    Evening all!

A lazy day off was much needed :)

    Lie in!
    Lazed in bed and read.
Decided I should really get up and dressed....went to fruit and veg shops, stocked up again. Went to post office and popped into salvos and bought 3 nice tops and a lovely wicker picnic basket, all lined in pretty red gingham.
Home and relaxed and enjoyed the company of DD1 and her friend who came in after school.
Made a nice chilli and rice for dinner.

Could've, should've,would've done housework but nah!

    Have a great day :)
  • I just knew that one would fall for it.

5 Film night last evening, snoggled up to BoPsie, but this time of year she gets a little hot. Gun Fury, full of bad uns. No injuns, just bad uns. They snatched a girl and shot her Husband to be. All ended ok as an Injun scout joined them and them bad uns were finished off. BoPsie’s favourite, Lee Marvin also starred. Too gooey eyed she was!

4 Really was a touch too hot last night, so I did not toss off at all, we had sardines and salad instead. Now BoPsie has this thing at the moment about Pilchards. I has to tell BoPsie that Pilchards are no more, they are called Cornish Sardines. Now!

3 Bits a day and week. Bin there, kicked me boots, went through Sparralands, back again and home. Raffles is up to his usual self. Yous know last week we feasted him on the expensive, on offer food, and he turned his nose up. Well one week later, guess what. It is approved and eaten in one. Last day, he had a flip round the yard, in the back door, round and out the conservatory, over, at 45 degrees the fence, round and back atop the conservatory and down in a thud, or was it a controlled crash. This morning as I was enjoying my biscuit of cereal wheat, Raffles decided he had enough of the window, and landed on the table, head warding towards the bowl. Had to flick his whiskers!

2 No rabbit food today, so grazing. Me thinks me is going to have a bean feast later! Now BoPsie does not like the ruff foods that are vital, and as I said yesterday, keep you young looking and feeling good. So I had a food with lots of Iron, and rich in vitamins and also one of your five a day. Black pudding and tinned tomatoes. Again, it keeps your bum in the air and BoPsie chasing the tail.

1 Meanwhile, in other news today …

Catch up later, you know what it is like having some bristle!

    1) More envelope stuffing, this time in the company of two colleagues who own cats: if you put three cat owners in a room they're never short of something to talk about!

    2) A hug from the colleague organising the envelope stuffing when I promised to help her out again next week.

    3) Went up to the big supermarket, which I do only a couple of times a year, and took the opportunity to stock up on deli meats: the shop's located in an area with a large Polish population so there are always interesting European varieties to try.

    4) Got home to find that Isis had been unwell during the day, but she ate her dinner with her usual enthusiasm so I'm guessing it was just the heat and she's fine now!

    5) A$da takeaway pizza for dinner - not as OS as making my own, but better than a real takeaway and almost as tasty.
Back after a very long break!

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Sons played happily.

    3) Smaller son is at New Rd watching the cricket.

    4) Played some table tennis with bigger son then football (until I kicked it wrongly and snapped my toenail off!)

    5) Bigger son and I have just finished fitting our refurbished fireplace. 4 days to strip the paint off and polish, 10 minutes to put in place!

    Evening all :hello:

I've been MIA for a couple of weeks. Sorry. However, at least term has finished and I've started my summer job... No rest for the wicked etc. ;)

So, my pleasures over the last couple of weeks:

    1) Had a massive hug from some of the mums of children in my class last Friday. A few of the families are moving on (military) and so I won't see them in the Autumn term. :(

    2) Stewarded at a local music festival. There was the choir from Kings College, London singing the All Night Vigil from Rachmaninov. I closed my eyes and allowed the music to wash over me. Simply magical.

    3) Started my summer job. I live with my parents during the week and have just done a 12hr day - all linked with Harvest and I test wheat, barley and oilseed rape as it enters the massive storage facility. I could do with a holiday BUT the extra cash means that I will be able to afford to visit my friend in Dubai next year. :j Can't wait

    4) I'm being treated well by my mum! She is making the packed lunches for my dad and brother (I make my own!), but she is giving me my supper every evening. Yum! My mum's food is the BEST!

    5) Working tomorrow, then driving to see DH. Remind him what I look like! :rotfl:

It's no longer Spain but Ischia in the height of August. Hence we had pasta tonight.

    1. In Sainsbobs and picked up a warm loaf. At home DD and I liberated the lurpak onto the warm bread.

    2. Bought a cheese and tomato flatbread. Was £1.60 but we all enjoyed it.

    3. New payslip through and it was as I'd calculated. Although DH has a tight month I have a few bits up my sleeve. From September I will be able to put my savings plan into action.

    4. Blow dried my hair, not bad if I do say so myself

    5. Discovered the car wash people visit work. £5 for a wash. Saves me the 12 mile round trip n

    Happy weekend everyone.
