Thanks for the link, VickyA and I hope you've had a lovely birthday.

    Get well now, Kittikins.

Here are my pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Smaller son went on his school trip to Birmingham! Without me! And enjoyed it!! He said Thinktank hadn't booked the school in properly so the planned activity wasn't running and they were allowed to just look round. :-)

    3) Went to pilates but no one turned up. So I had a cup of tea with my brother instead.

    4) Got some bark chippings from the pile in the local forest.

    5) 2 hours on the allotment today! My 4 big plots will be in the centre and they're all dug and raked over. :-) Built the edges for the first (10m x 1.5). What an awkward job, nailing those together and staking them to the ground. Put my bark chippings down between the greenhouse and the shed.

    6) Fred, who has the allotment opposite mine, gave me some parsnips.

    7) Watched Holby.

Is your daughter over 18, VJsmum? I ask only because my GP said she would refer me for diagnosis only to find ALL the adult Autism services have been slashed and it is almost impossible now.

Just wondering if she was still 17, this might be the time to get the ball rolling.

Tony Attwood is the guru, I think, if you want to read more. I've got the big guide if you want me to post it to you?

More later, bigger son has made pancakes and is handing them my way.

Thank you. She is 17, 18 in July. I had a quick look at his website, her "quirks" still largely fit the pattern, out of the symptoms he quotes, she has them all to some degree or other. I am very sure I am right.

    Anyway pleasures for the day

An appreciative email from a student thanking me for the extra effort I put in with him
Two lots of invigilating meant I could catch up,with OS stuff
A different route to work that was quicker
DS enjoyed his birthday and now has a present
Nice meal out with tesco vouchers
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Well that's work done and dusted for a few days. Hurrah! Had a good day though and finished the tiniest bit earlier so got an earlier train and was home earlier than usual! Lovely!

A pleasure waking up at body clock time , which last couple of days has been about 6.20 am, it's dark in the mornings and the birds aren't up until about 6.40am.

Train to and from work, I love when I'm coming home and we go past the traffic I would be caught up in.

Just looking out my front window and the leaves on the huge acer tree are changing colour and the wind is starting to blow them off the tree, it's been such a lovely day here. A bit nippy in the morning and then very pleasant through the day, to be cooler this evening. OH talking about the heating going on soon.....not if I can help it, a jumper will be just fine !

Easy peasy dinner for kids tonight...thanks work!

That's about it! Got up, went to work, work and then home from work!

Happy birthday ( belatedly ) to Vicky , enjoy going out for dinner,
vjs mum hopefully you can get the help and support you need. Could you maybe give some organisation a call to discuss your concerns. I'm not sure who you could call but there must be some thing!

    Have a lovely day :)

  • This is not the end.

Oh dear, :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls poorlies. What can I say. If you ares going to be poorly, get a hot toddy. Lemon, local honey and a bit of warmed whiskey. The English Whisky Company can provide the water. Exam watchers, clean sheets to the wind. Pancakes. Animal cuddles. Flowers. Now BoPette got flowers from W8Rz on Monday. 2 for £5 on the carnations. They were 15P each!, and Tulips at 22P. She got 48P back for buying flowers. Barguns! DD is not Friday, so not allowed. Parsnips. Doubt at 4 points a week our T vouchers will be coming at Easter Current balance is about 25! Done and Dusted.

5 Sat down twice and got up once, or was it the other way around. And was on fine form doing the photos last night. Though I think none of the teams I saw last night will be leaving with DD. Too short and too late, mind you the mixer is getting rather full this season

4 I see there is a low pressure system to the west of Iceland, and the High pressure keeping the frogs down in the Bay of Biscay. You know what that means, there will be no test of the Yellow Thing this weekend, sorry.

3 No claw sandwiches this week, just cheese, onion and marmite. You know you want to ry it, so go on.

2 Nite mes and BoPette are playing Scrabble. She was trounced the other night at UC. BoP got the Winston Churchill question correct

    1 Depends on the game

To make it easier to get over the Hillary Step, ladders are going to be permanently put in place.

& the budget. No yellow thing in the Fens

Beer Up, Fags Up, Petrol Up
    There!

BoP it's fffffreezing cold oop 'ere! But -
sorry ampersand, I'm sitting in a big squidgy armchair in a window, in the only patch of sun to be found and am quite toasty at the moment. The yellow thing must have snook into my boot when I was packing up the car yesterday ;)
    1. Friend's new little house is a dream, a typical Yorkshire cottage not five minutes walk from the moors and Bronte country. In fact this is the author sister's village, which gives away my current location :)
    2. Went out to meet some of my friends friends last night, only one local, the rest a new Zealander, a Londoner, two from Surrey, and my friend, an Australian. All living here now and loving it - I can understand why
    3. Had an amazing dinner last night, they certainly know how to fill up a plate!
    4. Slept like a log, friend had to wake me at 8.30am. Twas a long drive and a busy day, followed by a very comfortable bed:)
    5. Friend is at work today so I've earned my keep by pottering with a duster and making the most tremendous fuss of her two miniature Schnauzers. They appear to appreciate it, they haven't left my side since breakfast. Maybe sharing my toast has something to do with it ;)

Enjoy the rest of the day (I'll look after the yellow thing and return with it it next week )

hot toddy. Lemon, local honey and a bit of warmed whiskey.
    to which I'll add:
hot toddy. Lemon, local honey and a bit of warmed whisky.
    ...than which both=nowt mieux;)

    ...save for &'s cheese-grater wisdom.
