These are mine for today -

    1) NSD - under any circumstances, and DD1 has already moaned that she wants money to go to town. I wrote her a list of stuff she can do in her room to gain access to number 2 - which she likes the idea of.

    2) Nan gave us one of those hot plate type cake making machines she never used with removable plates. Found and printed off the PDF recipe book so the children can play this afternoon under the guidance of DD1

    3) Printer is admittedly on its last legs, the black inkwell is jammed and we need to face facts, its very old and needs replacing soon.. rather than waste the ink that will print.. (colours - minus the black) I am printing off a ton of full page family photos to laminate and make into dinner placemats for fun - as well as printing the above recipe book

    4) The little ones are tasked with toy check ready for Christmas, everything is being gone through - to find missing bits / establish what we can pass on, what bits need recycling/skipping. They are being rewarded with number 2 - and seem to be doing well.

    5) Number 2 should provide the treats for our movie/homemade popcorn evening I am going to have with the children.

Just a homely day, but feeling nice - also burning a Yankee candle I was given as a present, I could never justify buying them myself and felt it was time to use it rather than just look at it. Its Vanilla Cupcake, and smells divine.
    Wishing you all good luck!

Have a lovely day tomorrow sparrer xx

Well it's Sunday morning, my one and only day off until next Sunday ,so I'd better make the most of it. I'm absolutely knacked!

I wasn't looking forward to going to work yesterday but it actually was fine.

Drove there and back, me on my own at early o'clock and with DD2 on the way home.

Went out for late lunch ( maybe even Brekkie as I'd had nothing all day) / dinner as I was stuffed afterwards. I had chicken Kiev which I've not had in years and it was schlurpalicious !

Did an aldi shop for groceries this week.

Went a nice walk with OH, we saw a tawny frog mouth bird, sitting so still in the dark. Also saw a mummy possum with her baby, we stopped and watched them for a few minutes, then as we came home we had a possum in our tree.

Snoooooooozed on sofa ( others may say I snorrrrrrred on sofa! But I would disagree!)

Potatoes and radishes have been planted by OH

Right I'd better get on and make the most of my day, it looks bright enough outside and hopefully warm enough to be out and about.

Ooh hello it's me back again with my Sunday pleasures....brought to you today from the back porch with the birds tweeting and singing away ....lovely, sun's gone round the side of the house and we will be dark in an hour or so but it's been a lovely Spring day :)

This morning I woke at silly o'clock and was going to get up and watch Casualty....just as well I dozed off again as it wasn't on!

Washings on and out and back in again and my ironing fairy has ironed it all....I think she's just procrastinating about studying, she has BIG exams next month.

Went for late brunchy/ breakfast . I had a BLT with my weekly bread allowance!

Home and out in the garden for most of afternoon. Did a bit of pruning and a bit of planting and transplanting, it was very pleasantly warm. Emptied ye olde vintage wheelbarrow of its plants and put new soil in ( bought on offer this morning at supermarket) and have planted lettuce, tomato ,spring onion and nasturtium seeds....hoping for salad with Christmas lunch!
Planted pea seeds. Planted some herbs in my herby area at washing line.

Wandered up to local cafe and had a piece of cake using my weekly sugar allowance .....far too sweet for me now! ( yet, I still persevere) we sat outside which was nice.

Then we went to an extortionate pet supplies shop. Looking for a dog bed....how much? Nah! Then went to B/Q type place ....for said herbs and they had dog beds for 66% less!! Got an indoor one and an outdoor one ( raised so beasties don't get in!) bought a herb pot RTC at $3 , "oh do you not want to buy the last one remaining? " asked the assistant, nah, it's got a chip on it.....bought for $2 ....about a pound!
Also bought an RTC tray/ trug/ box type thing that I thought was just one but there were two, kind of 'vintage' look that I like ,with writing on the side. So well chuffed with that buy! They are now living in the back porch.

Home, swept up garden mess and finally sat on backside for half an hour!

OH has just gone in to make spag Bol for dinner, I'm going to quickly Hoover, clean bathrooms and then collapse in a heap before doing it all again tomorrow!

Have a fabulous Sunday , CCP looking forward to hearing about your herby day and sparrer have a lovely day x
  • Sparrer - enjoy yourself and have a great day.

Not many pleasures but here are some

    1. Washing machine broken beyond repair but have known that it was going to happen over last few months so have ordered one to arrive Monday so not a long wait and DS2 is home ad can wait in for it.

    2. Took DS1 back to uni to start his masters- he is feeling ill and was hard leaving him unwell in a flat with people he doesn't know. But nice clean (at moment) flat and he has large room. Good part was after taking him out and dropping him off a flatmate called him over to the pub outside the flats. He had only met him when they looked round the flats.

    3. Had to buy bits for DS1 and DS2 for uni but all from one shop luckily and for less than I thought.

    4. Given some more apples.

    5. Chat with neighbour after his dog came to find me while I was cleaning the kitchen floor! Neighbour was very apologetic but we do have holes in the fence.

That was more positive than I thought - this thread is good for you and does make you look for positives.

    My pleasures for yesterday:

    1) A lovely drive through the Hampshire countryside to my herb course. I got a bit off course at one point and ended up in an interesting-looking little town which is now on my 'to investigate further' list.

    2) Herb course was brilliant - I was the most knowledgeable of the attendees so got given guide duties a couple of times when the person running the course was busy, but still learned loads.

    3) Came away with jars and bottles of herb oils / vinegars / salts / sugars / butters, plus recipes to make more, two new herb plants and some seeds for next year. :j

    4) Was given different directions to get home, which meant it took me 20 minutes less than getting there had done.

    5) Lunch was included and was delicious but very vegetable-based and healthy, so I figured I could treat myself to pizza and wine for dinner without too much guilt. ;)
Back after a very long break!
  • Sparra day, :heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls

5 Just bin to the W8Rz and they are indeedy paying BoP now to shop there. This weeks shop came in, quite expensively at £28:90. Absolutely shocking, well up from our norm of £25. In fact I am in line to writing to them as well. Now we got pork pies, £6 worth of Atlantic, non Icelandic, natural smoked haddock! Mince, for shepherds pies for the months. Cat food. BoPsie got her cleansing items as well! Tow packets of delicious biscuits and salad, carrots for the Shepherds pies. Saving were over £17 and offers. Got that Mr T, the equivalent shop at your rip off pad, online just done, cam in at £53.21p. Keep away from ASTM

4 We is all with the Sparra :heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls

3 Given up with Dr Who. Watched the Falcon in danger and in Mexico last night. The is some real dastardly peoples out there, so be carful at all times.

2 Had a fantastic Dog Day Saturday yesterday, and still to come around 12 on the clock, two more dog rolls with onions to be wolfed down with a quart ...

    1 :heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls (Well to Sparra)
