Welcome back sparrer and bon voyage x

Typing from bed, feel worse than yesterday :( but at least I got to help my daddykins with something and saw DD before school :)

Ampersand - not sure about the children, but I'd LOVE to hear M. Vegas' Puddleduck. Wonder if it's on yooohootube?

VickyA - I agree with the others, the Hello Kitty slippers/Auzzie socks combo needs to be shared with your class :) Maybe as a birthday treat? Hope you have a lovely day x

Evening all,,,,the crickets have just started up their nightly chorus .very loud !

So that's Tuesday almost done and dusted. I'm glad to see sparrer is back ....I like us all to be here....although I know real life sometimes takes over!! Have a lovely trip away.

Good sleep, woke up with my body clock rather than the alarm clock.
Nice chat with friend from home.....even hung the washing out as I yakked!

Good day at work. Old Bump Her Gums ( aka interesting staff dynamic person) was certainly bumping them today....whatevs!

Train home....on,y 4 minutes to wait for the train.

Made omelettes for tea. Brought sandwiches home, they will do lunches tomorrow .

Watered the veggies, our storm from the other day semi filled the water butts, which is good news. The peas are starting to pod and the new pea seedlings are popping through. We ( OH!) also planted turnip, spring onion, radishes. This is our autumn crop. He also moved my lemon tree from pot to ground. I sincerely hope it copes with the transition.

Beautiful, sight of lorikeets and cockatoos flying overhead as I walked home from train station.

Pinched 2 jelly babies from DD2, she received a late birthday gift today which included jelly babies. They were delicious !

    Have a terrific Tuesday :)

  • They huffed and puffed in the name of science.

So the waves that created the universe have been found, yet most will slumber on. Bins in the relatives thread again, absolute corker in there. All too much hanky spanky for me.

Well rested and furred by that restive nap. And I come back to some caustic cookbook. Well, we eats proper in our pad. Spotted !!!!!!, Stew and Dumplings, babies heads. You name it, we eat them! But must say, got to try that Bacon and Apple fry up. I thinks I may put Kidney and Liver in it. Poor BoPette, she no lick food like that, so it will be all mines.

You be careful up north there Sparra. Spring is not blown yet, and it be cold. And I see the omelettes are flowing freely. I like the Edinburgh version. Brown crusted buttered toast, Scrambled Eggs and spinach., Cold Salmon slices, smoked. Sprinkle of pepper, cracked not the dusting variety, topped with fresh lemon and parsley.

I note I have made another OLAF moment, Out Lived Another …

5 Blessed DD, my house has gone with that. Absolute no feet that Mr Gray. Gutted and now BoPette has no housekeeping morning until May. So remember, never a clout till May is out. N’er mind though, I have my wobbleades in. Always think of me thirst.

4 No real babies head were used in this post, they are small Snake and Snail puddings, floating in toe nail onion gravy

3 The cherry tree shows signgs of buds, Spring is in the air, boing boing boing!

2 Night is another football match, the fourth in as many days, and I will be neutral as I cannot lose. Forest Green vs Grimsby. Both teams will play each other next year though.

1 Bring back the smoking beagles.

Note, spinach gives you iron and does not make your hair rusty.

Afternoon all, I am invigilating. Such an interesting thing to do - NOT.

I hope you are all well, and welcome back Sparrer

Happy birthday, Vicky - my DS is 15 today. It's a shame he hasn't got a present yet :D. I am hoping we go to get it tonight.

Some of you may have seen on another thread, that I have had a "blinding flash" realisation that my DD is likely to have Aspergers :(. I don't quite know what to do as she is about to sit her A levels in a few weeks, so I think- apart from telling OH- I will have to sit on it for a while, and get a diagnosis in the summer. it all fits though. and whilst I know online diagnoses are dangerous, it was piecing together bits of this and that in her behaviour that led me to look there - she has obsessive interests, talks incessantly about things that interest her, has some social phobias etc,. Whilst I am a bit upset, it is something of a relief as we will be able to get her some coping skills and it isn't just that she is "weird".

Difficult to bear this knowledge alone, but OH is away for a few days and I can't tell him over the phone, so I am sorry but you are burdened.

    Anyhow, pleasures for Sunday

1 my lovely sister arrived safe and sound and we had a really nice evening
2 OH cooked lasagne and DD made cheesecake - though that ended up as individual pots of lemony flavoured goo on biscuit base :D. But tasted OK
3 OH and I went for a lovely walk we've never done before - even though we've been here 15 years. Well, we have done some bits, but found a new path. It was such a lovely early evening we just had to get out in it.
4 DS got man of the match, even though his team lost.
5 DDs driving didn't get us killed on a roundabout. But it nearly did

    And yesterday

1 had a nice potter-y type morning and a cheeky early lunch with friend
2 had only two students this PM again, but they are two of my favourites and one of them is a carpenter so helped me teach the other one about roof structures
3 had popped a chicken into slow cooker so had roast cockney haha love autocorrect so much, I am keeping that :rotfl::rotfl:
4 DS and lovely sister went skiing at indoor ski centre. I treated LS for DS birthday, he doesn't often get someone to go with as its the parents of his only friend who skis who own the ski centre so we can't ask him in case they think we want a freebie,
    5 Clean sheets

Have a lovely rest of day all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Is your daughter over 18, VJsmum? I ask only because my GP said she would refer me for diagnosis only to find ALL the adult Autism services have been slashed and it is almost impossible now.

Just wondering if she was still 17, this might be the time to get the ball rolling.

Tony Attwood is the guru, I think, if you want to read more. I've got the big guide if you want me to post it to you?

More later, bigger son has made pancakes and is handing them my way.

    4. Slept like a log most of the day :) Still feel shocking, but will need to go in tomorrow for my uni tutor's visit and observation......grrr.

    Evening all!

Happy birthday to VJsmum's DS! :D

Kittikins - I hope you're on the mend properly. Horrid being ill, especially when you have to face cherubs AND an observation. I'm being observed tomorrow by a lady from the LA. Joy!

Frith - I thought of you when I saw this about the Big Allotment Challenge

    So, my pleasures for today:

    1) Lovely birthday card hastily made by two of my class. So, so lovely. Another child had written "I'm good at maths because Mrs VickyA says I am". We're half way to him believing that he is good at maths (he genuinely is!).

    2) NSD :j :j

    3) Special birthday supper of sausages! DH is taking me out for a meal tomorrow night as I have an observation tomorrow so I need to stress about that first!

    4) Realised that I'm (hopefully) going to have a decent excess at the end of this month to transfer into savings. Keeping my fingers crossed though.

    5) DH bought me flowers as well as my lovely presents. Very lucky. :D Him and me!

    1) lovely admin bod came through as i was fretting over lecture for this morning bearing gifts of fun size crunchie
    2) That awkward moment when you are showing a youtube clip for mobile learning to an international audience of masters students and it suddenly changes to 'why i stopped watching !!!!!!' eek
    3) that happy moment when you switch it off when it has shwon nothing worse than a picture of michelangelo's cistine channel and convert it to a teaching opportunity (phew)
    4) when all your colleagues have gone home for the night and you've still got the day's lectures to check and load and you discover sweeties on the 'help yourself' tray. So you do
    5) when your xoh who is a technical genius manages to stop ads on stvplayer so you can watch dci banks without ads.
Bon voyage sparrer, happy birthday vicky, hiss boo bop re the footie, thinking of you vjsmum, get well soon kk, waves to all my loverly virtual friends
