Thanks for all the good wishes, we seem to be bumping down the corridor of life from wall to wall instead of a straight line at the moment. However it's true what they say about every cloud having a silver lining, and if anyone can make light of a situation DM can, even if unintentionally...
The GP asked DM to put a few things into a bag before taking her to hospital yesterday. On arrival the nurses helped her unpack her bag but she clung onto her dressing gown and refused to let them put it away. A little while later they saw her unroll it and sneak a bottle of brandy into her locker! Thank goodness it was a new one, she can't do up opened ones very tight - imagine the chaos, and smell, that would have caused :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I love my DM, she's certainly got spirit!
  • No parsley or rabbit has been used to feed the cat.l

Oh no, tykes are in eating bacon butties. Not only that, but a man cave near heaven as well. Pin ball life, bumper to bumper, Red Shoes, now then, there is saying about red shoes. Wheels failure. Chanson. What no beards. Really! Tent poles I assume. L:ook nose chuff here. Chocolate, naughty. Old dogs. Oi lass, can you pick up my leather jacket while you're over there. Left it back in 1984. Hotel bill needs paying as well. Rite, let me at em. MC. Jenmny sends a :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls

5 Bunday, ham, toenailed onions and crust. Washed down with copious juice. Then had free dessert of strawberries and raspberries. So yummy.

4 Still on happy tablets from Drs. Ooops need another now, so popping along.

3 Just read about the parsley and rabbit. No nags around my parish, but the cat did look kind of happy. Now I nose how yous lot legs get a fuddy, so no link.

Evening all - I'm back! We had a very pleasant time at the festival, drinking beer in the sunshine, riding on the big wheel, and listening to some really good bands. Outside the festival there were jack russell puppies to be cuddled, ducks to be fed, and some of the best mash I've ever come across to be eaten.

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Furry purry Isis, although I could have done without her demonstrating how pleased she was to see me home by showing off her footballing skills at 4am.

    2) Made it to my counselling session without getting lost, unlike last week! :o

    3) Caught up on at least some of the many competitions which have sprung up in my absence.

    4) Got home in time to see the second half of a really good football match.

    5) Lazy dinner of RTC spicy pepperoni pizza.

mcculloch - so sorry to hear about your break-in.

sparrer - I think I like your mum! I hope she gets better very quickly.
Back after a very long break!

    Sparrers mum rocks :T
PK I have "a girl called jack". Also. It is great on my 500 calorie days. I had courgette fritters the other night from it.

    Pleasures for yesterday

1 loads of blackberry flowers on the bushes as I walked to the station
2 East Midlands trains. Much better than virgin and the wifi worked beautifully
3 got loads of work done. Makes up a bit for Monday.
4 dad was good, and my auntie was there visiting. Haven't seen her for too long
5 had a "don't mention the war" moment. Dad had said "for gawds sake don't ask them (auntie and uncle) about the dogs. It's all they ever talk about". They were then asking me about Korea and the food, and I said "oh and I wouldn't eat dog" I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it:rotfl:
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Hurrah! My working week is over :)

Up at silly o'clock so phoned friend from home and had a good chat with her.

Then out for work, which was fine. Glad it's over for a couple of days.
Didn't have to run for the train tonight, had 2 minutes to spare.

Encountered the rabbit that hops around on way home....not sure who got the biggest fright !

In and straight back out to sit in rush hour traffic and go to optician with DD1. She needs her first pair of specs and spookily enough has the exact same prescription as me ...including the same prism. DD2 has worn glasses since she was tiny but takes so long to choose a new pair of specs, DD1 chose hers very quickly! $499.00 .....no NHS specs over here. Luckily we can claim back on our medical insurance but have to pay upfront.

My lovely daughter kindly bought me a new pair of slippers!

DD2 is on stage as I type, we will go and see her on Saturday night.

I have so much to do tomorrow , we are having friends over for dinner tomorrow ,so much to be done. House to clean, garden flowers to pick, food to cook, groceries to buy and appointments to be attended! So I am sitting with my feet up ( encased in new slippers:)) tonight and watching masterchef !

    Have a lovely day all

    # 4 shifts to work :)

    1) Waking up to the sound of foghorns. :) After a while the fog burnt off to leave another beautiful day, too. :D

    2) A handsome young fox drinking out of the bird bath.

    3) Isis was in a serious grump this morning, refusing even to leave her favourite hidey-hole for a morning fuss, but she's back to her normal self this evening.

    4) Found a definite taker for the tickets to the motor show I won a couple of weeks ago, and then found I couldn't go to.

    5) Lazy evening of nibbly stuff (all RTC, of course :money:), beer and football. Come on England!!
Back after a very long break!
