KK, So sorry, something amazing will be along soon.
    For Sunday
1.We were just ambling everywhere we walked further than normal and stumbled on a wonderful 2nd hand shop called trash or treasure which really was wonderful, we picked up an audio book of the rats, and a couple of risqu! Betty davis pictures, a proper little treasure trove there.:o
2.We didn’t really do a lot until the sun relented a bit, this afternoon evening we Popped out to pick up azalea food, we planted out the 3 azaelas in the front lawn which was somewhat epic, apparently this whole place is built literally with bricks about 4 inches under soil, so various pick axes digging soil moving plant food added and 2 hours later shattered they are in.:p
3.Planted out some packs of seeds found left over of hollyhock and yellow toms.:)
4.I haven’t done proper food shopping for ages but dinner was actually really nice, it was mash with salad and chutney with steak and sausage coupled with an ice cold pear cider bliss.
    For Monday
1.Got up for work, checked the journey and the trains were not only delayed but cancelled with over running engineering so I worked from home I got a vast amount done and a lot quicker.:p
2.Staring at the birds helping them selves to the grub in the glorious weather.
    3. We caved to a Mr T shop thankfully fully loaded with vouchers and careful shopping we stocked back up, together with a treat, doughnuts for 12p well.:)
    4.Reading everyone’s pleasures and pains.

  • Gosh, just catching up and read it though KK was fed up and was going to do what. No, glasses on. In there like a shot. Look there is something waiting. Lost post, good naps. Flying Colours, so you know your muster points. Mixed bags. Marking. Stir fry. Pay day! Ah Gateshead, struck like a rabbit in the lamps! Better team won, got it a synch. And hosses as well. But, no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no. Waste of an egg

    Look, Yellow Yellow Yellow

    5 4 Yesterday.

5 Dump run. Toss out stuff dumped, gone, got rid of. BoPsie came along as well!

4 Double snorker and bacon breakfast. With mushrooms and toast, and raspberry jam with bits, not that emporium glucose based squirt.

3 We add fish and chips for tea, loads of them. In fact, I am sure that BoPsie had too many.

2 Then it was offs to the Bristol Old Vic and the Tiger Lilies. Too raucous for you lot, so no links as it was a bit crude. & would had liked it though. Quite a few walked early and a lot never came back at half time! We were in the cheap seats, MSE style!!

I was going to do an Epic post, but neshed it.
Thankyou for keeping on posting - it's a glorious read & I keep wanting to reply to individuals but if I start it'll be another Epic.
We've Survived SATs! Family members, despite shuttling to & from medics, hospitals & other scary things, have come back.
All this light & heat is wonderful! Raffles, may I offer you a virtual newt in recogniton of all your hard work?

OS Pleasures in (ye gods) the last fortnight?!
That wondrous moment of imminent rest and be thankful followed by three inches of free fall as it is a children's' toilet. But oh the relief.

The cheerful enthusiasm of the teen contemplating the Pick You Own Toppings. I could extract promises of clean floors for a month when he's in this state! Darn ethics.

Aww. Teenager does not like "mner mner" song! Never mind. Scouts being shipped to camp next week... [Yikes, time has passed]

Listening to the brains trust realise the hand cranked sharpening stone is only suitable for short blades. (It took several minutes for them to agree on something I saw at one loop.)

Ah the scrape of a knife blade being sharpened. He'll even do the kitchen knives too! [Done! We still have all our own fingers too!]

Discussing Rygel, a Farscape character, "he's a very advanced Muppet"... Alas, the younger two translated Muppet as "muppet" (derog.) & looked a bit baffled at the incongruity.

It's wonderful what a vigorous hug from the youngest does for the nervous system. A mixture of delight & adrenaline.

Heh. Even plaited tight, my braid reaches my waist. Keeping it in order at camp will be fiddly, but I'm proud of it.

Gardener's joy - the long hot shower after a session in the patch in the rain. We've got most of it under net now, so I can stop twitching about whether the darn seedlings will be devoured by fast moving wildlife.

As the gaffer taped (old) sock is cut off to make the pattern for an Anglo Saxin shoe, an opinion is clearly audible: "that looks like a deformed mitten"...

If happiness is to be measured in mess, I'm ecstatic. Potting on seedlings, I have hockey pitches of parsleys, fennel & dill, & there are more seedling trays to go once I figure where to put them.

Central Manchester roads are being closed to facilitate the worship of False Gods. (Not my religion.) The office is either making bunting or a quick exit according to preference!

Ha! Beloved local museum paperwork now hauled back into order. Much rejoicings as the confusion had caused a Lot of ill-feeling.

Talked into installing the Theraminator app onto my phone. Let the really silly noises commence! (Been a fan of the Theramin for years - only just doing this!) [Works better with headphones]

First Hike with Scouts - oh my knees this morning!

Snails have a homing instinct so throw them at least 60'?! Worth a try, but what is allotment etiquette if that sends escargot into someone else's bit?

Survived my First Ever Scout Camp! Had a great time, (as did the scouts) and have been encouraged to consider teaching rifle shooting as well as archery! (The rumour I work as a spy gained serious traction after a lucky shot. Scouts!)

The heat certainly brought out my 'nurturing' side - any Scout who claimed to be 'not thirsty' was crisply told "wrong answer" and given two cups to drink. The smarter cookies took it in turns to bring a bag of water bottles for refilling.

Those of us who'd camped got the car unloaded, the washing machine on the first load & both of us scrubbed in under an hour. All movement thereafter was under some protest!

There is a bird being dulcetly territorial on the railway bridge - thus boosting the acoustics impressively.

Wow! Six concrete trucks in a row, waiting to deliver to a building site. So many in one queue, so big, so bored... Looks like an enormous toddler was playing & has wandered off!

Jonny - have a long happy retirement! I do hope he comes home to coach...

Looking at clumps of chives not quite ready to flower yet & reminding me of cartoon spaceships.

Seen my first nasturtium leaves! (I was beginning to wonder if the seeds were dud or just my gardening.)

Big hugs to those who need them, a triumphant return to as much health as can be expected (& ideally a bit more), & enjoy this yellow stuff!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
DFV - aah, another Farscape fan! :)

Kittikins - I'm really sorry to hear about the job. You'll get the next one, I'm sure, although I don't suppose that's much comfort at the moment.

    1) Appointment with nice GP and have another set of tablets to add to my collection, with an assurance I can still drink my beloved apple wobbleade as long as I don't overdo it.

    2) Fuss with a lovely, if somewhat over-exuberant, ginger cat - I walked away after a while as he was throwing himself around so excitedly that I was worried he'd hurt himself.

    3) Great tit family have already made a start on the new feeder I put up yesterday.

    4) Essay nearly finished - just the conclusion and bibliography to go when my enthusiasm returns in a day or so.

Four will have to do for now!
Back after a very long break!

    Live Scrabble

Not played for a while and BoPsie has been in form. Wobbleades in, Exmoor Beast for BoP. Reckon BoPsie in a shout after a sniff.

Early doors. BoPsie led off, after two turns, BoP leads by 1 on 29.

Tiles are lying out of the bag, Hic. Wobbleades are flowing. BoPsie storms into a lead, of 7!

Is looking good, one more wobbleade. Alas, BoPsie is in the lead! Argggh
