4) fruit left overin the kitchen from someone's meeting nom nom
5) dd2 picked me up from work at 7:40 so got quite a bit done. Cept of course the cricket distracted me 6:30 onwards, and 7:00 to 7:10 was totally nail-biting.
Invigilating tomoz but right now enjoying a glass of aborigin's armpit and the footie. Am i the only one to think the reserve greeks in their blue and white with orange bibs look like they're advertising irn bru?MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

1 - Woke up early but was tired so took some time to sit on the sofa and actually enjoy breakfast before getting ready for work.
2 - Fairly uneventful day at work which I like from time to time.
3 - Lovely message from my sister about her visit. I'm secretly hoping she moves down this way some time.
4 - Fired through a couple of to do list jobs tonight.
5 - Sitting down with a cuppa and some mags that my sister had left.0 -
I used to like Jethro Tull especially Stormwatch.
Pleasures for today:
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Bigger son a lot better so back at school.
3) Smaller son went to school without the protest he said he was going to make!
4) An hour on the allotment watering and eating raspberries. Good to see there are cucumbers and courgettes growing nicely.
5) Went round the charity shops and found a nearly floor length maxi dress that will do for the festivities tomorrow.
6) Popped to Sainsburys.
7) A pack from Autism West Midlands all about the weekend holiday we are going on (organised by them). It's in a youth hostel, I've never stayed in one before.
8) Popped down to see brother and heard about his day at Wimbledon yesterday.
9) Crème brulee for my pudding.0 -
Hi all, a quick few
1 fantastic weekend weather and we were in Wales
2 OH and I did a wonderful walk and then a cycle ride on Sunday, both days stunning
3 lovely evenings in our camping field (although they had put us in THE OTHER FIELD ). We were most discombobulated
4 DS got on really well at his work experience - and at one point I was stalking him on the webcam
5 we are moving offices at work and I solved my packing issues very quickly. Into the skip most of it went.:p
Have a good week folks, and can we please have some yellow thing - I am off to Glastonbury, and I have my wellies packedI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Sorry, lost a long post, grrrr...hugs and well dones etc (sorry for being lazy!)
1. Sunshine
2. Had my last observed lesson of placement today - think it was quite okay, it was certainly a fun science lesson!
3. Had an email from my new school asking me to send over my DBS and a photo, in readiness for next week's day there(hoping my contract will come soon....but that's up to the council and their admin team)
4. Cuddles with DD in the middle of the night, she crept in to my bed, had a minute or so then happily toddled off back to her room. I think she was more than half asleep.....!
5. NSD0 -
1. Although I'm sorry not to have seen her I didn't go to Reading today as DM's gentleman friend wanted to go (they get together a couple of times a week to watch television, lottery etc., and have a few drinkies. She always buys him chocolate biscuits and being some years his senior loves to mother him). DB picked him up which was good of him.
2. A load of garden rubbish taken to the tip and the car loaded for another run tomorrow. Everything checked for snails and other creepy crawlies before it went into the boot, don't want to meet one while I'm driving
3. Long chats on the phone with DD and DS, will visit DD tomorrow as she's on crutches so might be able to help her do a few chores
4. Mentoring 2 lovely people this afternoon. Love the way some of them just 'get it' and fly, others take their time but it usually falls into place after a while.
5. After a nice yellow thing day the rain arrived just as I was about to water the garden. Excellent timing
Sweet dreams

Poacher
I see honey and lemon. Now a runcible spoon. A cat amongst us. Oh dear &. Rain dance girl, that was needed. Rain. Never give in, at the end, the oil was enough to keep the lamp bright. More tuna, pasta and missed lunches. Late nite sparras and science fun. Thinks, coke bottle, balloon, bicarbonate of soda. Pop. What no weasels. Just not cricket. Gosh, what a performance by all. At least we will not be jolted by the overhyped media putting us better than we are. And for the flags, no bother, maybe next time. Yet I hear the emporiums have overstocked. Well guess what, tell that to your buyers. Note, BoP still rues over the 1970 coin collection
5 Just paid colleague who did the Help for Heroes cycle ride at the weekend. The two of them raised over £2,000. They were exhausted at the end of it.
4 Down. Three across. Careful as we crush for information that we miss out on those that police us through thought. One poacher who preached amongst us all has turned gamekeeper. And two of those gamekeepers left. Our though police did not produce tweets on that sparrow, yet gave us news about. And another locked up.
3 Had another bowl of Monster cereal again this morning, and a cup of tea. Checked the refrigerator and guess what, Raspberry jam crisis, last spread coming up this Saturday. That means new jam, pop open the jar, and what flavour will it be. Note, BoP eats strawberries fresh.
2 Jethro Tull. Nope, was Steeleye span. Now who did that one about a trip to Bangor. Makes me think of Sparra, do not know why, but think she would lead the song and dance. No, sherry was involved.
1 Dinner is served, guess what?
Caution BoPsie active in this area0 -
We are here. :just
It's great. feels like we
have never
been away.
Pleasures for today
Bus driver got lost which was funny
We are allowed in the family camping
Lunch was fantastic. Paella. I have vowed to try as much different food as possible
At one point while walking around Bohemian Rhapsody started playing and about 10 different people all joined in. Then just carried on walking :rotfl:
DS is asleep in the tent and looks cute. But don't tell him I said thatI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Fiddler's dram bop
Welcome back from wales vjsmum were you glamping?
Invigilating this morning. Passed without incident. Then lunch with friend so not a nsd. Yummy lunch though
1) took some cherries left over from weekend to work. A welcome snack at 4ish
2) using that well validated tool tinker tailor my cherry stones tell me i'm gonna marry a tailor (not saying how many times i went through the rhyme lol)
3) tickets to malta booked. Going this saturday (bleuh), arrive after midnight, meeting sunday starts at 9am more bleuh but will get time off in lieu when i get back monday (well early hours of tuesday...)
4) remembered mum had some euros over from spain so called round tonight to borrow them rather than having to get them at the hairyport
5) mum away tomorrow for a week and gave me some green beans and yoghurt that need eating up :PMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

1) Gave up on a pair of contact lenses which have been uncomfortable from the start, and the new pair are SO much better.
2) Treated myself to an iced coffee drink from a well known chain. It's OS as I'd forgotten how mouth-numbingly sweet they are, and won't want another one for at least a year!
3) Bought some cakes for the office for my birthday tomorrow, paid for using a voucher I got as a refund for something I'd bought and which didn't fit. Sort of :money:.
4) Jambalaya for dinner. And LOs for lunch tomorrow, too.
5) Poor Isis seems to have had a scary day - I know someone's been in my garden while I was out as the lock on the gate was closed far more firmly than I can manage - but she's emerged from hiding now and even looks to be in a playful mood.
BoP - trip to Bangor - Fiddler's Dram, wasn't it? (Too many pub quizzes speaking there!) ETA - oh darn, just noticed that DD beat me to it!
Back after a very long break!0
