Hey Just a quick one sorry!
My Five for yesterday..
1. My windowledge sage has started to sprout so im all happy, next to be grown on my windowsill, sweet peppers and baby leaf salad!
2. I got most of the crossword answers by myself!
3. I started my first thread on MSE by writing to let everyone know about free chocolate voucher in the metro.
4. Left work at a reasonable time so was able to avoid massive crushes on the Tube.
5. Caught up with all my housemates who i haven't seen in a while. They are all doing fine.
Hope everyone has a good day!0 -
Afternoon everyone. Sorry I have been AWOL for a few days and am playing catch-up. Bit of a low day today as DHs Uncle passed away yesterday, he was such a character and we will miss him alot. Struggling a bit with my 5 today but here goes,
1) Basically, just feeling so grateful that I have DH to spend my life with.
2) Got a new pair of weighing scales, the ones for humans ....not food. Feeling quite excited that I know how much I really weigh now, it measures, body fat, water content and muscle as well:( Beginning to think it wasn't such a good idea.......after all.
3) Having the time to have a naughty, lazy day today. we did a four mile and a five mile trek at the weekend. They were really enjoyable walks but my legs ached a bit yesterday. Must do better.
4) At last there are a few baby Leek seedlings poking through the soil, summer is coming! Although nothing else is showing through at the moment -it has been so cold.
5) Have been invited over to DS1 on Sunday ...he is cooking us Mothers Day Dinner. I am really looking forward to it. Have what should be a lovely weekend coming up. Mothers Day on Sunday, My DMs 88th birthday on Monday, Bless her, (we never dreamed she would get to it, after nearly losing her at Xmas) Also it will be our 35th Wedding Anniversary on the same Monday, (which I think is Coral). We haven't planned anything special, but DH is having a day off work so we will spend the day together and visit DM.
Sorry, bit naughty, I think pleasure Number 5 is more about the future than the present, but I am looking forward to it:)
Have a great day everyone.Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

This will have to be a joint post for today and yesterday
1. Making my first batch of twinks hobnobs - how have I survived without these for so long!! Yuummmmmmm
2. Going to my friend's house to do an exercise video - much cheaper than the exercise classes at the gym
3. Have done meal plans for the next 2 weeks, v organised
4. Was given some clothes by a friend clearing out her wardrobe - free shopping!
5. Am now going to sort through my own wardrobe to declutter and return the favour0 -
Good evening everyone. I hope you've all had a good (or at least bearable) sort of day.
My five for today:
1) The first flowers on my spirea have started opening. Anyone would think it was nearly spring or something.
2) In a replay of yesterday, I mooched down to the chocolate shop about a mile from my office - and discovered they no longer sell handmade chocolates.Again, it was a nice walk in the sunshine, though.
3) Managing to bite my tongue when one of my oh-so-charming colleagues let the office door go in my face, and not letting him know in front of everyone just how rude (and dangerous, as it's a heavy wooden fire door) that was.
4) Deciding I didn't fancy the risotto I had planned to have for dinner, and putting together an alternative purely from what's in the fridge and storecupboards.(And I must stop putting risotto on my meal plan - I've really got to be in a particular mood to enjoy risotto, and I very rarely am, so I generally end up changing my mind and having something else.
)
5) Putting together my meal plans for the next two weeks (sans risotto), for which I will have to buy a total of about three items - everything else is from the storecupboard. :j
Have a good evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -

Hi. Mine don't seem much compared to some of you:o Since arriving at this board I am trying to reduce our waste.
1. Using up the half onion I had put in the fridge instead putting it in the bin.
2. Using up the remains of some cooked chicken (with the onion) instead of putting it in the dog.
3. Making my first lemon drizzle cake with DD. It's gorgeous. My friend brought one round a few weeks ago that she bought from the local Deli, it was half the size of mine and she payed £4:eek:
4. Making some breadcrumbs with stale bread to freeze.
5. A longer than usual walk with my dog and his mates.
Quite pleased with myself now:DSealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0 -
