been welcome, definitely an autumnal touch to the mornings. Dark until 6.50am and was dark at 8.15pm tonight.

Had a very relaxing bath ,which is a treat but it was raining ( I don't feel so guilty when it's raining about using all the water.

Shall save a pleasure for another day

    Have a good Friday :)

Proper loose leaf tea now being served. Buttie of Bacon, with egg due shortly. Rubs Tum.

I am afraid that BoPsie is feeling the cold, she has been down south too long. Bacon egg banjo well eaten. Now sat on stool watching.

This week has been chaos - today a year 11 girl hit one of the boys in the face with an exam paper, which was fun to deal with.
    1. World book day costumes done a day late at our school, spent the day dressed as Wendy Darling.
    2. OH has two consecutive weekends off, which is novel.
    3. The yellow thing has made an appearance!
    4. Fluffy seems much better which is a weight of my mind.
    5. Catching up on all your pleasures!

    Evening all.

Congrats on the pay rise judi.

1 - Technically yesterday but fresh linen. The nicest feeling getting into bed.
2 - Making time to do things that I enjoy. It's taken me a while to realise I need to do little things that help me de-stress.
    3 - Made coconut brownies.
    4 - OH is home.
5 - Curled up on the sofa to watch a movie.

Judi:  Congratulations on the rise.
Ampersand: I hope you are resting???

I’ve spent the week nursing a critically ill fuzz, we thought we were going to lose him as he’s our oldie as well, the vet said to keep him comfortable as he doesn’t seem to be in pain, touch wood, he’s not recovered but seems to be brighter after being given a warm convalesance food every couple of hours for the past 5 days he is definitely enjoying the special attention. Today he got up for the first time and greeted us when we got up, or was more likely saying you are late where is my grub.:p

I am having a bit of an odd problem with some of the seeds specifically in the greenhouse, some have grown, curled around and the root tip has come out of the soil, has anyone had this before?

Looking forward to a promised beautiful day tomorrow I will spend it in the garden, while DH works on his car.:)
    1. Planted as many seeds as I could with the prospect of a lovely day tomorrow put the 3 new seed boxes out in the greenhouse, with plenty of help from Megs one of our ferrets who loved feeling “special” when they aren’t allowed in the greenhouse, I’ve run out of room now until some plants germinate to get outside.:o
    2. Side tracked playing with the animals.:)
    3. Washing loads, floor cleaning , our bedding changed previous bedding washed and folded, cleaner run through washing machine and dishwasher.
    4. Had a voucher through from the local pizza place I have a free large pizza to be delivered as long as I buy a side, I think we will use that tomorrow.
    5. No paint on the walls today, as I got out of bed this morning a floor board came away, que mini eeks from me, taking bed apart, removing bed, take up floor, over to wickes to purchase floorboards, lots of cutting and fitting going on upstairs by DH, but we might be kipping on the sofa tonight, ah the adventures of being an adult.
    6. I did a late night on my own wander to Mr T as we ran out of milk, I picked up some “light” ice cream, and what I call leftover RTC’s croissants for tomorrows brekkie and hot x buns another brekkie at some point, and some 32p lamb hearts for the animals. Only spent £5.60 as I was food planning on my way around envisioning the freezer foods.:money:

Thanks Giddynmg and PK- just a shame I have to wait until October but he said it would be back paid to April (cant work out why they don't just pay us from April but hey ho!!!) 7 months of £179 is a tasty sum - after tax etc it might be about £500!!!

DS burst my bubble after his great parents evening - has been fighting in school - long chat about it and me being disappointed, punishment issued and accepted with some grace - so lets hope its just a blip!!!

    So my pleasures today!
    1. good work day - lots of reminders about why I do the job I do - I have such great staff who give so much of themselves to the people we care for and their families!!! and I seem to be getting there with some of my plans
    2. A meeting ended up with chief exec and I giggling like naughty school girls - very unprofessional!!! But so funny!
    3. DS accepted punishment with some grace rather than the 'its not my fault and its not fair' rant!
    4. Went to see 'The Theory of Everything' tonight - all I can say is wow - loved it - even kids enjoyed it (did get a lot of glaring looks for daring to take kids into a an adult film!!!) - now DS and I are on a mission to read 'A Brief History of Time'
    5. I love Bear Grylls - why are there no single men around like that!!!
    6. Got an amazing gift from a friend - a personalised diary with pics from FB of my family with birthdays in - so kind and thoughtful!
    7. its Friday and I have wine!
