    Welcome judi :)

My apologies for tantrum last night. I've been given some advice and hope it will cure the bad behaviour of the laptop, in the meantime I'm typing in Open Office and will c/p onto the forum.

    1. Booked myself onto a meditation day run by a friend. After my paddy I think I need it!
    2. Bought a beautiful hand-made dream catcher from above friend which I'm sending to another friend for her birthday
    3. Made a tray of dog biscuits. Didn't have a lot of veg this time but added fruit peelings etc., and ToppyDog loves them
    4. Had a friend in for coffee this morning, we shared a mini bread and butter pud I'd made for the freezer but never got there. Used a slice of the cinnamon bread I made earlier in the week, it was delicious
    5. Decluttered some kitchen shelves and threw away lots of ice cream tubs. I still have some but didn't need all 18 :o
    6. Still no snow so far so I swept up a sack of leaves, the garden looks much tidier now. It doesn't last due to the orchard beyond my garden wall but looks nice for a day or two

    Sweet dreams :)

I had a good day yesterday mainly as I don't work Fridays.

I sorted out all the towels and have cut some old ones up for rags and have some for the RSPCA.
Tidied the garden a bit and sorted out the compost heap.
DS1 came home I think to have a shower and food cooked for him! He was just going to come back to see the rugby.
Met someone new when I walked my dog and had a nice chat.
    Started to meal plan.

I forgot one for yesterday DH was given a jar of homemade marmalade. I have just had some on toast and its lovely.
Also lovely sunny morning, blue sky and frost. I have just come back from a walk and cold but refreshing. There were a few puddles with ice on top and stamping on them and breaking the ice was so satisfying.

VickyA - it was a good win last night and tries for you.

    Welcome judi :hello:

villagelife - I was there last night. Fabulous match, if a teensy bit cold for those people who weren't running around the pitch! ;)

    Pleasures for Friday & Saturday:

    1) Cake went down well at school, BUT the office had forgotten to promote the cake raffle so instead the staff demolished it! Bit narked, but hey I ate cake anyway!

    2) Finished a book! It was a whole 19p on the Kindle from Amazon. Didn't realise until the very end that it was a Mills & Boon book. Always turned my nose up at them, until now! It was great.

    3) Rugby last night. They won and it was amazing. ;)

    4) Received my 2 month trial of the Tastecard, which Martin :money: had mentioned a few weeks ago.

    5) Met up with a friend. The pub we normally meet at was closed and it seems as though the previous landlords had done a midnight flit. Found a lovely pub down the road though. Always tricky to find a pub in a new area - we always visited this particular one as it was half way between her in Bedfordshire and me in Rutland.

    6) Don't suppose anyone heard The Fleas on Dermot's show on Radio 2 this afternoon? If not, you can hear the whole show here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04x0ln0 They'd won a competition to do a cover of "Suddenly" by Angry Anderson which was THE song when Scott and Charlene got married 25yrs ago. They were great - and not just "Suddenly"!

Cup of tea time! Night all. x

    Evening all :)

    Five pleasures for Saturday:

    1. Woke up at 6am and remembered to check outside to see the Met Office's forecast snow before it vanished. It was there and was gone by the time I woke up at a sensible hour just like they said. :)

    2. Snuggled in bed reading on my Kindle for way too long this morning but the bed was lovely and toasty. :D

    3. Got all the business banking up-to-date and to the bank in record time once I began to tackle it. It's been on my 'to do' list for over a week.

    4. Did the food shop, other necessary things shop, topped up the mobile, got fuel for the car etc etc all ready for a (touch wood) no spend week.

    5. Scrambled egg and fried mushrooms for supper. Made a change.

    Sweet dreams

Thank you for the warm welcome - I feel quite at home already!

I have had a very spendy day today and been a bit naughty so this might be a bit of a challenge but here goes:

    1. Did the food shopping - had a list (good!) didn't stick to it (bad!) but did manage to sneak in bottle of Sauvignon Blanc - which was cheap and quite nice!!!

    2. Had to exchange DD3's dress and replacement was £6 cheaper in the sale!

    3. Got gorgeous new dinner service and mugs in said sale for 70% off - now feel very motivated to decorate kitchen to go with them - badly needed - so won't use new stuff until kitchen done - might help me get my *** in gear!!!

    5. Had fantastic fun with DD3, her friend and DS today at big commercial shopping centre (which I generally hate!!!) they had never been - not been brave enough to take DS with his extreme dislike of crazy places and too much choice - he was really good and I managed to talk him down from a stressy almost meltdown - real amazing learning for us both! (about busy noisy places with too much choice!) followed by a fun game of laser quest and a walk round the shops (not buying just looking) with him saying how much fun he had and holding my hand - lots of smiles and giggles on the way home too! Very happy Mum!!!

    5. sipping cheap but tasty wine from 1! While watching Bridget Jones and listening to Doodle snoring and kitty purring!

Lovely Saturday! and loving this thread - need to add a 6!

    6. Lovely welcome from kind people on here!

Right, let's try again, will try to keep it short just in case it disappears
greywitch I hope your comp probs are over
& thank goodness for the tech board, eh?

    1. Lie-in til 9am
    2. made 2 trays of dog biscuits, a bread and butter pudding and prepped the fruit for a fruit salad to take to lunch with friends tomorrow
    3. A friend gave me her step, I'm jiggered! Didn't realise how much more energy it takes than the tm which I use every day, but it's supposed to be good for me
    4. David Attenborough's Conquest of the Skies
    5. No snow. Don't want it as I'm hopefully going to Peterborough area tomorrow, my friend there hasn't got it either so everything x'ed for a clear day.

    Sweet dreams :)
