Weather still yukky here. Today was cold and foggy. On the up side
1) my lift is back from hols
2) treated myself to a lovely red heart stone i kept seeing when the shop was shut. It says 'you are beautiful' in white on it and was the princely sum of £2:50. It makes me smile
3) free lunch at seminar so brought lunch home and had for tea
4) got charged 20p for hot water by student union. I thought it was free like it is up at the hospital. Oh well 20p is less than £1.20 for a cup of tea
5) left work early (as in only 20 minutes late so early for me). Walked home (saving bus fare) and cleaned downstairs and my bedroom. Now sitting in my tidy clean sitting room, dogs munching contentedly on raw hide chews i found while tidying, candles lit, glass of cider at my side. I'll walk the dogs soon then i think it'll be beddy byes time for ddMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Sorry, I haven't forgotten about doggie biscuit recipes, will find them asap xx
& - REST as much as you can, and you too, VJsmum! I feel like a fussy mummy, but please rest your aching bodies xx
1. Not only was the dreaded essay submitted online but the paper version is out of my life as well, having had to hand it in this morning
2. Lovely to see uni chums
3. Not a huge pleasure, but one of my folders has been selected for marking on Friday, but the pleasure is, I'm 99% happy with it so won't be panicking (much) about it!
4. Have set up my meeting to discuss my lesson planning problems for next week.
5. Went out for a lovely lunch with 4 uni chums, a ladies lunch in a lovely country pub, much more civilised than 28 of us piling into a cheapy curry house!
6. A lovely lady in the partnerships office told me early (we're not supposed to find out until Monday) which school I'm going to for my final placement. I'm pleased as it's really local to me (about 10 mins drive) and is one of the smallest schools I've ever heard of, with only 2 classes in total!
However, I'll certainly be on a steep learning curve - as it's a mixed R/1/2 class! Gulp. That'll hopefully help with lesson planning, I can just put everything in for each year group and hopefully they'll all hit some of the targets, lol.
Roll on May
7. Yummy lentil lasagne for dinner and leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
8. Took a bag of goodies to our favourite charity shop.
9. I bought a couple more cheapie bits for the flat.
10. Uni chums are rallying around bringing in files to help me and the other unfortunate one who has been picked to have her maths file inspected. Phew!0 -
Raffles, who earlier this evening was caught bringing a toad into the house, had unfortunately been out, whilst I went and collected BoPsie.
I regret to announce, there can be only one conclusion to the marks on the floor!0 -
I'm assuming the toad has croaked it bopMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Well done on finishing the essay of doom, Kittikins.
Here are my pleasures for today:
1) A lie in!
2) Lots of phone calls and texts from sons.
3) Went to Hereford for a look round and got bigger son a box of jokes and tricks from one of the second hand shops. Had lunch in my favourite caf!.
4) Stopped in Ludlow on the way home and got a White Stuff dress from a charity shop. :-)
5) Got lost on the way home - which you might think impossible but the road out of the town was shut and I ended up having a little tour of Shropshire! The "wrong" Clee Hill loomed very close but I managed to drive between the 2 on some very pretty little lanes and ended up at "our" Clee Hill!
6) Finished the 3rd module of my distance learning course, just got to post it tomorrow.
7) Tidied a bit and cleaned the bathroom.
8) Made a mushroom curry for my tea.
9) Caught up with the Archers and watched episode 1 of the Allotment programme.
10) Sitting with the fire going well now.0 -
Evening all :hello:
A really quick visit on here to share my pleasures:
1) Realised I have a "Save £6 when you spend £40 at W**trose voucher. Now, do I buy groceries or gin?
2) Gave birthday present to a friend. She's delighted with it!
3) Catch up with the same friend at a new restaurant in town. She had a discount voucher which she'd discovered online.
4) Had a lovely bath when I returned from work.
5) Organised to go and do the risk assessment for my class's visit to Cadbury World soon. We get two free teacher tickets in order to carry out the risk assessment, so I'm going this Saturday with my clipboard in hand! Just so that I know where to tell my cherubs to meet me when I've fallen into the vat of chocolate you understand.:rotfl:
