A quick additional pleasure.....not sure that getter pooped on by a possum was one of them! We were out our evening walk and looking up at the possums and it pooped on my hand!

Anyway, our pup breeder posts new photos each week and updates us ....they've had their vaccines and been microchipped ....all did well apart from our boy! He had to have extra cuddles and is going to be a mummy's boy! It made us all go aaaaawh!

Right that's my day off done and dusted, off to bed ! Night all :)
  • Hi everyone!

I've been absent for a wee while.I was away on holiday. So,back home now,and pondering on the last few days.

    -we're having sunny,warm-ish days.That's a big plus.

-sleeping in my own bed again and snuggling into the duvet.I need it now.

-lots of chatting with and stroking of puddy AKA foxychops.

-eating warm potato scones with butter.

watching Desperate Housewives again -from the very beginning. There were a few series that I don't have.I managed to buy them very cheaply secondhand.

    -eating my own tomatoes.

I hope that you are all well.I've got a bad cold, and am feeling pretty miserable.Hopefully I'm over the worst.
    Happy Sunday.
  • 1. Harvesting 12 Pak Choi from the veggie patch with the help of DD, who is nearly 2 years old, and kept squealing "My pick blackberries!" A bit confused but very excited.

    2. Using those Pak Choi to make up a tonne of stir fry mix for the freezer which will make a few week day nights much easier.

    3. DS has been entertained all day by lovely neighbour. It's her son's birthday and they've been in the garden playing party games all afternoon.

    4. A nap! I am pregnant so I have an excuse to have a lovely afternoon nap on days DH is at home.

    5. DH found out he is mostly on earlies at work next week so I get him home for tea and fewer evenings on me own.

    1) A lie-in this morning, to make up for the one I didn't get yesterday.

    2) Chatting on the phone to my DF and hearing him enthusing about the birthday present I bought him (a selection of traditional British cheeses - yum!).

    3) An indulgent afternoon snack of scone with cream and strawberry jam.

    4) Finally gave up on OS remedies and used a bottle of store-bought sink unblocker,so the water now runs away rather than sitting in the sink for ages every time I wash my hands.

    5) Chicken Kiev for dinner (thanks for the inspiration, mhagster :T), with veggies in some of the pesto from yesterday's herb course.
Back after a very long break!

    1) Comforted my DD2 who was having terrible nightmares last night, fell asleep by her and woke up to a smiling face.

    2) Made messy cheese scones (spooned mix into cake tin - extra cheese on top) and some Lemon Curd buns with the little ones,

    3) Spent an hour with DD1 looking at Pinterest for Halloween and Christmas craft ideas, pinning some that we could do to to a board for later.

    4) Roast dinner, yum

    5) Pinned an old shower curtain up to the bathroom window to make it dark for this evening, so I could have a candlelit bubblebath.
DD1 is in there now having a shower... feels like December already haha!
    Wishing you all good luck!

Hoorah for lovely weekends like this one has been :)

Sending happy and excited thoughts to lovely sparrer for tomorrow xx :)

    1. Sunshine both days!

    2. DD had a great time at her first tennis lesson yesterday and 2 of her great friends are in her class, which was a lovely surprise.

    3. I got some marking done whilst she was whacking balls around the court.

    4. We went to a historical venue's open day and bumped into 3 of my lovely children from school. We even did some Tudor dancing with one of them and her family :) I'm hoping she'll volunteer to write a news report about her day to share with the rest of the class...if not, I'll move on to the other 2 :)

    5. Child 1's mummy was lovely, she said Child 1 has come home from school happy and excited each day this week :) I admitted that I have too!

    6. After almost losing the will to live trying to find DD some trainers in a sports emporium (not my natural habitat by any means....) we ended up in Co$tco and found just the pair at a lower price than elsewhere :) The other week's new trainers have already been relegated to PE bag status! (That was why we went to the shops today....ah well, so long as she has something decent on her feet with all that running around she does!!)

    7.
Feeling happy and rested and looking forward to the week, especially my PPA day on Tuesday :):):)

    Evening all :hello:

A massive load of love to sparrer :j :j :j

What a lovely weekend! Full of pleasures, though I'm now a little tired...

    1) Went to a local food festival. Sister-in-law was playing in a concert band there & so we bumped into the niece and nephew too.

    2) Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiivine hog roast for lunch yesterday and the freezer is stocked with pies from local lovely pie makers.

    3) Friends popped in for a cuppa. Great to see them.

    4) Day with friends we hadn't seen for ages (mainly due to me being rubbish!). Spent the day at the coast - I snoozed for much of the way home. Can't be doing with sea air AND a glass of wine for lunch. :o

    5) Planning all done! Phew.

I'm yawning like mad here. I think I'd better make DH a cup of tea. Night all

Thank you so much! I'm mentally and physically drained but just wanted to pop in to thank you for your support, you're all so amazing, and caring, as always. Will update after a longggggg sleep, but suffice to say my DD, DGD2 and 'new' DGD1 have have a hugely emotional day, full of tears, laughter, love, many, many hugs, lots of hand-holding and masses to share with each other. Next week I meet my three great-grandchildren - it feels so surreal to say that!

Night night, sweet dreams my dear 5OS friends :)
