Oooo, Broomstick! Good news about the allotment. :-D And it's just the time for putting stuff in.

Here are my pleasures for yesterday (I'm never very good at remembering them after the event).

    1) A lie in!

    2) Porridge for breakfast.

    3) Very warm, sunny day and the washing dried outside.

    4) Popped down to mum and dad's village hall where there was a coffee morning.

    5) Went to the local steam railway to watch a couple of trains coming in and for sons to play in the museum. Their favourite bit is there are some old phones connected together and they can ring each other up. They are the phones of my childhood (with the dials) and they find that fascinating.

    6) Bigger son went to spend his pocket money on one of these: http://www.victorinox.com/ch/product/Swiss-Army-Knives/Category/SwissCards/SwissCards/SwissCard/0.7100.T

    7) Went on the allotment to try and rig up a hosepipe. Many arguments as we had one old hosepipe and about 5 different attachments and none of them really attached it to the tap properly (the tap across the driveway so nothing was simple). But I think everything got watered in the end.

    8) Fish and chips from the van for tea.

    9) Went for a walk in the local forest to look for deer. This is perhaps the only time we didn't see any! So we decided to walk down to the little stream instead.

Some of my weekendly pleasures :)

The most delicious Indian food we have ever tasted and very reasonably priced meal for dinner last night.

Worked yesterday and off today .

Up and about since 5am this morning, phoned my mum, did an ironing and then rejigged my dresser in the dining room. Now filled with blue dishes instead of red ones.

Sunday scone and mooch through the papers and supplements.

I had to return my lovely, comfy boots, I put them on this morning and they had split. Rather disappointed but was given a replacement pair.

Getting full refund for my broken eggs in my online delivery .

Sat and wrote some cards and letters this afternoon.

Quick chat with my sister this evening .

Enjoy the rest of your weekend....almost start of a new week for me !

    Mine for yesterday:

1 - Walking to and from work in the warmth.
2 - Lots of lovely chat with customers. The sunshine makes everyone so much cheerier.
3 - Jambalaya for dinner. Mostly all from stores. Haven't made it for years but it was delicious.
4 - Curled up on the couch watching The Green Mile with the other half.
5 - Some twitter chat with online friends.

    Afternoon all.

I've rather fallen out of the habit of posting recently, although I'm still reading every day - thought I'd better post some pleasures so you know I'm still here!

    1) Nice lie-in this morning, to make up for the fact I'm not sleeping well.

    2) Made myself go out for a walk along the seafront in the yellow stuff, and quite enjoyed it once I was out there.

    3) Then popped up to the shop and got some YS bargains, including a couple of almond croissants reduced to 20p each - nom noms for breakfast tomorrow!

    4) Did another 700 words of essay - only (!) another 1200 to go now... I don't think this will go down as one of my best efforts ever - I just hope the OU are feeling generous and take my mental health problems into account when deciding my degree result. :undecided

    5) Spotted a great tit family - two parents and two fluffy fledglings - in the garden, and decided it's probably a good thing that Isis is still refusing to go outside!

Day off tomorrow, to continue working on my essay, and I might try to get a GP appointment as I'm really not right at the moment - my DM reckons I need anti-depressants, and I've got a nasty feeling she might be right. :( Hope everyone else is feeling more cheery.
Back after a very long break!

Another restful day, just me, dd2, ds (who didnt surface till mid afternoon, 2 cats and 2 dogs. Not sunny but quite warm and dry so...
    1) got washing load #2 dry
    2) did quite a bit of gardening, dd came to help for some of it
    3) did some cooking - tuna fishcakes, hm ketchup (first time so experimenting- will use less vinegar next time. If anyone has a recipe...)
    4) risotto for lunch and tea. I lerv risotto and this one used up a few on their death bed veggies
    5) mum back from her hols. She came round and we went out for a cuppa and blether. So my chapter is still 700 words short -ccp can i borrow yours? ;-)
Right, another 90 mins might just see me finished. Oh but the garden still calls :-(

    Evening everyone! :hello:

What an amazingly lovely weekend. Gorgeous sunshine and spent with a great friend. Poor DH has been suffering from the virus that I seemed to have earlier last week.

So, my pleasures for the last couple of days:

    1) Went to the Matisse exhibition at Tate Modern yesterday. My friend has membership of the Tate, so managed to get us both in (legitimately!). Pretty impressive stuff, and I've got some ideas for art projects for my class!

    2) Afternoon tea with the same friend. Divine! Great to chat with my friend and come up with things to do before we're 40. Right, no pressure then! (5 years to go!)

    3) Saw my horse race today. Same friend as yesterday was there. Only my mum and I were there from the syndicate, which meant that we could chat happily to the jockey - who was the jockey who won the Grand National. Sorry that the syndicate has come to an end as it was pretty affordable. Oh well, that's £15 per month saved!

    4) DH has just bought some new shirts for work. He had a £15 voucher AND I forced him to go via TopCashBack. I am hoping for about £10 cashback!

    5) Planning done for the week! :j :j

    6) A friend has just text me asking whether I need another cheerleader for my 10k run next Sunday. Haven't seen her for ages, so it'll be great to see her and I really appreciate her support.

    7) Saw Claire Lomas today as she was collecting money for the charity she supports. She visited my school in December 2012, through the contact I'd made with her on Twitter! Amazing woman. She had her robotic suit with her, which is great to see. Well, not great that she needs a robotic suit to help her walk but incredible to think about what technology can do.

    8) Off to bed and read a few pages of my book.

    Night all

Quickly popping in to post todays pleasures then it's off to bed before the chaos of this week begins.

1 - A lie in. Was quite late to bed last night and tossed and turned so definitely enjoyed a little extra time in my bed.
2 - Bit of a wander in the sunshine.
3 - Food festival on here today. Was too busy for my liking but OH and I shared a yummy hog roast bun.
4 - Getting a few much needed jobs done around the house.
5 - Text from my sister telling me she has our Commonwealth Games tickets (not MSE but can't wait to be part of it!).

    4. I went to my spiritual home, the uni library, via...

    5. a coffee shop with someone I know from the village who I bumped in to. She was a wee bit dull....so....

    6. good job the iced coffee was scrumptious!

    7. returned a few and borrowed tons of books and CDs :)

    8. Planned what I thought was all the lessons I needed for the week, but have just come upstairs and realised there are a few more to do....eek!!
