Look at me all wide awake and posting during daylight hours.
Sunday afternoon ,a pleasant 22o and a nice breeze a blowing .
Decent enough sleep then woke up at ridiculously early o'clock , managed to fall asleep after about an hour and then oh how I struggled when the alarm went off....however we don't open until an hour later on Sunday and as I was driving didn't need to leave as early.
Busy day at work.
Good drive home.
OH and I went out for late lunch.
Reading a lovely book, just sat with my feet tucked up under me on my sofa in my office.enjoying the view of the garden and the birdsong.
Need to go and make a birthday cake a la Percy Pig....secret supplies stashed from our trip home at Christmas!
Have a lovely Sunday x0 -

2. 60 jars marmalade, ginger and vernacular, left at vicarage hier, boldly labelled+priced @£2:o. For wells, for anything school-y, as per Holy eggs:D:
'...have developed a link with the Diocese of Mara in Tanzania and for two weeks a small group of us had the privilege of sharing their life. The contrast between what we and they would see as sufficiency is stark. We take it for granted that our children will have the opportunity of schooling up the age of 18 and then move onto to further or higher education. In Tanzania, free education is available to children from the ages of 7 to 14. Some pupils walk miles to school and back each day under a burning sun. Secondary education is only available to those who can afford to pay. Over the past few decades, we in Britain have striven to train more teachers so that children can be taught in smaller classes enabling individual attention to be given to each child. The average class size in Mara was 60-70 children while the largest class we saw was 150. As someone who enjoys possessing books in considerable number it was a shock to learn that in most classes one book has to be shared between 10 children. The children were delighted with the small gifts we brought – pencils and crayons, something children in our primary schools had to admit would not be the kind of present they would hope to receive. So did we return with a feeling of depression having seen the sheer gulf between the privileges we enjoy and the deprivation facing people in Tanzania? The answer is no. What we saw were committed Christians working to make the best use of the resources available to them, and most importantly, working as a community to support each other. It was humbling to see how small gifts that our communities have given, have been channelled into life changing projects. The construction of wells is one way in which life can be changed. Where previously women and schoolchildren, would have had to walk 9 miles to collect water, now this most precious commodity can be available in the midst of their community. The effort that previously went into collecting water, can now be turned to cultivating land or tending livestock.'
It must be about this time that I met Vic. by chance at bus stop last year.
An idea...

Ampersand, I hope they all sell within minutes. That was a sobering piece of reading.
1. Washing drying on the airers over the landing as I type. Well, if the heating is going to be on ... The drier does seem to gobble electricity.
2. Have been able to give my brother's partner her flan dish back. I've had it out on the work top since Christmas, so the kitchen looks a lot tidier.
3. Found all the fabric I need for the quilt I am making, thanks to the generosity of other quilting friends and a certain amount of hoarding.
4. Made a slow cooker curry today with bits of left over chicken and veg from the wrinkly section of the fridge.
5. Cleared out the bottom of the freezer. I hate throwing food away but sometimes I just have to be brave and tell myself that it shouldn't have got there in the first place.0 -
Quick, before I go on and on and on and on and on, can someone remove & from her putah. it as gone purple!
Now get a butchers at this!

Careful upset tums. Odds on from the Bookie. Isis breaks free.
5 Fish and Chips for tea, with mushy peas. Homemade as you nose. Salmon, game chips, mushy peas. Served with another dollop of Spotted !!!!!!. Now only one SD left in the fridge.

Clear out has begun! Now got a bag with DVDs and some books, going to try getting rid of them at work first and foremost and then take it from there. Sadly the space that was created on my bookcase has already been taken up and there's no room for another one (I rent a small room in west London, space is at a premium XD)
1. Had a nice walk around Kew Gardens this morning while the sun was out. There's a virtual carpet of crocuses out there at the moment.
2. Got lots of postive ratings from Ciao and DooYoo for my latest reviews.
3. Parents phoned, seeing the whole family next Saturday so had a quick chat but it's nice to hear how they and my siblings are doing.
4. Had roast chicken and rosemary potatoes for dinner, plenty of leftovers for tomorrow night's dinner too.
5. Just generally had a nice relaxing day watching DVDs and reading various forums.
Have a nice week everyone!0 -
1. My parents - who looked after DD for me yesterday when we got home from our exciting mummy/daughter day with a splitting headache and very tired.
2. DD - she suggested we go to the Pit Rivers and Natural History Museum, recently reopened - fabulous!Didn't see the shrunken heads but admired the local dinosaurs
3. Cheapy lunch at a pizza establishment with a voucher, naturally!
4. Woke up feeling vaguely human this morning.
5. Have booked DD's birthday party - all I have to do is pay! Pizza making, nomnom.
6. NSD
7. My night out on Friday was fun - not quite my bag, going to an over 30's disco, but something to be remembered, not least for a man we nicknamed 'Boris J0hnson' for his hair and dancing style, lol.
8. I just have 4 lessons left to plan for the week......better get on then!0 -
bop-glad to see you made it to Stade Mayol hier soir for Rugby Papers-type work.
Toulon are in their rouge, as your fotie well shows.
Jonny's about to run 70-yards for a glory try.
Oyonnax also took part.
8 chaps take turns to run prettily to the far end. Mitchell, liking the feeling well, does it twice -

Final score is 64-10.
At least for now, we top the Super14.
Jonny's French is good to hear and
'Vous avez !lu Jonny Wilkinson homme du match Cr!dit Agricole ! F!licitations à lui, 101e match avec le RCT !'
& is glad he is content there and understands why.
This game employs le ballon ovale.

All but one are true.
Albion, meantime, require 6 to win, with a stick of rhubarb. Better not be one of mine.

-They've just done it: Series levelled. Captain Broad has seen it through, with a boundary. Looked highly unlikely after usual implosion.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Good evening everybody

Broomstick - hope you are feeling better
Ampersand - lovely idea and a humbling read. We do take things for granted, don't we? My students grumble if the blessed projector plays up
BB- lurve rosemary potatoes
Pleasures for yesterday
1 it's march. And lovely sunshine to boot
2 had a soak in the bath
3 had a walk into town and bought the MiLs birthday present. A perfume and body lotion set. She is so difficult to buy for
4 wore some springy type clothes.. It was nice to wear something different
5 went to visit MiL new bungalow, she has moved into a Wardened complex and is much more suitable for her. Also visited SiL - it s a bit odd as SiL has bought MiLs house and it doesn't look that different. OH and his sister seem to think MiL should be perfectly OK after it has all happened, but I am a little more sympathetic. If I was a bit freaked out, then goodness knows how she must feel.
And for today
1 mucking about in bed with OH this morning. No, not like that, just Playing the fool. Couldn't stop giggling
2 the smell of wood fire n the air. I don't hate everything about cold weather
3 DS buckled down to some homework. He seems to be displaying signs of wanting to do well in his exams. He is only year 10 so there is lots of time yet
4 dad was much chirpier on the phone, I think he has been unwell without knowing it and is now rather better
5 went out for a family meal, had a lovely evening,
Night allI wanna be in the room where it happens0
