Tuesday evening here....just in from an hour of schmoozing with fellow street traders ( I realise as I write that I sound like a lady of the night!!) , next month the town I work in has a big event , so tonight was the launch and as manager I represented our business. Went with girl from estate agent next door as we didn't know anyone else! And finally formally introduced to the lady who manages clothes shop other next door....always thought she was a bit snooty but she was actually nice and we got the train home together. Had yummy nibblly bites. My favourite were the beet root arincini and the spinach and feta filo bites....not so keen on the sausages. 2 free diet cokes and I was full! So dinner sorted for me!

After a very early bed I was up bright and early this morning, cleaned bathrooms and phoned friend from home.

Work was quiet but very productive. Had a good chat with my boss when she popped in this afternoon....meant I was running late with my close but as I didn't have to be out at usual time , it was okay.
They are happy with my management so far.....!

Home with leftover cakes....carried carefully to event, carried carefully on train! I've not had sugar in 19 days and I succumbed....had one bite and had to spit it out, it was disgustingly sweet....went and brushed my teeth straight away.....so I still haven't really had sugar in 19 days...really !

OH on his way home, he's been away for 3 days.

Nice email from our physio today. He's from UK and after 7 years can watch match of the day as we told him how to get UK telly :) happy to help!

That'll do for Tuesday , have a nice day :)

Just popping in to say hi to everyone, I've had a lovely long weekend up here in Preston with my DS and family but eh bah gum it's chilly compared to down south! I'm just a softie. Everyone here is wearing tee shirts and shorts while I have my cardi and warmest trousers on :o. Going home tomorrow and looking forward to spending a day with my DD on Thursday. We'll no doubt have a shopping day and lunch out as we do each month but have missed a couple so have a lot to make up for.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the holidays if you're on holidays, or just the Summer even though it seems to be taking a break for a short while. I'll have another catch-up with the posts when I get back (usually when I'm settled in bed with a cuppa and a piece of toast, and the dog on my feet acting as hwb. Cosy :) ).

Take care, hugs n God bless :) x

I'm clearly not looking around this forum enough as I've only just come across this thread!!!

I love this. All the little things certainly add up to make a better mood, and I could do with making myself appreciate some of the smaller things in life sometimes!

That said, today is a little tricky as I'm nervously waiting for a call from the vet to (hopefully) tell me my pup has made it through his operation okay and I can go pick him up. I'll do yesterday instead for now, and hopefully will do today later with a positive vets outcome. He's only being neutered, so routine operation, but I'm still nervous...

    Here goes...

    1. I enjoyed curling up on the sofa with hubby and the pup watching 'Parental Guidance' on the t.v. last night. Light hearted funny film, and we don't normally get to do something like that on a weeknight.

    2. I took the pup for a nice long walk in the park.

    3. I've only just joined the gym again recently and I have let myself get a bit (a lot...) out of shape. Taking things slow and steady at the min til I get my fitness levels up and yesterday had a great session. Hard work, but didn't feel like I was going to die at the end of it.

    4. And after that gym session I had a delicious healthy chicken salad for dinner.

    Tread on fresh snow.

Rite, enough of the nonsense of the annual emporium race to waste money over some insignificant event. BoP’s recipes for the event will be maid available on November 1st. They have bin tired and tested on BoPsie. As BoPsie has stayed with BoP for so long now, you can only guess. More bear hugs then!

5 Scotch egg for tea last night, with BoP juice and salad. No slice this time.

4 Watched Horrisones last night, and I am going to save lots of money. It is likely I will not make the events this year, so the suggestion above that recipes will be made available on November 1st should be taken with a throw of salt over the left shoulder.

3 Also watched the Baker and Kelly show, and the toaster prediction for Saturdays match.

2 Again there is a no show on the crab buns this season, just oranges and salad for lunch. Not bough at the double processed nitrogen enriched cooled emporium at extreme prices, but home made with cheese. With filtred lemon juice as well.

1 Everything you see in black and white is not true. And stay off the foam drinks!

Amass though, BoPsie thinks this is real thought, actually it is codswallop! But it keeps BoP ticking over!

So been a few days I hope all is well, My recent pleasures:

    1. Mum is over for a few days.
    2. A box of sweets came in the post.
    3. Husband is off work for a week.
4 and 5. Went to Alton towers and saw some friends I hadn't seen in a year with their adorable three children.

On a less pleasurable not I am now a bit more worried as I popped by school and our building work has not started yet :(

Hi, missed a lot of days but am posting quickly for today, as very tired

    1. Walk in the park in the sunshine

    2. Meeting the guy that might be teaching me tai chi in the park for free "if I am dedicated". Will give it a go.

    3. Nice lunch with DS

    4. Meeting DH for coffee before he went out to have dinner with a friend

    5. The main builder's mum visited, she is the project manager and we agreed on finishing strategy. Light at end of tunnel!

    Good night.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

I can do today now that I have the pup back safe and sound.

Which of course means that number 1 is...

    1. My pup is back home after his neutering at the vets today. Still a little confused and feeling sorry for himself, but he's been drinking water and he's eaten the bland food the vet gave him for dinner tonight. :D

    2. I visited my nan and grandad for lunch today.

    3. I met my aunts new puppy today - very friendly and playful little thing.

    4. I braved leaving my washing on the line when I was out... and it didn't rain! Came home to nice dry washing.

    5. I found an old cross stitch kit that I started ages ago but never finished. It's only a small one so hopefully I'll find the time to finish it before it's back to school time.

A busy week here hence updating intermittently. Also the fact my posts on MSE don't "send" or the cursor jumps about and I end up typing over stuff I've already typed or the return key does nothing. Doesn't happen anywhere else on the internet!

Sons have been revolting! Just grumbling and sniping all day long, all week.

    Anyway, pleasures for today:

    1) A bit of a lie in.

    2) Bigger son went to role playing this afternoon with brother and brother in law.

    3) Smaller son and I went to Sainsburys.

    4) Smaller son wandered off while I was buying petrol and started talking to an old bloke!!! Turned out it was my ex husband's dad - I hadn't seen him for nearly a decade.

    5) Watered the greenhouse and cut sweetpeas and another courgette. Got a pumpkin the size of a football (still green at the moment).

    6) Found the family railcard - took over an hour. :-/

    7) Off to Nottingham tomorrow! Hoorah! Anchor Army Surplus (think it was VJsmum who is also a fan) then either the caves or boating on the University lake. Will perhaps have a look at my old flat too. :-)

Also getting excited about our holiday on Friday. We have not been on holiday as a family since 2005 (!) but we're going youth hostelling, along with several other families and lots of staff from Autism West Midlands.
