KK: Those sort of conversations are fantastic.
I wasn’t given a choice today I had to stand up to the person at work, I admit they had pushed me so far I was literally visibly shaking:( I was so livid but I kept it together I did not swear but I made it clear what I thought and it was right to do, I am no longer going to “stress” and get chest pains over someone who is absolutely no consequence in my life, so a little yay go me in this corner, I was miffed that someone could push me that far as I would do anything to avoid confrontation.:)
1.Went from work to physio which was good.
2.We took our router back to argos this evening and got a replacement one, had a lovely silly chat with the sales lady
3.Came home and improvised tea as we really should have gone shopping but at the same time we are on a mission to use up things.
4.There is an amazing chirpily loud bird singing away at the moment and it’s nearly 9pm and only just getting darker.
5.Taking time out to pamper my feet, if it’s warm and sandal time this weekend.:p0 -
BoP - glad to hear that Raffles is aloof. Normal service has resumed?!
I was observed teaching a lesson today (again). The ones who are on a sticky wicket slipped off and let the side down - I was busy squashing some of them, but you can't be in all places at all times. Thankfully, the observer could see that I had my work cut out consistently. They could also see that it was a "warm environment" for a child to be in where everyone was valued. That was lovely to hear.
So, my pleasures for the day:
1) Steamed salmon with salad for supper. :j :j It was supposed to be a salmon with pesto thing (Jamie Oliver recipe) but I forgot to buy the pesto. Ooops. It was delicious anyway, and possibly healthier!
2) Used our Avios points to book to go to Madrid next Easter. It's DH's 40th birthday, so I allowed him to choose where we will visit. Then it was just down to where there was availability!!!! :rotfl:
3) Discovered that my teaching assistant and I have EXACTLY the same stance on money. We both get upset when we see people seemingly wasting money.
4) Trying to decide what to make for my next cake club. The theme is "Love Stamford, love cake". So, basically anything linked to Stamford - smart cake for Burghley, fat cake for Daniel Lambert, gin cake for....... erm, my favourite tipple?
5) Bed! I need it so, so much! Night all xxSealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Pleasures for today:
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Final SATs paper for smaller son.
3) Went on the allotment for half an hour.
4) Another day of postal votes! Turns out the lady sitting next to me works for the county council (who are treating her about as well as the district council treated us when I worked for them). The man on the other side of me was a reporter and finally we recognised each other from the days he used to photograph events at my work! So we got told off twice for talking too much. :-D
5) Made gammon, roast pots and parsnips and peas for tea.
6) Bigger son made some cookies.
That's about it! More postal votes tomorrow then I've got the weekend to give my many paper cuts time to heal. :-(0 -

How do I stick to the ceiling dundee doll? That would be telling! ( probably the cobwebs that hold me up there!
Spuds are on to boil, it's dark o'clock but not too chilly at the moment we've been enjoying a slightly warmer than it's been past few days ( but very windy) .
It's been my day off, woke up at more ridiculously early than normal (3am) had a lovely chat with my frend back home. A few things a worrying me at the moment so no use trying to get back to sleep. I'd had 5 hours and that's all I was getting!
Took my son for a medical test today, the good thing about being our here is the promptness of medical attention. Seen in days not weeks like it would be at home. He is my main worry at the moment....hoping for something and nothing but too much knowledge goes a long way
Anyway , GP for results on Monday so nothing we can do over the weekend.
Home and hung out some washing in the very breezy garden! It's had a good blow today
Went to salvos and returned jeans ( too wee) and top ( too much bust!) and for the balance of $2.75 I got a coat rack that says 'coat rack' . I had seen it the other day and liked it but not sure where it would go.....it's up on my office wall. I rather love it! Not putting coats on it ( incase of spiders) but have put OHs hat and some pretty scarves on it! Also got a blackboard for my kitchen. I do like blackboards.
A teeny bit of gardening. Watered the veggies (poor dead blackbird round the back at the waterbutts) and picked a few peas.
Watched a silly rom com movie whilst hoovering and pottering during the adverts!
Tried to have a snooze but that didn't really work. So had a flick through my free magazines.
From the old F&V shop....2kg of apples @$1.99 , a cauliflower for $1.80, more satsumas and bananas and popped back in for some of their $4.99kg mushrooms (half price). I think I will be flitting between the 2 shops getting the bargains!
Tonight I am making chicken schnitzels ( free from work) , mushroom sauce ( cheap mushrooms) and mashed potatoes ( big cheap bag from last week.)
Got my second online delivery last night , complained about some broken eggs so I'm waiting to hear back ( should have an emailed reply in 48 hours).
There , I managed to find some pleasurable things in amongst my wallowing. Do have a lovely Friday ....I'm off to mash some spuds0 -
Let’s get ready to Wrinkle
No foam beers, tunu or sweetcorn has been seen in the past 24 hours. Snorkers excluded! Yeah, yous lot are right, that cat is too harsh on BoPsie
Tests over, and sticky boots. Aye, attem. That is the BoP rule of thumb. But cruise your own waters, especially if you do not have the paddles, ensure you’re on the tiller. I hear science has been pilloried this week. First was the statins debacle, now, another climate report was suppressed because it did not meet the norm. Well, I await our brethren councillors to give us the report into how, after the £2.3 million bus lane at Highnam has increased bus reliability. I suppose it does not yet meet the desired result, and we will be further indioctrination of the proletariat until the answer meets the criteria. This will be achieved by another set of lights! Stop engineering and get on!
5 Raffles has enjoyed his reconnect with BoPsie and has been gifted a flyer, who unfortunately has folded their wings. A blue tit. Guess it will be a crested newt later for just deserts.
4 Now yestdi in the emporium, I needed some curdle soap for the trimming bits of my beard. They also had this stress cream for skin. What! Crinkles are good for you. Was after pure soap for the shave brush.
3 Curry later, no claw sandwiches today. Pure adultery, with raspberry jam. Yes, you know, you will have to try it as well. Big sis does not like the jam today theory. Yet she always appreciates the gravy. Made proper. Not of that Chitso. Gravy salt, cornflour. Mustard, oxo cube, sage and a bit of jam! Made with toe nailed clipped onions.
2 BoPsie has sorted the cupbored out for the morning. That means the usual, snorkers, mushrooms, toast, eggs and SpagYetti, straight cut this week, not hoops.
1 Mid the gap
Now on Sunday, at 4. Watch BTSport. BoP, blue hat at Wembley! Got it. Left hand side during first half I thinks. And a bib. Got it.
Late news, although Raffles was fed and watered this very morning, and he was sat on the side where his food is sourced, has unfortunately found another folded wing. He is on the naughty roof at the moment, proactively preventing a reoccupation of a nest.0 -

Almost a full week's posts replied to & the machine crashed.

Haven't posted in a while so thought I'd jump back in. Hope all is well with everyone.
Mine for today:
1 - Free tickets to an event in London.
2 - Had a spare ticket so passed it onto someone just before they bought themselves a ticket. They offered me money but I was just glad someone was getting the use of it.
3 - Lovely Cowshed goodie bags, one of wish I will pass on to my mam or sister.
4 - Sitting out on the terrace just now at my new place. Enjoying the lovely day.
5 - Awaiting the arrival of my other half. Love Fridays.0
