Waves hello to strangers in our midst CCP and VJsmum!
sparrer that is amazing news , hope all goes well but I'm sure it will.
Not sure if I can rustle up 5 but shall have a go, worked a 10 hour shift today and I'm quite cream crackered !
So, whilst I got wet walking to train station, it was just pouring rain and not the absolutely torrential rain of 10 minutes before! Wore my Scottish cagoule for the first time in Australia!
Work was workety and went on forever...or for 10 hours!
Not long to wait for a train and managed to squeeze on a seat.
Chips for tea!
Watching GBBO
That's all! Have a good one0 -
A league of their own.
Anotehr for DD to interrupt. Oh, and well done getting on the CoMitty. Is only a hundred years since they played on and the public schools stopped playing. Now where was I. Apols DfV for not having the event live.
5 Just checked those vouchers from Crapco’s T. I have to spend £30. Dear oh dear, currently ours stands at around £25. Well done to the computer that sees all at the emporium, notices that BoP no shop there. Your enticement is amounts to 10 seconds of flame, or approximately 0.25 BTU. The flame may look prettier. Gone all scientistic today! In fact get in the kitchen and feel the heat. Cooking on gas last night, from the £25 shop at emporium, not ASTM, was mackerel kedigree. Not kedgeree, as it contains no haddock, smoked naturally from Fish Dock No:1. Two fillets of mackerel, shoped. Bits of left over onion, toe nail style. Peas. Termites, Chilli, coriander and garam masala. Oh, and boiled long grain rice. Now, here is a tip from BoP. If BoP had used the voucher from Mr T, instead of getting the benefit of its calorific value (you learn stuff with BoP!) and that sham basmuppet rice, at more than 4 times the price! Boil and drain rice. Put knob of butter in pan, ours is still dated 11 April! Bruise the onions away, then add the chopped mackerel, peas. Add spinach to taste. Add turmeric and spices to taste. When fired, add rice, rush and brush some parsley in. Then add whisked egg with bit of milk. Cook till ready. Serve with salad. Cheap, and not overpriced at the emporium
4 At Salt Mine, the proletariat are still running the show. Three gaffers are down. Ours is missing, another down and the head honcho is in Greece. The rats are running the plaice now, even the doors are off their hinges. Still, we, the hard pressed have been offered a Christmas do, turkey and all that. And we are not telling the bosses! Mind you I said afore, that after a week, I had not known anyone comeback after the pocket rocket had been strayed, but in fact there is one, then again his was different and … It was a good 6 months and a trip! My record is ten months! On about pockets and rockets …
3 Last night we snoggled up on sofa to watch a Stewart Granger classic. Footsteps in the fog. Dastardly was the late Mr Granger! Real dastardly. I do not think it was true though as was in Technicolor. Datsrdly so much, I think I gave BoPsie too many ideas, but it is one thing BoP likes, the stiory is contained in its entity, not some celeb sham, that is ever bending.
2 And Raffles. CCP back and Raffles was soooo spooked by something last eve. Jumped over fence, back into plaza, then upstairs, then down again. No problem though, he is still off his Whiskas cat food! CCP, feather balls, we have a feather duster that drives Raffles wild. Though, some days he brings home his own feathers.
Note to editors, normal patios are 8 fut by 6. BoP’s patio is hugemengeous!

Am back from holiday and had a great time.
1. Swimming often by myself in a swimming pool which was lovely - DH watched it was too cold for him.
2. Great weather
3. Good food - cooked quite alot but no pressure over timings or being tired after a day at work.
4. Feeling relaxed.
5. Talking with DH without interruptions.
But did develop severe shoulder pain for last couple of days and been sufferring with it since - due for an injection tomorrow for it.
Since been home DS1 and 2 have been helpful and cooked for me.0 -
Good evening everyone :hello:
Nearly the weekend, thank goodness!
My pleasures:
1) Left work early (just after the children had gone) as I needed to pop to the bank to pay in a cheque - how old fashioned! If I leave school at my "normal" time, then it has been closed for 1.5hrs.
2) £3.19 withdrawn from my TopCashBack account! :j :j
3) It's Red Tractor Week next week and I've found this recipe. Wondering whether it's cold enough to make it....
4) Received some vouchers to spend at W@itr0se - quite a decent saving too. :j
5) Found some small gifts in Wilk0s on 3 for 2, which I can put in my prize box for the cherubs. As a big bonus, they're dice which double up as rubbers. We've been playing loads of mathsy games recently requiring dice (roll a dice, multiply by 10, add and how fast can you reach 1000). I'm hoping that they will understand the unsubtle hints and choose the dice/rubber to go home and play the game. It seems that some of them don't have board games (therefore no dice) at home.
Really need to get the ironing board out.... Not looking forward to it.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

So with just one more day of my 6 day working week to go...here are my Friday pleasures:
Woke up early rather than being rudely awoken by alarm clock ( don't like that!)
Hung a washing outside, bunged another lot in machine ready for when I came home and went for the train.....ooooooh it was pulling into the station so I had to run!
Productive but not overly busy morning at work, out the door at 12.50pm...see ya!
Must just have missed a train but if I hadn't I would have missed a very bizarre episode of my life....sitting waiting on train ( for 17 blooming minutes!) when a group of about 10 people started serenading me / dancing around me / drumming! They apologised for invading my space but they had been set a challenge to sing and dance on a train! They then all came in the carriage I was on and started singing and dancing...then moved on to another carriage!
Bought a lovely light grey jacket in salvos for $8 ( about £4)
Then met up with boss for coffee and chat about work. Looks like we have a new cook....me! Seems the sensible suggestion for now. The one I had in for a trial can't really do weekends! So we now look for a good barista/ all rounder to replace me out the front and I get to finish work at 1pm! ( yes!) but will have to work on a Saturday( finish at 2pm) ....this probably won't be forever ( she hopes!) but it seems the best solution at the moment) I've been in kitchen past 3 weeks and actually don't mind it as much as I did before, we will make some menu changes to reduce stress/ wastage.
Nice walk home in the afternoon sunshine.
Just waiting on my lovely OH coming home and then we are off out for some Thai food and a proper catch up.....I've been zonked on sofa most of this week at night.
Have a fabby Friday0 -
Firewood
Swimming Pools, Dumplings, but a waste of ale. Lights! DD surviving, work on that CoMitty there, change of being Madame Chairmain! Note to arbritrators, BoP is not correct, never will be and has even been on a correction therapy session Only the painkillers keeping you tired!!!! Oh do come on now!!!!
I do say, I think it was Donald Duck
5 Now, as emporium Crapco vouchers arrived via snail mail this week, and have had the calorific value exhausted since, Messers W8Rz come in with their offer. Spend £40 get a £10 offski. Now what has I told you lot about ASTM? Every little hurts!! BoPsie is out at the moment liquidating the vouchers! No, not really but Sunday must! We are going to get loads of toads for much very not!
4 Dids me talk at the Club Camera last evening, and managed to not only get away with it, but also had a jar of wobbleades as well. Good to get in swing again and again. Loads happening soon.
3 BoP motor is in repair this very day, just needs a new pipe to be able hit the streets again.
2 Not at the mine today. Working from home. And I mean working gals. Loads to do and do you know, please no telling gaffer, it was all done in no time at all.
Reports that BoP has endured a relapse at the wobbleade centre are dismissed. Again, please exercise extreme caution following BoP activities.
1 Look good, feel good, do good.
BoP Question of the day.
Now as explained earlier, BoPs yard has a plaza and it is also covered in gravel and stones. saves on mowing, and also saves the planet as no CO2 is churned out as the cuttings decay Now the shed, roof of which that Raffles sun baits on, has path back to plaza. Why does Raffles, walk on the paving slabs, back to the plaza and then on the path to the studio, rather than across the stones!! Must hurt his paws!
Furious as we have to know0
