    1. Unable to go out atm as I've got a gastric virus, but DNeighbour did some shopping for me and her DD watered my garden. It rained later but that's not the point ;)
    2. Am on a liquids only diet for 5 days so I'm expecting to lose at least the 2lbs I put on last week
    3. Several friends put photo's of garden sheds on fb. I put the beach hut on and won the most votes for prettiest :)
    4. DB phoned to say DM had a good day, no news re a residential bed yet but the wheels are turning
    5. Blended soup and a bowl of ice cream for dinner. I'm allowed to drink tea which I do by the gallon, so relieved about that. Looking forward to a smoothie for breakfast

    Sweet dreams

Do get well soon Sparrer. So many bugs doing the rounds.
Still haven't caught up with this, but well done, KK your recent posts make me very happy.

Dr C. had a car accident rushing to work this morning, car damaged but not a write off, he was unhurt, TG but is very down. The road was wet and he lost the back end on a notorious bend. Hasty re-arrangement of days off to get the car repaired. He loves his car but has had a few off road incidents now.
There have been happy things as well, will try and focus on those for future posts but now need to get music videos posted for our FB page. It was a really good night.

    I've got a few pages to catch up on,but don't think I'll manage...:o

    So,for the last few days:

-saw a friend at the weekend. We haven't met up for ages.

-the men's Wimbledon final-nail bitting stuff.

-all the gardening is up to date and I've got my first lot of green beans picked.

-did some skipping yesterday and Monday. It's becoming a habit, and such an easy way to get the heart racing.

-managing to stick to my nsd plan for the month.I have to be super-strict this month as cash is very limited due to paying off a massive cc bill.

-Earl Grey tea-I haven't had any for quite a while, and fancied a change. There's nothing better!

Shall pop in and say hello whilst I have time! Another busy day in the life of me!

Dreadful nights sleep again, a combination of rubbish bed, a wriggling companion and jetlag. Jetlag has not been too bad and I think the lighter nights have made a difference and the fact we've been very busy in the evenings. Anyway the pleasure was finally being a decent time to get up!
( trying very hard not to wake up my MIL too early!)

We are baby sitting today watching my friends DD whilst she is at work....so far so good!

Roll and slice and a tattie scone for breakfast!

Going to another friends for lunch and hopefully a riverside walk weather permitting. She lives in the countryside.

Then it will be a dash back with friends DD and then quick change into more glamorous clothing and drop my DD at a friends for dinner there and then dash again in my glad rags for dinner with friends.

Time is ticking and we leave on Friday, after today everyone has had at least one visit if not two. Tomorrow I need to start to repack and see if we have enough room for everything or if we have to buy another bag! We travelled with less than half our baggage allowance but as usual I go slightly daft when I'm here!

I have loved seeing everyone again , being topped up with love and friendship once again, taken a zillion photos which salve a sore heart once I'm home and away ( see what I did there:)) from everyone again. marmite I think you asked a couple of pages ago if this was first visit, this is our 4th visit in 4 years. We are lucky that we get paid trips every year as part of my OHs contract , we certainly could not afford it!

    Have a lovely day :)

I'm glad that you manage to get home regularly, even though it's only once a year. It's also brilliant that it's taken care of by your OH's work.
Do you always come over at the same time of year?I hope you're having nice weather!:)

    Nice pun btw!:rotfl:

    Get well soon sparrer x

Vicky A - teacher stares and smiles duly practised :) I did a fab stare yesterday, just looked quizzically at a child who was rocking back on his chair (one of my pet hates), didn't say a word, but he put all 4 legs of the chair back on the floor :) Such power......

Hooray for happy dances too! I think they should be taught at an early age, or given on prescription :)

Having a day at home today and bored already.... :(
  • This post is brought to you with a touch of Germanic efficiency.

Horses, Jenny sends :heartpuls to the invalids and sickly. Oh, and those teacher stares. Bet you can no snarl like BoP!

5 Well what can I say about that curry on Monday night!;. Well flamed and the fire alarm was sounded as well. The special flied lice had the BoPsie soothing all night long. Made to perfection and delivered with aplomb.

4 Seems that BoP’s treader is in need of some tlc. Well, I has found out that it has a problem with its brakes. How, well BoPsie has told me such. I wander how she knew! Time to raise the seat.

    3 England Fail facts

Tim Chaill has scored goals at every World since 2006, he now has 5. WR played his first World Cup in the same tournament, though only has managed 1 goal.

Since Martin Peters was substituted in Leon on June 14th 1970, Germany has reached 9 World Cup semi finals. England has reached 1
Since England won the World Cup in 1966, Germany has won it twice. They have also appeared in the Final another 2 times. England has reached none.

In 2009, England were beaten by Germany 4-0 in the 2009 U21 Euro. That German side provided the base for the one that beat England 4-1 in South Africa. This same team wiped the floor in Brazil last night. England, went home to their WaGs

2 No problems, the crickets on, and think, the Germans do not play it!

1 When England played a lack lustre victory in Charleroi in Belgium in 2000, German football looked into itself to find out what was wrong. The result was a Micheal Owen hat Trick in 2001. The result was that to play in the Bundelegia, each team had to field 6 home grown players in every match.

We will be able to see the fruit ripen on Sunday

Sorry, not much gal stuff and that today, but that really was something special yesterday. Was expecting a dull and exacting game, but that was something else. I know, and I have harked on, but as England, we are not in the same league.
