    Evening

oH is watching a. Programme about steam trains <<yawn>>

Glad you are having a lovely time Mhags
    LOL at your mum, DD
Sparrer - sorry you are having a tough time. Take care of you too
Sorry about the job, CCP, there will be one for you - look at Kittikins

    Pleasures for today
    1. Woke up at 4.30 which really p**sed me off. But I went back to sleep until 8.30 :T
2 yummy lunch of spinach, avocado, pumpkin seed and goats cheese salad a la Nigella. What diet? :rotfl: love this whole food way of eating
    3. Cleaned up my kitchen and sorted my laundry - things always go to pot when I am not home
4 DS successfully completed his DofE bronze expedition - and narrowly missed the rain. Boy is. Shattered now
5 OH and MiL had a great weekend away
I wanna be in the room where it happens

VJM, you’ll never get yourself steamed up then! Balls, and gardening. Guess the balls won. Cats chasing imaginary things. Raffles, king of the Strut, is so much into a routine, I move the mat on the outside table and the broken dish. Looked a bit lost as his normal hone had moved oh just slightly. Then after a moaning on the table, in the shade, it is the wall next to the garage, then flop. Feed and the Shed roof. Job seekers all, there is only one door you need! Alas, if you got up early, …

5 See, now you do not need me to go back across the swing bridge just to get a weather forecast. As you maybe reading this at work, I can tell you now the clouds are looning low over the Salt mine. Best place in weather like this.

4 Still no word on BoPsie. She has applied to big see everything engine to remove the Live Scrabble from the boreds. As you are aware, BoPsie is known to be active in this area, so we must keep her good and tight.

3 Yesterday, spelled rite for Sparra, we had Sea Bass. Jersey Royals, mushy peas, not the HR carp. In Grimsby, we plaice their fish next to the latrines. Afters was the infampous seasonal Mousse. Note, it is too warm for Spotted Dicks.

Now, BoPsie, and mes, got our weekly shop in, not at the TeSaAsMo, nor the Coop! But at the W8rz. Toms, Iceberg, Pepper, Onions, for toe nailing, cucumber, radishes. Small pork pie, two mackerel fillets, loaf, button mushrooms, cheese, paper, oranges (loads), pineapple. Snorkers and Bacon. Juice two bottles. And some Mousse! All for the usual £26 to £28. Beat that. Oh, and the juice, you see no fizz there either. Wobbleades, they are for the weekend. Normally. Friday, is a wobbleade grab, mushrooms, and I think this week we will give the Spagyetti a miss and go for Toms, in a tin.

2 Nite, as a treat it is Mushroom Korma. Mushrooms instead of that dear meat. Well, yesterday, there was, as mentioned on my apprenticeship, double processed food. That is food that is processed once, and then, remarkably, processed again. Such as a TF sandwich!!!! There was sweet chilli chicken, about a morsel, for £3.49. Nows I watch my pennies, button mushrooms at £1.19. I now what I would rather have. Oh, TF, good old British rail week old sandwich. Normally of Cheese and Tomato. Great flavours, missed not. So abouts that Mushroom Storma.
    Button Mushrooms, 1/2lb
    Onion, toe nail chopped
    Red Pepper
    Pineapple (Fresh, ruff cut)
    Rice.

Throw them Toe Nailed onions in a red hot pan. Frizzle until well brown. Add Mushrooms. Flavour with Coriander, Garam Masala. Chilli, Turmeric. Mint and others to taste. Then add the Coconut block, water to sauce it up. (Bit cheaper and better than that watery Stickin Nodelight. And better for you, see above about double processed foods). While that is frazzling away, you can do some boiled rice. Near the end, slam in the peppers, they do not need long.

When ready, serve hot. Very hot.

Now, I am often stopped in the streets and asked, how come my fried rice is better than Mr Chans. Well, I can now tell you lot why. Because it is. For the special fried rice, you will need Long Grain rice, note that! Not that expensive Basmati things. You will not notice any difference, except in the Purse. Now BoPsie purse when she shops likes this, has plenty of pound bits left over for a bottle of whine, as well as her BoP’s wobbleades. I has gone of tack again.

Special fried rice. Now you know that onion that was toe nailed. Well, just keep a little back as you now need to finely chop this. Grab an egg, add a bit of milk to it and whack away to beat it. In small pan, make kinda scrambled eggs. In tother pan, you see, pandemoanian here! Just gently fry the onion, add some soy soauce, peas and pineapple, pepper. Then add drained rice and whisk round. Then add egg. Then never go to Mr Chans again!

Oh, and no forget to put the desiccated Coconut and raisins on top when you finished.

Of curse, you always get the fat man’s pizza delivery round for £25!

And I has heard those that say. My man will not eat that because there is no meat! Well, if you do not say there is no meat, they do not know! By then it is too late! Why, because it will be eaten! Here endeth today’s lesson in Cooking with BoP.

Now of course if you are going to cook, BoP has this warning. Me and BoPsie cook together, be careful. Now only on Saturday, while grossing the SnorkerFest, I managed a double back kick on the drawer and fridge, and closed them both! And I am a dab hand at getting the pans form the stove to the sink in one swing. Sometimes though, we do have a bounce out.

1 Three carts, two horses, one jockey.

And the southern window, it is raining!

    Evening all!

Some more pleasures ( as I write with a belly full of takeaway bought by friend:))

Yesterday we enjoyed church, a visit to crematorium where FILs service was held for DD to see, it's in beautiful setting.

Lovely barbecue with friends, lovely catching up with them.

Today we went out very early setting off on a road trip with friends .
We went on the Falkirk wheel ( saving 10% by buying a family ticket) then we had a lovely picnic lunch in a park and then went to see the Kelpies.
They are stunning and amazing! Then we went to Dunblane Cathedral and had a lovely ice cream come !

A fabulous day, the sun came out at times...cardi on, cardi off!

    More friends tomorrow !

    Have a good night :)

I don't think I can manage five for today, but I should be able to get a few:

    1) Managed to find accommodation for my mum and sister when they come to visit me next month: it's bank holiday weekend so everywhere even half-decent seemed to be full, until I had a sudden brainwave that the university sometimes does accommodation - they do, and had rooms free. :j

    2) Redeemed the voucher for a free can of coke I won in a competition, and actually quite enjoyed drinking it - I don't usually drink fizzy drinks so it was the first one I've had in over a year, and novelty (and being a freebie) made it taste better than it probably really is.

    3) Isis had another of her funny turns earlier, but seems fine (and whirlwind-y) now, so hopefully a trip to the dreaded v-e-t won't be needed.

    4) Naughty glass of wine with dinner, as I have a bottle open from the weekend.
Back after a very long break!

Did read through last night but was feeling too tired to post myself.

So here are some for the last 2 days:

1 - Another nice quick/busy day in work yesterday.

2 - One of my staff had a visit from her cute little nephew. Who then brought us some chocolate treats.

3 - Drink with a friend after work. Good to catch up with her after her holiday. She also had a joke present for me which really made me laugh.

4 - Home to watch the GP when I got in. Really fun race to watch and I was pleased to see Button get a good result.

5 - Lots of extra things to do at work today made for an interesting and varied shift.

6 - Despite a late shift I'm home with time to relax and get a few things done.

    S'quiet in here, innit?

CCP - good idea on the accommodation. I once stayed in some in Paris once, and Warwick when i was on a course. Having seen DD's accommodation for next year, complete with en suite, I would be more than happy to stay in it.
Mhags - what are the kelpies?
Giddy - what was the pressie?
BoP - my BiL says he likes vegetarian food, as long as there is meat with it. :rotfl:

    My pelasures for the day

    1. Not a bad sleep ;)
    2. MiL not too depressed that she had to go home.
    3. Coffee with friend, having walked into town (and then back after) with wally the trolley, so i could deliver gubbins to the chazzer and then pick up toiletries in Home Bargains
    4. Made soup from last nights chicken
    5. Fast day bearable thanks to soup - have enjoyed prancing around in extremely skinny jeans with nothing spilling over the top :T (sorry if my diet is getting boring :o)

Waiting for DD to come back from her two year assessment of lifeguarding. Hope she passed.

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Sons OK at school.

    3) Ate the first peas, raw at the allotment!

    4) Had a cup of tea with my school friend.

    5) Sent off son's ebay sales.

    6) Smaller son came downstairs to see me not long back saying he had a blister on his foot (which he has). I was concerned to see what looked like a MASSIVE verucca there too - a perfectly circular ring and pressed in quite deeply. It was probably 1cm across.

After a lot of detective work, turns out he had been walking about with a meccano washer in his sock!!

    Lots to catch up on.....

    1. I am now a teacher :) Had my last day at uni and have said goodbye to all those essays and things.

    2. I've gone through and got rid of a lot of paperwork....but oddly, still have a study full of the darned stuff!

    3. I've found some hopefully exciting plans and ideas for some of my first term's topics :)

    4. DD had an awesome sleepover with a gazillion Brownies at the weekend!

    5. Her lovely friend loaned us a sleeping bag, so I only had to buy the sleeping mat. Hopefully the latter will get used again at some stage....

    6. I've finally ordered a new mobile with a different provider and will be able to send/receive texts and emails again!

    7. I have more supply days at my placement school booked in :)

    8. I'm 99% sure I'm going to go and learn some Mandarin next week! Just got to book the hotel and train to Devon to do it!

    9. Had a fab movie night and scrumptious dinner with chums on Saturday. Philomena is a must-see.

    10. Making up some very silly songs in the car tonight with DD; Gershwin, eat your heart out - you may say potato/potato, but we say mosquito/mosquito!

    11. Thought my car was dead as a dodo as it wouldn't start this morning....but it turned out daddykins had moved it a few inches up the drive and so it was merely confused....

    12. Sunshine!

    13. Emailing my oldest school chum tonight, with whom I'd lost touch in recent years. She's one of those friends that you can not see or speak to in ages, yet can pick up as if it were merely a day or so's absence.

    14. I've planned a fun afternoon for my supply tomorrow, Tour de France-related :)

Oddsysodsy for last few days, clocks forward, back and sideways -

    1. Right now, just removing white laundry for outside line, then resumng 'All Change', being read and relished. Today it's outside, 2 teas down, 5 blackbirds ditto on milk loaf bought exprès-w8rs rtc-, general farm and field sound domestics, all good.

    2. &>Scotsdales[dd? - are we listening?] at 5 bells hier for a glorious Tour de France day. Treated self to 2nd brekkie[1st@4h], their Tour de France special+hot choc and it was lush. All the best fun and This Day Only-type friendships that form naturally at such times. SOOOOOOO impressive, le Tour, fantastique indeed. Managed only one No More Plants afterwards[from the Halt and Lame Bay bien sûr, so it doesn't count, very £2 much http://www.eattheweeds.com/sea-kale/. Of interest, dfv?] and a gorgeous rainbow-y windmill.

    3. More & NOMB. 80-yrs young faller needs more help than she can accept. Bossy time:-) 3 of her dark mahogany foliage crimson dahlias in a perfect little new-to-me blue studio pottery jug[<villlage street market, Sat, despite downpours], with 3 stalks of yellow trefoil-y weed flowers made a lovely thing to gaze upon. I feed on such things and she will too - all part and parcel of pain management.

4.Post Sunday-Service[probing, thoughtful 'Difficult Words' sermon is a keeper]. Heard that 4-foots have been in vestry kitchen. Drawers of teatowels=maternity annexe:eek:, so quick rtn with some of my precious Deadline, the dearest and the best. Will shortly go and re-check.

    5. ......after which, stopped at one of these near &squat
    http://www.camopenstudios.co.uk/
and met a lovely couple, with art deco>50's home, &'s back garden:D[just happens to be their property:p], studio in France, Slade-grad. son[known since college+w/e job in village shop]and warm, empathetic souls. Their paintings, photographic art were not my thing-just as well, starting at £450, but great peace and content in their surroundings. Rtnd soon after with some French brocante mags they'd asked about. Imminent bait check can also be drop-off for 4 framboises, as usual poking through &'s outback. Better uprooted, potted, passed on, than mowed.

    6. Vvv. pleased for Hamilton. Heard DjokFed with academic interest only.

I've loved all the pleasures here, laughed with several, smiles and nods with many more.

Weird!!! - out of nothing and nowhere has started some sort of beat-box thing. booming at me out of my putah????'
'This is wha-what-what you waaaant/ so this is whaaaaat y'geeeeeet' repeated.
    How does this happen?
Back to Elizabeth Jane Howard, thankyou...or p'raps not, now I've fiddled away precious early time here.
