Afternoon
DD - Happy Birthday for yesterday
Mhagster - Hope you feel better today
Ampersand - Your unplug everything made me smile, I worked with IT technicians for a few years and have heard that happen once or twice
I did post last night but lost post as our internet at home was also playing up so here goes again
1. Another NSD as took breakfast and lunch with me to work. Porridge with mystery freezer fruit (think it was apple and blueberry) and pasta , pesto and some roast veg that again were lurking in the freezer.
2. DD paid up what she owed plus gave me the money so I could do her online bus pass before I had done it. She also gave me some money to put into her savings account, good girl hoping she keeps this habit up.
3. The spider made another appearance this time at a sensible hour and on the landing ceiling. OH kindly gave it a sky diving lesson out of the bathroom window so we could all get some sleep.
4. Tasty and easy to prepare dinner of Chicken and Cashew Nut Chowmein for dinner.
5. Nice chat with DM on phone, they are currently visiting SIL and offspring so was good to catch up with their news. DN who went off the rails a bit before and after DB died has really settled down and is waiting the results of a medical before he joins the RAF. Very proud as has been through a lot but turned his life around and turned into someone that his dad would be very proud of. Swallows lump in throat.
Hugs to all who need them or just want one.0 -
I don't know what happened, but I understood, BoP!!! :eek:0

1. We also went to Henley, sparrer
2. Yummy lunch using a voucher naturally, at PizzaE. Had a delicious salad with goat cheese
3. Tasted different goat cheeses whilst wandering around the lovely market. Didn't buy any as no fridge available...
4...as we went on to Cliveden to see George's Marv Medicine
5. Also bought some fab-looking maths and science bits in Hoxfam at amazing prices. Have kept the receipt just in case I can claim the cost back from school....
6. We had fun getting lost, and the borrowing a map, in the maze at Cliveden
7. The play was really good, and we all cheered the British weather for not raining on us0 -
Good evening, here's me today:
1. The plumber turned up again and now we have a plumbed in kitchen sink! Seeing the light at the end of the long, kitchenless tunnel!
2. Lunch with my friend, we both loved the goats cheese, had a salad and roasted pepper and hummus too.
3. 3 hours work on friend accounts, spreadsheet is working and April is done. And a bit of cash in my pocket!
4. The electrician turned up with the samples of plug and switch plates, we chose them and he assured us he will come to finish the job next week. (Crossing fingers!).
5. Dinner was 70% our own produce.
Good night. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Evening everyone :hello:
Well, what a busy day at school. Not a huge class, but I'd forgotten how exhausting it is to be nice all day. I don't find it tricky, but during the hols I could rest when I wanted to!
Added to that, a friend has nominated me in the ice bucket challenge thing. I don't mind donating to charity, I don't mind having fun.... but.... Well, I don't know. I suppose the people that these charities help don't ask to have motor neurone disease or cancer and would far rather not have these diseases.
There are pleasures though:
1) Using my new, free, insulated cup for my required coffee! I seem to be calling it a "sippy cup" which is making my TA chuckle.
2) Sausages with HM tomato and courgette stew for supper, all the way from the freezer. Yummy. Had a dollop of DH's HM beetroot chutney on the side too!
3) A friend has sent me some ideas for my "Bake Off" club on a Friday afternoon in school. Fab!
4) Have been updating the school website. Still REALLY proud of it!
5) Realised that tomorrow night is the first match of the rugby season which I'm able to attend! :j :j

1. took muttley to DD for a mani/pedi, his claws do grow quickly and it saves me paying £15 at the 'pet parlour'. Also made an appt for him to see the vet on Monday as he has a grass seed in his paw, I have a credit with the vet so hopefully it won't cost very much
2. Took some old towels for the dogs, and the black velvet cape for DGD2, she loves it and the oils and brushes I took at the same time. A successful delivery
3. a neighbour's DD is having quite a few bits and pieces, including a rather beautiful rug which has the designers signature woven into the pattern. It's very beautiful and we all love it but doesn't match anyones decor so I'm pleased we've found a good home for it
4. a good sunny, breezy day so managed to get lots of washing dry in the garden
5. recently wrote a ref for someone who hasn't long been in the fellowship but is doing well, delighted to hear today that they got the position they'd applied for. Good to see people moving forward after a long struggle back to health.
Back along the mways tomorrow. I do hope when everything is settled that DB and I stay as close as we've become over the last few months.
Sweet dreams0 -

2) went to dentist to take part in 2nd round of research. Cos it wasn't my normal appointment got a fiver travel expenses despite bus being only £1.90

Morning
Pleasures for yesterday,
1. Rubbish newspaper bought but the vouchers that wanted are all cut out ready for shopping on Saturday morning. Also reminded friend as I used to buy her a copy when we worked in the same office.
2. Lovely thank you card off friend for her baby shower gifts.
3. Needed some air at lunch time so popped into town and had free tea and cake in John Lewis, very nice it was as well. Also picked up some of the deodorant that OH uses as on less than half price and did DD's banking for her.
4. Washing dried on line - last of OH's work stuff ready to hand in today as is his last day.
5. Learning to be able to read while on the bus when stuck in traffic, this always used to make me feel a bit ill but am getting used to it now which is a plus as makes the time spent stuck more palatable.
Hugs to all who need them0
