  • Good morning all !

Frith - Gosh you sound like you have nightmare builders:( - Trading Standards??

Sparrer Aaawhh thank you re my signature. Although I am in real life a size 10 :rotfl:

VJsmum- something must be happening after xmas then ?If you can be a lady wot lunches more often?

mhagster - a new addition how lovely x No EU 48 hour working directive opt out for you then ! You do "sound" like you have settled in Aus too :)

MandM90- well done you re your house deposit ;)

    KK - thank you

PK- I get what you mean around that whole vulture culture thing around the rtc person . I'd get too "punchy" if I was the shop assistant .

    5 for today already

    1. A good nights sleep - my body packs up at the end of my working week.So its nice to feel well rested.

2.Took the dogs out separately in the drizzle around the block. My dog turned into a hackley porcupine as a young man crossed the road rather swiftly to ask me what the time was as he appeared to be late for the school bus. Glad he's protective and a Mummy's boy - the dog not the school boy.

    3. Cleaned out the hen house .Nice new bedding courtesy of the shredder at work.

    4. Taking the pensioner out for lunch (with a voucher of course). If my car doesn't bu**er about.

5.Looking forward to catching up on Pe*ky Bli*ders on iplayer . as fell asleep through first half.:o

Have a lovely day all !

mrsdwhite the chutney sounds yum and I have both to do from the allotment - could I PM you for the recipe - thank you

Apologies Bubbles I've only just seen this post from you.
I'm a newbie to making chutney and pretty much just roughly chopped the courgette and tomatoes, chucked them in the slow cooker with some chopped garlic, and salt. A good glug of balsamic vinegar and white wine vinegar amd some brown sugar.
    I'm afraid I don't have an actual recipe :o
But Google comes up,with loads if you wanted something with actual measurements! :rotfl:
  • We've jumped the red lights, we've shot our bolts. BoP is getting steamed. We're in Cumbria again.

Thanks Frith, glad you liked the review.
Will put together some horsey pics on Photobucket for here but in the meantime, here's my status on FB:
    "An interesting afternoon.
I rode the trike down to Neville Parade (a distance of a bit over a mile) with the intention of putting him in for a service at (local cycle shop). He's got impeccable timing, that trike.
The chainset (big cog attached to right pedal) fell off after 200 yards and either the chain fell off the cog or the chainset itself fell off roughly every 20 yards thereafter all the way down Central Ave, Vane Road and Shafto Way. Pushing with an arthritic left hip wasn't really happening.
Huge thanks to Colin and team at (local cycle shop) for letting me degrease my hands when I finally got there an hour or so later and for their kindness. Colin didn't manage to persuade me to buy a new trike this time, but he has some lovely ones available.
Apologies to anyone who heard the swearing at points on the route and a special mention to the dozy cow who parked her car across the dropped kerb (on a corner, so doubly illegal) just as I'd built up some free-wheeling momentum."

Cant remember now who has the new wheelbarrow for chicken poo - assuming it's the feathered chicken rather than our back to the coop lass!_pale_
Lovely piccies mcc and well done sparrer for your inspirational work
    5 for yesterday
    1) main campus for a change. Had nice coffee to start the day then some colleagues arrived so had a chat
    2) lunchtime meeting with freeeeeee sarnies and tea. Met up with more colleagues - must get down to main campus more often!
    3) then 3 hour meeting rewriting equality and diversity action plan with e&d officer and xoh. Failed totally at ignoring xoh getting texts from new partner :( but we got a lot done action plan wise :T
    4) then off to see sir kenneth calman, 2 other doctors and a poet talking about doctors in books and doctors on books as part of the dundee book festival. One of my students is just finishing off a masters looking at student perceptions of an ssm (student selected module, where medical students get to choose their topic) on medical humanities. Very enjoyable evening and got my history of medical education book signed by ken.
    5) home then took dawgs up to mum's who has 2 friends (one already a friend of mine and one a new friend for me) for an enjoyable end to the day.
