    Here's me for today:

    1. Bootcamp in lovely weather

    2. Got a quote for rendering the horrid pebbledash at back of house, accepted it and commissioned work to start in September. Expensive but has to be done!

    3. Shopping outing with DS and DD

    4. On our return, cup of tea and homegrown beans, and homegrown lettuce and pears at DD's flat

    5. Special offer fish and chips, 2 sufficient for DS, DH and myself

    Good night.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    1. Still in the glow of cinquante-et-un points, [also &'s fave pastis, 'comme un poisson dans l'eau' dit le pub]à vingt........could you repeat that please, in strine? Yeah, we walloped yiz, fefty-wahn twennie.

    2. On we seamlessly pass to:

    -and another Jolly Big Number SOIXANTE:j:j:j , à dix-neuf.
Atop the Super 14 are we ce soir. Did I say we won 60-19?

3...while listening to terrific seesaw T20 Blast cricket final. Freddie's hitting successive sixes. No stick-o-rhubarbs are being hurt in his bash. Ooooh, 13 to win off 5 balls....now 8 to win, 2 balls remaining....but not quite. Last 2 balls weren't to Freddie, sadly.

    4. Just in, after close of day in one of &'s Watch Sunset hideaways. Big vermillion tonight, grey-fringed by distant rain curtains. Bunnies galore, big and small, also 5 leverets and one massive big hare daddy, mistaken for muntjac at first! All belting about, racing through the stubble, while dear little bunnies stayed safer around the edges, hedge harbour close by.

    5. Earlier still, stop at CS and grand catch-up with K, peppered with usual dry anecdotes, a.k.a. lovely gossip. Some quirky bits. V, pleased with 3 bottles of rosewater. Use it and fleur d'oranger quite often in recipes.

    6. Even earlier still, only 4 no-more-books from joint grounds of St J&St C's Pop-Up Afternoon Teas+stall.

    7. GBBO on i-player or AB's on youtube? Not difficult. Gloat bloat should be cause for shame and remorse - not yet:D:rotfl:

    8. 1st earlies, like tatoes, was inviting neighbour's grand-daughter[8] in to pick rhubarb, use my opinel knife[which she loved. Her orange nail polish exactly matched handle colour. I like children to use knives, cherish/own good ones, young] She trimmed off the leaves, composted them, now knows why and took back a kg, ditto raspberries.

    Bonne nuit:)

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Getting up after almost no sleep!

    2) Another shower.

    3) Cooked breakfast.

    4) Went into Stratford and spent an hour rowing on the Avon. (Actually, I didn't do any rowing, I watched small boys doing the hard work!)

    5) Found a geocache.

    6) Went round the Butterfly Farm.

    7) Packed lunch outside the theatre then had a look round inside and sons tried on the clothes actors wore in the past.

    8) Lots of games of hide and seek in the garden.

    9) Curry for tea.

    10) Everyone here (there must be 20+ families), all pouring in at 7.45 and using every available TV to watch Dr Who! ETA - one family had brought Dr Who homemade biscuits with them - they must have made about 100 because everyone had some!

    11) Sons asleep now so I can't move from my bunk so on the laptop.

It's still sounding like a brilliant time being had, Frith - except maybe you'll need a holiday from your holiday when you get back to your own bed?

    Excellent news bagpus
    1) meeting friend for lunch gave me a target time to have bath and do housework. Mission accomplished (without hurrying bath time!)
    2) lovely lunch with lovely friend, also single after long marriage. We met in2013 and both had marriage meltdown 2012
    3) then called my mum to see if she was still interested in garden centre trip and if yes to pick me up in town
    4) lovely trip to gc with mum. I spent nuffink as we had vouchers for tea. Mum bought the pots she wanted
    5) scrummy broad bean risotto which also had yellow courgette from friend at work with excess
    6) then ceilidh (hence being up soooo late) for friends' wedding.
Have got home, walked poopies, made tea and updatee you guys. Night all x

    Belated happy holiday villagelife

    1. The laundry basket is empty and all ironing done. Always a pleasure, I look back with a shudder on the days of constant washing and the ironing basket which was never empty when the children were at home
    2. Some samples of fabric arrived, one of which is the perfect colour for my bedroom. The windows have been measured and curtains will be here within a week. Excellent service and better still it's a special offer of 50% off until the end of the month
    3. Went with a friend to see Hairspray, amazing colour, singing and energy! Got a concession on both the ticket and drinks, the latter because I have a bus pass. Never hear of that before and rather impressed :)
    4. Gave the sa a £20 note for the drinks and got 8 £2 coins in the change. My £2 money box has certainly grown heavy today!
    5. Said friend and I then went to her home for dinner which was waiting for us in the sc. Long girlie chatty evening so I've not long been home <yawwwwn>

    Sweet dreams :)

Sunday evening here , heating's on and an old midsomer murder is on!
Quite a busy weekend but a few more hours left to enjoy before back to work.

Up bright and early yesterday for work ( groan) enjoyed the drive to work, beautiful sunrise, beautiful view of city, parked my car and there on the back tyre was the hugest , hairiest bloody big spider! Now , I hate them but realised I had to deal with it as there was no one else around ...ran into work and got a can of spray and sprayed for all I was worth ...then drove away! Horrid things...this was not a pleasure as such but more that I dealt with it!

Finished work by 12 and after a quick shower we grabbed some lunch at usual breakfast cafe. I had 2 x $5 vouchers to be used in supermarket so we got some pretty solar lights for back porch for free.

Read for a bit and finished book this afternoon. First book I've read in ages. Borrowed some more from library.

We took DD1 to a uni open day today ( the one I used to work on campus) , met a few of my old customers which was nice and did pop in to cafe but only knew one of the girls. OH and DD got a free coffee / tea :)

We went to a beautiful new to us cafe for breakfast this morning I had lemon scones Very yummy.

We sat out on our garden sofa for a good while this afternoon , until it just got too cold , even with a blanket on! It's lovely, can hear the birds, smell the flowers and trees and altogether most pleasant.

I watched casualty this morning whilst ironing. Then more ironing to be done as lots dried on the washing line today .
