Sense has returned
Ok Jenny sends another round of :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls Now let me continue ad infinitum. There is going to be a rant? Crumpets advanced, buttered with marmite stroked kitty. Pup in boxes, youngsters. Left packet omelette. One egg or two? Supper pie, was that steak or apple. BoP prefers Snake and Snail, for reasons of Ruffiness.
5 Again, I must reiterate my words of yesterday and yawn yawn yawn I know, but I am not going to stop going on about how good Jumbo Organic Oats are for you. Now stoke yourself with them. If there are some amongst the parish whom do not like PORAGE, there are other ways you can take full heartiness, by making your own Oat Biscuits. BoP will assist and search for a recipe for you.
4 Look at the calendar, is October. Remember as mentioned last day by BoP, do not buy any evil product at the emporium this month. Not only that, as Frith also said, do not buy your xmas cards from ATSM either, but your charity. If you deal direct, the fatties in the emporium do not get your pennies, but your good cause does. Keep looking and reporting here your goodness. Keep the emporiums dirty fingers off your pennies.
3 Well that was an absolute breeze last night with Live Scrabble. Getting quite difficult for BoP to do live commentary, think of words, sup wobbleade and removed words that are in the BoP dictionary and not the Chambers Official Scrabble Words List. As usual, the rules, if any, are plaiced nunder the bored. Referral to the rules means a game forfeit. Simple really. Now if we played draughts, things would be different, but over the years, our cats have gradually reduced the number of pieces, such tha BoP still has twelve Black pieces, but BoPsie has only seven white ones. Not biased, but you understand the problems. And afterwards, watched the BBC for ten minutes. Had a programme on about Captain Cook, but this degenerated into some character assassination. So far this year, we have watched 2 episodes of Dr Poo, and some football. Approx cost £25 per hour! Boycott it. Note to editors, BoP ceased watching news at 21:33Z 1982-05-03. It was a Monday. The following day, the reporter was asked, unceremoniously to leave the Wheatsheaf.
2 Day I am back in the winding house at the salt mine. Through the southern window I can see the sky, but the hills are shrouded. As expressed last week, which BoP had off, you have to follow BoP for great days of Yellow.
1 But not in this part of the Parish0 -
PK - very good to see you back.
DFV - happy birthday for yesterday.
Pleasures for yesterday:
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) A grey, soggy morning turned into a lovely, warm, sunny day by lunchtime.
3) Received an email saying I'd won another competition, this one for some preserving stuff (an ideal win for an OSer).
4) Chatting to a member of my employer university's complaints team about my ongoing complaint to the Open University, and hearing her professional opinion that they've treated me really badly and I shouldn't give up fighting them. Complaint has now been duly progressed to the next level.
5) Spotting that some weeds, that I had been planning to pull up and hadn't got around to, have developed flowers and they're not weeds after all - they're snapdragons, which have obviously self-seeded from a neighbour's garden.Back after a very long break!0 -
1. NSD
2. Walked my dog and picked up chestnuts
3. Trout for tea - I had frozen some RTC.
4. Got through work.
5. Caught bus to work.0 -
Thanks CCP, I'm feeling motivated to enter a few competitions as well.
1. Enough was enough clothes wise I did one last haul today. I have a lot more space and know what I have now and discovered 2 more tops. I have 5 bags full of stuff to go:o, and 1 bag that converts to animal bedding, it was very hard but it’s nice to have the space back. Next up is the office, that will take about 2 week’s hard work in a few days’ time.:o
2. It’s really lovely being able to see what clothes I’ve got it will be nice to get variety back.:)
3. Given my previous post I applied for some jobs, some look alright, and I’ve put my cv back out hopefully people will pick it up in a few days and I’ll feel a bit more with it as well.
4. I feel loads better than I did, I’ve been able to make some food, move about and get some fresh air in the garden. I wanted to try and get back in the office tomorrow to earn the pennies but I can’t do the commute just yet.:(
5. Pasta bake for dinner.
6. I really want to make a hummingbird cake, but I have a sneaky suspicion it won’t look like “Jamie’s”, if I half the sugar and half the banana’s, and use walnuts instead of pecans…etc, etc…:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Toddler tantrums are not a pretty thing to witness in grown woman
. Glastonbury tickets sold out in 15 minutes, and none for J and me
. Next chance is the general sale on Sunday - but that is a longer shot.
Anyhow there are some pleasures
1 had a soak in the bath and a face pack
2 had a facebook convo with DD, she has made more friends and Is happy. We are not hearing tons from her, which I am taking as a good sign
3 dyed a very Faded jacket and it seems To have worked well
4 yummy salmon for tea
5 looking out of my window at the beautiful leaves (until they all fall on my lawn and I have to pick Them up)
Have a good night allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Thank you all for hugs and kind words, I hope that things are getting better for all who need a bit of a turn of fortunes.
DFV belated birthday wishes!
Here are my pleasures for today:
1. Feeling better, coming to terms with stuff I cannot change.
2. Nice shopping trip using £10 off a £40 spend in w8rose. Got lots of bargains so the shopping was doubly bargainous.
3. Good bootcamp this morning. Starting exercising again makes me feel better and am managing a 100% swap, babysitting against bootcamp, so no money need to change hands.
4. Amazing crop of cucumbers, some runner beans, lots of squashes and a few kohl rabi from the allotment, in spite of not giving it almost any care this year.
5. Made and ate a lovely dinner, the family also loved it. Hm vege burger (beans, grated carrot and onion, instant mash and spices) with steamed carrots and caraway buttered cabbage. Also a few fermented veg that I made the other day gave it more colour and zing. It cost pennies but was utterly delicious.
Good night. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
1. Woke up dead on 8am
2. Spoke to a few parents and was pleased when a staff member said I'm good at talking to them
3. A baby who was in the baby room was giggling when he saw me on the bus stop (he was his mum)
4. was happy to find out I had nice hours in a bank staff job next week
5. finding out that I know where next week is and that it is near to meNSD 3/25 | SA: £38.00 | EF: 38.130 -
Good evening everyone :hello:
PK - great that you're out of hospital and on the mend.
Very quickly I'll share my pleasures for today:
1) Another NSD! :j That's two in a row. Sadly, I'll have to spend tomorrow as I need to top up with petrol. No petrol = not being able to get to work.
2) Jamie Oliver's salmon with pesto for supper, from his Ministry of Food book. It's one of our favourite suppers.
3) Charity bag for our local air ambulance has popped through the door. I was beginning to think that I needed to do a CS donation, so this is a great excuse.
4) Realised that I have more meals in the freezer than I thought. I am giddy with excitement as I'm trying to make our monthly budget streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetch further. Think it might start well on the first week of October at least! 1 day in....
5) Penultimate week of the Great British Bake Off. I don't think I'll be on any series in the next decade. They're all so super talent.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

4) then got stand-by hair cut. £15. Very pleased with it but did show up my roots

Evening all.
Five pleasures for Wednesday:
1. Managed to reduce massively the black marks on the butcher's block by the kitchen taps. Have stuck on a first wiping of oil but I think it may take 4 goes, 6 hours apart. The recommended three didn't seem quite enough on my test piece. Still, it's very cheering be able to make something look so much better myself and not have to pay someone else to do it.
2. Bake Off on iplayer.
3. Spending some time chatting with DS1 who came home mid-afternoon unexpectedly. He's been so terribly busy recently that there's been little time to sit and talk.
4. Heard about 'World Ballet Day 2014' being streamed today live from five different companies round the world. Allowed myself to have the Royal Ballet in morning class on in the background. That was very evocative from my youth and just lovely. One of the nicest things was seeing one of the female dancers doing barre well on into her pregnancy. That baby must be having so much fun!
5. NPD.
Sweet dreams
