BoP - it was the best of 3 wot done me in, I was magnificent in game 1, thrashed her soundly, and then foolishly thought I might be able to replicate my success once or even twice more....

Wasn't even going to start here,
Piracy was evil, not some kind of Hollywood adventures. Did not set foot on the ship, as I cannot be associated with evil.
BUT c'mon Good Pirate bop......not only UNLICENSED USE of Mornington Cresent Rules, but also Invitation to Treat...expect that knock on the door.

Then butterfly and mhags ganging up on world arachnids, both hemispheres!....

    1. For last 2 days & has had no net. Mon, felt v. pleased to regain via restore point. Same didn't work today. So it's been 6hrs+phone+primus. Incomplete as yet, so a ? on techie thread looms.......and wretched gas inspecty man has NOT come as booked. Rang. No appt shows. & is still receiving letters thus: 'An Engin &&&&' and 'Dear An Engin &&&&', which remains crass.

    2. Another '90p off next shop' womble to use.

    3. Shawl has met quota of 28 multi-patterns, but I'm adding a few more.

    4. Andy won! It was a tough, tough listen. No wonder I kept having to unpick[lots of atd counting required per row].

    5. Bagpuss :Ahad a lovely rainy beach day yesterday :Tbut seems to have forgotten a certain number of :whistle:REQUESTS  for candyfloss.

Tealady - very much liked you being on strike:D. Wonder if vjm feels the same re:mil. Damp camping in Wales will surely summon the best from everybody in close confines.

  • & Having dropped food parcels on fit ants 30 years ago in Ethiopia. Having seen a comrade in arms lose his kid brother. Anything that is dark or evil I do not support.

This week my Buck of Face is full of sheep following a dog and a bucket activity. Me. I am a sheepdog. Old and wise. We are all individual. Look in the mirror. We are unique. Why do we have to act like someone else.

    Evening

    Pleasures for today,
    1. Porridge with fruit for breakfast (think fruit was apple and blueberries, was lurking in the freezer)
    2. Lunch was also freezer fare but butternut squash soup though I did buy a baguette to go with it
    3. LSD only spent 35p on baguette
    4. Horrible journey home from work with lots of traffic, a broken down bus and yet more traffic. The pleasures being I had my kindle to read while bus not moving and OH cooked dinner.
    5. DD had a spider in her room which made an escape so she tidied her room in the hope of capturing it. Must remember this for future room tidying incentive.
    6. DD paid up her housekeeping money without a reminder. She is only paying a very nominal amount at the moment and we will look at it properly when she starts getting paid properly at her new job. She doesn't like paying up but I think she needs to know the value of money. The money went into the sealed savings tin.

Hugs to all who need them

    1. Things come in threes - my neighbour saw a massive eight-legged thing (can't type the name of it) in her bedroom, a friend had one on her balcony, I've been waiting for No.3 because it would be just my luck to get it. Thank you so much for your No.5 Tealady, it's a real pleasure (for me) to know No 3 has been spotted! I'm phobic about the things, it's not unusual for me to sleep in the lounge for 3/4 nights if I've seen one upstairs :(.
    2. I took apart and cleaned all the photo frames on the sideboard, they're gleaming now and all the family members in them look much happier ;)
    3. nsd/npd, thanks to the weather
    4. Holby City
    5. Early night by my standards as going with DB in the morning to do some more clearing of DM's home

    Sweet dreams :):)

    1. Our lovely friendly mechanic serviced my car and it came in under budget, only a replacement fan belt needed (at my request) so that...

2...after nearly 5 years of ownership, it no longer squeaks in the rain! :)

    3. I've moved things around in the study/sewing room to suit mummykins and I'm sure in time I will enjoy my new working location....at least it's making me dust off my USB mouse and keyboard, so putting them to good use again?!?

    4. The mechanic found the packet of samphire I had 'lost' in the car so it has now gone in the bin after being somewhere in the car for a week or so. I'm such a slob! At least it was a YS pack of samphire ;)

    5. I remembered my logon for my credit card so have been able to pay it in good time.

    6. I was feeling grumpy and in desperate need of an abode of our own earlier this evening, and so put £10 into my NLottery account, bought 4 tickets then did an online scratchcard and won £5 so am £3 up on the purchase. Sensibly took the winnings out and will put the rest down to silliness (unless I win, lol).

    7. Our doggykins - I think he could sense my grumpiness, and so has spent the evening lying near me in 'protection mode', ie facing outwards. Bless his little furry chops!

I'm feeling much less grumpy now, think a couple of glasses of wine has helped and DD's big hugs when I let her know I was in neeeeeeeeeeeeeed!

    Quick pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) A few phone calls from sons.

    3) Off to town for a cup of tea with my friend.

    4) Off to Malvern for the better charity shops. A woolly cardie, a top, a cafetiere for bigger son who likes coffee (I don't) and an ancient concertina for me!!!

    002-3.jpg

    5) I can knock out a tune on a concertina now!!!!!

    6) Holby City.

    7) A phone call with another school friend.
