    1) Not a bad sleep, for the first time in over a week.

    2) Watching a young blue tit struggling to master the tricky art of eating out of a half coconut on a string. :rotfl:

    3) Not being outside when a thunderstorm blew in at around the time I would usually be going out to lunch.

    4) Another very quiet afternoon at work, so I'm all caught up on the comps board again.

    5) Portsmouth's ridiculously cheap taxis, so I can get out to see friends tonight even if the weather's still as foul as it is at the moment.
Back after a very long break!
  • Raffles, look away now. CCP has some treats for you! There seems to be feathers abound in the yard, but we has no body! DD. Yep. I alo say the sme as I take max holiday. Problem why do I not do overtime. Because I can do my work in a week. See previous rules on the matter.

We are parked in Cumbria. Hols. Ner ner the ner ner. Tongue drooling. Two fingers. And any othe gesture you wish!

    1. I had a good lesson observation (well, have been told it was good, haven't got the paperwork yet) - but YIPPEE!!!

    2. School was hectic, fun and full of cuddles and learning :)

    3. Managed to avoid being rained on!

    4. Just found out one of my friends is having a baby girl, after 3 boys. She's excited that she'll have a very new experience soon :)

    5. Yummy scrummy dinner. DD apparently nearly polished it off, as I was very late back, but thankfully was restrained from doing so!

    6. Was looking forward to a bit of a lie in as I'm at uni tomorrow....

    7. ... but a Headteacher at a different school has contacted me as she's been told good things about me by the last school to reject me. So, I'm off there for silly o'clock in the morning to meet with her (and not teach as it's an Inset day). Hope she's nice - and that I can find the school!

    8. It's kind of half term already, as I don't have any lessons to plan for tomorrow. Peace.....

Supersaver: Fantastic news on the new job..
    Dads on the up again.
1.I de cluttered 1 bag of stuff, and dh is also getting the bug well I think he’s being very supportive as I’m struggling a little and still lots to get through.
2.For some bizarre reason I forgot tea to made a rapid curry with side of purple broccoli, it worked somehow
    3. I made numerous ferret cookies not sure why just to see if I could, turns out they are more turtle looking with a very very bad icing job, and took a lot longer than I anticipated, but it did bring back some memories of my mum, I remember cutting them out but funnily enough I don’t remember eating them.
4.The van’s packed we are ready to roll.
    5. Hovered around the upstairs and got a few loads of washing dried.
Hope everyone has a wonderful bank holiday weekend

PK - Glad to hear your dad is on the up. Hope that continues!

Busy few days, especiallly work wise but hear to share some pleasures from the last few days.

1 - Late night work on Tuesday and all the team did so well. Doing new stuff and being successful. So proud.

2 - Lots of lovely customers making my days brighter.

3 - Ordered and received a book just in time for travelling this weekend. It's another Mitch Albom as I'm thoroughly enjoying his reads. It was cheaper to buy it as a set of 2 (3.99) with the first one I read, The Five People You Meet In Heaven, so that will be getting passed on to someone else to enjoy.

4 - Had my work review today and it went fantastically.

5 - Went on a hike with my Guides tonight. Lots of mud and lots of laughter :)

    Sound positive for tomorrow, KK.

Perhaps Raffles could have a word with Joey, Barry, Charlotte and Matilda as I have found 2 mice and a bit of spleen (?) in my porch so far this week.

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Smaller son still on the mend.

    3) Spoke to college about getting a last haircut before they close for the summer.

    4) Went out for a cup of tea with my friend.

    5) Went up to the allotment so she could look round. Felt a bit embarrassed actually having someone else there but she seemed to like it and took a handful of radishes away with her!

    6) Amazing storm at 4ish to the point that I had to pull the car off the road because the flash flooding was getting a bit silly. One massive lightning bolt too.

    7) Swimming with sons and my brother.

    8) Tea at mum and dad's.

    9) Watched the Harry Potter film.

    10) Bigger son finally did huge amount of homework that he'd been refusing to do for weeks. Or at least, he did the world's most half hearted effort that I then finished off for him. :-/

    11) In bed now listening to the torrential rain. Counting the local votes tomorrow!
