Welcome to the board tumptyteapot , love your No 1, except in my case it's a dog and two cats. Very cosy though
DD sounds like you're having some super travels, Rye and Hastings are very beautiful aren't they?
1. Got the washing on the line by 7.30am
2. Friend came and finished painting the bedroom, and all the doors upstairs. It's so bright on the landing now! The Chinese room has all gone now, have closed the door on that chapter, and the new green and white is a wonderful, fresh and welcoming 'new' room.
3. Made a lunch from odds and ends, cauli cheese, Cumberland sausages and peas, rice pud with cinnamon and sultanas. It smelled a bit like C-word pud
4. A very kind friend brought me some weights which I'm ready for on the tm now
5. One of the mogs and the mutt are sharing the sofa with me, a first. They must be content as they've both fast asleep and couldn't get any closer to each other if they tried. It's good to see.
Sweet dreams0 -
1) planting out kale and purple sprouting broccoli
2) pegging out strawberry runners to root
3) making mushroom soup
4) apples cooked ready to make Eves pudding later
5) going for a walk into town with my 11 year old after lunch
I didn't sleep very well last night so I'm struggling today, it's good to think of pleasures rather than focus on how difficult it all is0 -

Chooo choooooooo!
This weekend....
1. Went to London to my a teaching exhibition, all about foreign languages.
2. Popped to the shops and didn't spend a fortune
3. Met one of my oldest, loveliest chums for dinner.
4. Got back to Paddington and without checking the timetable, was there in good time for a fast train home.
5. The car park cost £1 less than published, woohoo!
6. Bought DD a present.
7. Enjoyed the sunshine both days
8. DD and I went to the tennis courts this afternoon.
9. She's now playing with a chum.
10. I've got lots of ideas for lessons, the children are going to have loads of fun creating their own dragon-themed newspapers
11. Bought a box of choccies for my TA to say thank you for being so lovely.
12. Tomorrow is planned, resourced and waiting for the supply teacher and I'm looking forward to yet another course!0 -

:heartpuls to the lurgy's and others!
5 Bin out training, for something coming soon. Got my eye in good and proper. Get in and all that. See above!!!
Thinks log fires next weekend. BoPsie has not found her ring yet, so is on the fourth day in the shed.
4 Grimsby smoked haddock today, non Icelandic. Will be served with home made Parsley sauce, tatties peas and salad. Followed on with delights of Angels
3 Last night we watched some Old Dads army and an Old Treasure Hunt. Amazing that all just watched Ms Rice, rather than today, be like a rodent paparazzi with the mobile inanimate device!
2 Had to get instruction book for camera out today, as it was on an anti tone mode. Still got it sorted.
1 As if not by magic, it appears my rantings were in the ether.0 -
Ooooh BoP, I do so love the delight of Angels! Mmmm.
Welcome to tumptyteapot!
Not so delighted about my car failing its MOT yesterday.DH noticed at the last minute that he *thought* that the rear number plate would be a failure... needless to say, it was!
Getting it sorted then a free retest on Tuesday. Blinking annoying though. I'm just thankful that I put a little £££ aside each month to take into consideration these little blips.
Had a manic few days, but good ones (other than the MOT failure!). Pleasures herewith:
1) End of harvest meal for my summer job on Friday night. This meant a journey up to near my parents. A free meal for me (we'll discount the petrol required) and as I was driving I was just on water!
2) Saw the Regents Park Theatre production of To Kill A Mockingbird yesterday. I sobbed the whole way through. It was the book I read for my GCSE English all those years ago and still means so much to me. My cat, which died last year at 18yrs old, was called Atticus after the main character. DH was a little confused that Atticus was NOT a black and white cat.Anyway, my parents joined us and thoroughly enjoyed it too.
3) "Free" meal at P*zza Express last night, courtesy of the bank of dad! Well, I'd paid for the tickets to the theatre, so he insisted on paying for supper! :j
4) As ampersand so rightly said, my boys were brave and beat Ulster. Great atmosphere and I always love the fact that all fans are mixed up within the rugby ground. That is, despite the fact that I had "grumpy fan" standing next to me and "screechy fans" standing behind me!!! :rotfl:
5) Entered a competition. The W*itrose vouchers are mine... honest.
6) Shopping with a friend. Picked up the latest John Lewis home catalogue. It'll at least enable me to dream...
7) Said friend then took me to the latest shopping development in that city where there's an A*da Home. I didn't buy anything, but it was great to have a look.
8) Signed up to First Great Western trains website in order to collect Nectar points. Bought a rail ticket for 2 weeks time and it will be delivered free to my door. :j
9) More money payable from TopCashback! :j :j
10) DH has done some of the ironing!
Take care everyone! :wave:Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Hi all, new to the forum though I've lurked this thread a while and thought I'd join in with five of my OS pleasures I enjoyed today:)
1, Making bacon and eggs and tomatoes and enjoying a nice breakfast
2, Morning read of the (online) papers
3, Listening to my Medieval Baebes MP3
4,Getting a great review and five star feedback from one of my clients on one of the copywriting websites I work on
5, Taking a walk to the shops to pick up some bits and enjoying the fresh air
Have fun everyone!0 -
Welcome feisty, yous be welcome here. Just as I have nicely man groomed today, and my beard is well ...
Note to film watchers and BoP has decent flick for yous lot this week. Saw it a hole back, but s an excellent jig. Set is Australia, so & close your eyes.
Bolshevek Broadcastrating Commisariat, BBC1, Thursday morning, at 12:05 am. Charlie & Boots. Think also appropriate for Sparra at this time. Watch and enjoy. Now that will put a filling smile on those who watch. Them whom dont, beard rubs!0 -
Welcome Fiesty:beer:
It’s my last week next week yikes, very glad I seem to have passed through my panicky stage, no emails from Camelot so guess I will have to go in…:o
1. Aches and pains, putting it mildly from yesterday’s housework so we laid in, eventually getting up to fresh bread and some bacon bits:p.
2. Downloaded a film which was lovely.
3. Decided for a change of scenery we would see if the afternoon boot fair was still on and it was but wow it really was full of tat saved money bought nothing.:rotfl:
4. We went on from there over to a foot path we know of which is little used just to walk the animals, ended up with a full bag of chestnuts and a vast bag of windfall apples.:j
5. It was nice to come back to a big tea, put the roast in to cook through, put all the wind falls into soak, prepared potato’s and veggies, made a yorkie pud batter to go with the pork as you do, and I’ve dangerously sat down when I must shift bum and do the apples otherwise I have visions of them going rotten sitting on the side, there’s a lot to get through and peel.:)0 -
